    Do share how you gather your stats, for I and few of the Somali professionals ladies that I know of seem to only come across are self-absorbed ******. That's if you exclude the non-Somalis.

     

    Lakiinse only a weak person will opt for the easy solution that is to marry a naive girl rather than someone who is conscious of her life. Remember inadeer 'behind every great man there is a great woman'. Why would you shackle yourself to a bakhti?

    Is there a policy in place that obliges SOL Admin to reply back to PMs within certain number of days?

     

    I am still waiting for a response to an email which I have sent more than 4 months ago.

     

    In all fairness, since we are not charged they are exempt from prioritising us although this would mean poor customer service.

    Thanks for the advice Bob, will try to adhere to it.

    Lakiin i find it daunting that it is permissible for the husband to come and go as he wishes while the wife has to take permission.

     

    In cases where the husband abuses his position ie refusing the wife to go to work or socialise with her friends be it male or female. What then, is it wrong to refute his request without been sinful? Surely everything is about compromising and accepting each other flaws.

     

    I truly like the idea that the men should provide for their wives whilst the latter should not be demanding but kind and respectful.

    Ramadan definitely mellowed you! Lakiin no matter how good your intentions are most of the advice will fall on deaf ears. I found most of the prejudice towards how a woman should look comes from other women rather than men. Why are women harsh towards one and another.

     

    I believe that one should be beautiful for Allah and for him only.

    Gosh wish fasting was compulsory or food during office hrs & meetings prohibited during Ramadan in the west!

    Definitely need to migrate to a Muslim country.

    No one is disputing that every couple should give their partner space including time for their friends etc.

     

    Lakin so there should be quality time for their spouse. One should show that they care and appreciative their spouse whitout been told?

     

    Buy them small gift if possible, give them hugs and kisses. Surprise your partner with something that would make them happy on the odd occasions. Appreciation is a two way process inabti.

    Ok so maybe the woman sounds loca to some of us but I honestly don't see what the fuss is. As far as she is concerned she found this poor bereft needy monkey and she became attached and decided to adopt him. Some people get attached to other things beside human for instance men and cars.

     

    Besides what's with all the monkey topics lately with SOL?

    Totally agree with you D & D. The best way to get things from your hubby is dropping subtle hints and be totally appreciative and surprised when he act upon them. Let him believe that he did it on his own initiave, honestly men can be ****** sometimes but so what in the end you get your cake without the hassle and moanings.

    Thanks for the thread walaal, very useful especially with ramadan close by.

     

    I thought we should use your thread as a way of sharing duas and good deeds inpreparation to the holy month. I've heard the below dua recently:
