  1. ^LOL Lily... I get the catoo iyo jacel speech too from family. Before I used to feel irated lakiin now it's really hilarious. Both are outside my controls so I don't let negative opinions get to me.

  2. Che- that 2nd pic est un petit peu risqué, a little up to the loog and our eyes would definitely be feasting on something. ;)

Zafir- since you posted, what’s with the oodey Somali and gadh casees? Vanity, or what? On a serious note, the message from that photo is wrong and detrimental to our image as a Somali nation.

  3. Hey Shumey

Best of luck with your new post walaal.

About your queries I have no advice to offer for I have never been to Puntland but hope to do so one day Insha A.

Cost of living will be cheaper than the West. Transport based on my experience from other regions in Somalia, I would advice you to rent a car depending on the lenght of your stay.

By the way, in what field will you be specialising?

  4. Are the Madhibaan tribe referred to or known by that M title universally by Somalis? If so is there a particular reason behind it?

We all have a certain degree of prejudice, it just that some people take it to the next level.

If it is any consolation, I have been called M by some ****** faraxs just because I refuted their advances. Hence I am assuming that M word is not exclusive to the Madhibaan tribe.

  5. Ngonge, it seems that you are setting off a trend of dreams. I myself had a bizarre dream last night about few SOL members although not as vivid as yours but nonetheless strange. Unlike you I did not suffer from lack of sleep nor did I eat cheese hence I can only assume that this was a catalyst from reading your dream.

From the odd flashes that I recall there was a killer on the loose and the suspect was a SOL member with the initial MM which in my dream I related to be Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar. Whilst you, NG was the senior investigator although I have no idea of your resemblance I remember clearly you setting off orders and relaying to everyone including moi that MN was about to poison and kill a girl. His whereabouts although unknown, you knew that he was inside a car with the victim and this information was relayed to you by the victim’s sister who herself managed to have escaped from the suspect upon setting on her and the unfortunate sister now a victim. I have no idea who the girls were but I am assuming SOL members since all characters were Somali and the one I could name where acquaintance from SOL.

To make matters more bizarre when the suspect was caught it turns out that after all he wasn’t MN instead he was this lanky oddly proportioned afro hair dude who was none other than Cano Geel!

Advice to oneself, cut down on time spent browsing SOL!!!!

  6. NG - Take it home and live it intentionally on top of the diner table for your missus to open and read which with no doubt she will relay the content to you. Alas you would be secured in the knowledge that you did not directly break her promise but at the same time you are informed to take necessary action.

  7. Actually according to certain arab cultural, the gold mask is worn by married women to indicate their status ie that they were no longer available for courting.

Correct me if I am wrong but a similar process to differentiate married women from non-married used to be employed by Somalis.

  8. Samiir iyo imaan walaal.

Ilaheey jana fardosa agaal haa kasiyo abaha and make him one of those blessed to be near the prophet and see the face of our loved creator insha Allah.

  9. LOL Ngonge you crack me up!

Have you ever considered writing short stories or even a fiction book. I am now a die-hard fun. Please monsieur write more of your dreams, the more vivid and naughty the better. ;)

  10. Ghanima, you have to admit there is something fishy about the lady.

I 100% agree that one should not be ridiculed because they chose to deviate from the norm. Lakiin her action belie her image. For one the water will mould the hijab to her body defying her main purpose.

Nepthys- thanks for the clarification :D

  11. I honestly don't get the point of your topics SJ.

You pose the group a question of which you don't respond to it. Why I exempt yourself I ask?

What did you expect, that everyone will point out that girl that you secretly adore to be the most sought after by all members? Or did you hope for the women to vie for that position? How naive of you to think that you will get a straight answer.

Come up with something better amigo. ;)

  12. Out of curiosity, do such women go to the changing room or head straight for the swim pool, put their borso aside, slip off their shoes but keep the socks on.

Still, everyone should have the right to swim as they please including skinny deeping.

  13. Nomads please help.

I am trying to send a PM lakiin for some reason my messages are automatically addressed to Admin.

    What am I doing wrong?

    mahadsanid

  14. Actually swimming in such full gear is not so bad of an idea especially for those wanting to lose weight.

The poor girl wants to frolic in the open with her husband and at the same time not inflict her faith.
