    Do you Pray?

wa salams, questions, questions.... i have no idea what the purpose is, but does it make u think? its only a question besides its an anonymous poll and none should be worried about what others think, but Allah knows what is hidden and what is revealed.

    Do you Pray?

Do you pray salat? Observe the pillar of Islam which makes us a Muslim? Not two times a day, 3, 4 times a day, but 5 times a day? Take the poll, insha-Allah. if you don't observe this pillar, make the change today and pray your salat. To make the task easy for yourself, listen to the Quran its good for the heart. Wa salamun.

lol@ Arab words. what up me? THis is a very important topic in Islam my brother and will prove to be very educational as it deals with our current state, deterition as an ummah, in particular the scholarship/fiqh of Islam. i have some ideas from my study but am afraid i can not convey the message as it should be and don't want to "misinform" or leave the viewers disatisfied. Since others are not par-taking in the discussion i will do my research further, double check with the imam and get back to this topic God-willing. If others have information/notes from classes, websites, comments, ect please add them Insha-Allah. Jazka-Allah Khair. salams
  6. ^Sxb, it was a pull to make u watch lol. I am not trying to start a fight or anything, but the message and the poster are a contradiction i most say. Miss Bone Thugz, before you speak about changing youth and being a role model to youth, check yourself first and your attitude, which stinks. From your persona and behavior on SOL i would say u are the one in need of mentoring and help, attitude adjustment is needed, lack positivity and integrity, I can only imagine what u would write had there been no golden rules on this site. but then again it could be just a "persona" online and you are compeltly a different person on the street. In any case this is a good initiative and wonderful that u care about the youth, the best of luck in your endeavours Insha-Allah.

Lets hope not! VOte if u can that is.
  10. ^^lol. Lakin ninyahow, honestly saxib, there is a lot political trash talking, it will come with the territory, politics is a dirty game. Looking at the facts, Thepoint your a smart guy akhi, the Clinton's have done great for this country, the economy, ect. America was much better off, and its time to replace the Republican Party with Democratic Leadership, and Sen. Clinton is the best candidate in my opinion. Wouldn't you say so, ThePoint? Remember, with Bill to back her up ya dig. Red, its too soon to make any call. But Sen. Hilary message has the right message, consistent message throughout, not the flip flopping of Edwards/Obama on key votes in the Senate which were highlighted in previous debates and as she rightfully put it, talking fancy and making political promises doesn't produce the results. ps: they are all part of the establishment or they wouldn't be part of the race. LabaX, i am very much political aware and involved, afterall this is where I live, I may not agree with with some political views, but closely following this election and the candidates.
  11. lol cracking jokes huh, 2 yrs in roll not cool
  12. Obama is just media hype like Howard Deen in the past. And the man is easily influenced, not cool. I watched the debate on Saturday, Hilary spoke well, very well, Edwards and Obama two-teamed Sen. Hilary. But... She is a toughie woohooo, Hilary. i met the Clinton's when i was in elementary school so we go back and Insha-Allah they will be back in the white house! um actually suprised ppl here are interested in American politics, somalis i meet usually don't care for elections, and assume ahh they'll just pick a red-neck. peace out
  13. Big Night for Clinton, McCain winners of New Hampshire Primary Video , Hilary Exposes Obama
  14. ^^and u say 10%? lol..., Ismahan your estimates are closer to the truth walaleey. When i said the same thing while back, 90% i also got the same responses from other cats. Originally posted by NGONGE: LX, Do you believe you have the RIGHT to make the WRONG choices? Do you think someone else should decide what's right and what's wrong for you? I know this was directed as LX, and i didn't follow the discussion or watch the video, but to answer this question in another form, absoutly yes. Why are laws made? Where do laws come from? they dont come from thin air. If your choices as an individual are harmful to the majority (society), then people concerned citizens lobby and get legislations passed to change current policies. Who decides if your choices are harmful? Well the majority does. (speaking from a non-religious prespective) ps: as for teens drinking/and smoking weed, that is an entirly different topic. the khat industry is an international business, and would/should concern governments/law ect.

    What if?

^^That's opening a whole can of worms which i am not inclined to do. i understand your point of view, but in my view the dead body is not usless, and as shown from the sunnah of nabi scw it makes a great deal of difference and carries an important signficance on how the body is treated from the moment of death till burial. But as ive said its a whole another debate.

My friend a convert whom all his family is non-muslim actually carries his will in his pocket, and register with the masjid, just in case since life can be gone in a split second. Death is a reminder to the living as the dead are already gone, the Prophet scw said remember it often as it spoils life and makes u think.
  17. Get well soon Insha-Allah, i wish him and his family the best.
  18. ^^^hahahahaha, thats funny man. ps: i dont think mali/indos beat each other in community meetings, if u from Ohio/MN then u know what i mean about the reer miyi, caqli daaro somalis. working w/ them is no good, but as a muslim do what u can to help others. other muslims are more civilized, and these people whom are overseas are susposed to be the best and brightest yet....as ive said i hate to sound sound very pessismitic/negative but its true. SK i like ur list, but #2 ull be killing more then half the population. I would say Ban Khat as well, but a more feasable punishment. Institutions need to be built 1st dont u think. And this interesting map, as long as this divide exists, there will be no Qaran but Qabil sxb

  20. war naga dah. Aside from the jokes, the Clinton legacy, is a great one, a proven one. may it be a repeat in 08 IA. Vote for experience saxibyal. take care salams
  21. ^^Whats the Uzair story? saxib are u telling me somalis dont do your head in? these crazy sons of mothers....where do u c other muslims that beat each other in community meetings? in weddings? old ladies with jilbabs ninyahow. in parties they spent money to go to? and u wonder why their country is screwed? I hate to sound like peacenow and the like, but somalis are uncivilized ppl and will take decades to civilize them and cleanse them of their destructive habits. mida kale i am right when i say u can only help others, when u help urself 1ST thus become RICH ect. I think this is nonetheless an important intellectual topic and deserves the rightful responses. Pardon to topic starter. salams

  23. Having Obama as "president" could actually be worse for minorities, u never know. Remember what he said about pakistan. i think he is a good guy and i like him, but the establishment would have the likes of him for lunch. I like Hilary for President, she is the establishment and has strong proven politically history. SeekK that sort of thinking is never good sxb, its self-defeating. America is the land of opportunity. Get pro-active, if u can vote don't be lazy and vote everyone. this is my first election, as u can c i am bit excited. And I support Hilary's Campaign, Insha-Allah she will win.
  24. ^^^Hope not, no offense to Obama i like em and what he represents, history but disagree w/ his politics in particular foreign policy. he is too easily influenced and wants to look tough. Better for vice-president take a back seat to Hilary, the most experienced canadite who deserves the parties nomination and she too represents a first in American political history. She proved herself politically and her policies and views are excellent. Vote for the best: Hilary for President salams
  25. Sooner or later most of us will have to return back home insha ALLAH. I have no interest in returning (never been actually) living in that effed up country Somalia, are u kidding me? That country will be screwed for another 100 years lol. And its ppl are screwed high on khat lol. Dude get over somalia, forget somalia. there are too many somali wanabe polticans not enough indians as they say. These cats (somalis) can't even agree overseas and get into fights whereever they gather, war dadkan dalqalto walan ha naga taaga crazy mothers. I pray for u somalia, but good luck to u with these ppl as your populace. focus on making it big in the states or England. millions and millions of opportunities, make urself a rich man then can u help others. My words of wisdom. I do think your topic deserves a more serious look and requires serious answers. good luck in getting them or more important implementing them on the ground. salams
