In the end I decided to head for the door and be on my merry way. Thank God for that . I am very sad to hear this ibtisam! i am actually a charming and a nice guy!, it disappoints me greatly that people are intimidated by my over-the-top self opinionated bile. if this is the case, i might just have to mute my reactions. 5. Originally posted by NGONGE: ^^ I gave up on going to such events years ago. Anyway, ask him what took place and what resolutions they came up with. Will there be any results or was it simply one of those endless 'awareness' talks? Oxford House has been staging such nonsense for aeons. NGONGE, the event was very productive, contrary to your negative perceptions. We discussed many issues and invited a number of prominent speakers. These included Dr. Martin Irwin and Prof. Iqbal Jhazbhay from South Africa. Overall the event was productive but I have to agree with you on the fact there are too many events and little resolutions. I have been to so many events, its really becoming repetitive. Most talk about the same old things and provide little or no solution to the problems facing our community. Despite these short coming NGONGE, I would like to advise you that apathy is the worst of form of anger. If you become disillusioned with the way things are done, take the initiative and do something, rather than standing on the sidelines and coming up with a tirade of self-opinionated bile. We don’t want to hear it! Marc

If i do see NGONGE, I will personally make sure that he is escorted from the event!, we dont need the likes of him and his tirades of self-opinated bile.

  12. The current and regular portrayals of our country are the usual reworking of Eurocentric description, the ‘Horn’ full of marauding gunmen and gaunt children. So how can we pressure the media, and sadly the Diaspora, that this is quite truly bogus? Another challenge facing us is the need to create a student pressure group, which would give us immediate control over representing Somali affairs concerning the youth in Education, Family and Crime. Thus enabling us to assemble and construct a truly representative platform. Once more, this Student Union body aims to work as a regional and national umbrella group crossing over all Universities. The assembling of an active Somali Society group will address the needs and demands of an ever growing and vibrant community. 18. Just as LZG has pointed to in earlier posts, there seems to be alot of 'hatred' towards me. i have been called all sorts of names but i dont know why! I am not surprised larkiin, somalis fear something they dont understand! i am not saying i am unique, though i do qualify, but i am like the rest of you deep down. lets bury the hatchet and start again. lets work together and resolve our difference however different they maybe. your brother, Marc

  21. It appears as though all those who have responded to this thread are some how trying to patronise me! I don’t need that! According to reliable sources, most of you are some how Euro-trash. Your arguments, however patronising are not objective and are instead based on emotions. This renders me to dismiss your arguments as being purely based on emotional sentiments! There are many good euro-trash people out there! there are good people within every community! Marc
  22. MS Productions proudly presents: Somali ''Euro-trash'' People http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xsIuQgOqKE Synopsis: the 2001 census figures for Somali-born London inhabitants are less than half the figure estimated in two recent studies. In recent years the number of Somalis in the UK has been increased significantly by an unknown number of Somali refugees who have migrated to the UK as secondary migrants from other European countries, most notably Holland, Germany and Sweden, settling in cities with an already established Somali population. Source: Taken with permission from Marc Blog for channel 4: these people have come to the UK with a negative way of life, infecting us with their social ills and liberal way of life. Its time they left the UK and went back to the mainland. Their negative way of life is severly destroying the social fabric of the somali community in london. Marc
