    not all remitances sent to somalia is used to fund warlords. people who live in somalia largely depend on money sent from abroad to survive. not only does it benefit the people, but also the local economy.

    how is it a handout, when people dont have a functioning goverment and jobs?

    the welfare system in the U.S and Europe..now thats a handout.

    i saw it when they had a screening in MN...you could say it was worth $15. i did have a new digital camera in my purse, so i asked the director to old on to it for me.. he ended up trusting me to take my camera with me...ofcousre i dont support illegal recording ...)

    ok guys ..this was an isolated incident and has nothing to do with the management of the building or the people who live there.keep your Criticism to yourselves.2 people got drunk and 1 was unfortunately raped( or should i say allegedly)...

    FYI Faraxbrown..there is no such building by the name of MCknight in St.paul..MCKnight is a rd and the apts where the incident took place is Afton View..says who its the "shittiest" building in St.paul? its just like any other public housing building..whether its in the cities or the suburbs of st.lous park.

     

    Nephthys..who r u to judge a group of people(somali) and the management of their building..how on earth do u know if they r poor and illitrate..and do u know the manager of this building perosnally to call him illiterate? wow you have given the word judgmental a whole new meaning.

    c mon guys.. after 6 pages u all r still talking about this incident..give it a rest. let the courts deal with it.

    i work in a hospital and have seen few people who have had gallstones removed. if the stones are small enough, they will try to dissolve them so that they pass can when u urinate...another option is surgery..mostly its a same day surgery where u get to home the same day. the Dr cuts a small hole for instruments to go through and dissolves the stones...its a less invasive procedure.

    i believe the name of the movie is HUM(1991). it was a major hit and THE SONG JUMMA CHUMMA was very popular at the time. they r many good indian movies that came out since BLACK was released. u should go check out the movie rental stores on Central Avenue...)

    OMG..thats all i can say righ now... thank god my family and i r doing well.. and everyone else that i know.. i was driving on that bridge the night before and remember promising myself never to drive on it again.. there was construction everywhere and the lines were reduced to 2.

    our prayers r with the victims.. missing and dead.

    for me it hasnt sank in yet..its like a scene from an action film but only this time its real.
