Why else do you think they're starting to gobble up all these powerful western institutions! In fact, with the recent American credit crunch and the problems it caused to several high profile banks, it was the large Arab institutions that bailed them out and loaned them billions of dollars or bought huge (sometimes controlling) shares in them. Sooner or later, these newly acquired muscles in the global financial world will start to pay dividend (and I'm not talking monetary dividend either).
