  1. ^^ a little Faroole in the making, aren't you? The media's job is not to make a judgment. It is to report the news as it sees fit. The BBC broadcasts the videos of Osama Bin Laden without worrying about his recruitment drives. It is the only way to show(prove) fairness. Wax fahan.
  2. I hereby declare that I like Qardho and want it twinned with my own tuulo of JQ. Viva Qardho.
  3. ^^ Once you change a defence's mentality every cross becomes confusing. Wax fahan. Same tactics as Rafa? Why is that though? I thought you blamed Rafa for everything, what now? P.S. Lucas did not have a stinker. He had a very good game. It's the 'wingers' and the attack players who had a real stinker.
  4. ^^ 24 passes when the opposing team have already given up. Naga daa dee. There goes Norf again. Lucas actually played better than Poulson and tried to pass the ball forward whenever he got it. He was let down by the lack of movement upfront and the way Brum defended. The new guy looked good when he came on (but then again, so did Aqui in pre season). It would be really sad if Rubbish Roy drops Lucas and keeps Poulson on. At any rate, the team played with Rafa's formation but not his tactics (zonal marking would have prevented Brum from having all those chances). I doubt that Roy will last a full season if he carries on playing (and talking) in this way. P.S. Chelsea still have it easy and United v Everton was a great game.
  5. Cabdi: Hello! Warya Cali, lacgtaan kuu so diray ma heshay? Cali: Hello! Haa Cabdi, lacgta waan helay. Eeen..eeen..can you call me back in five minutes, Sheikh Sharif is on the radio. Cabdi: Sheikh Sharif? Oo maxa dhacay? Cali: War saxaafadeed. Cabdi: Ok. I'll call you back in five. I hope he's got good news. Five minutes later... Cabdi: Hello! Haye Cali, madaxweenaha muxu yiri? Cali: Wuxuu yiri, ciid mubaarak! Cabdi: Muxu kale oo yedhi? Cali: Waxba! Ciid Mubaraak iyo dagaal banu ku jirna. Cabdi: Yaaa? Cali: Waa intaa uun Cabdi: intaa ayaayday ba oran karta, nooh. Ma marko barya dhan aamusnaa oo dadka dhinac walba laga duqeenayay ayuu ciid mubarak la so yimid? NAGA DAAAYAAAAAAA!
  6. With all his mistakes Mr Yusuf still remains head and shoulders above those that replaced him in his last two jobs. I'm tempted to record my own eid greeting to him and the Somali people.
  7. Chelsea look good but they had an easy start to the season and have not come across any of the hard teams yet (we wait and see if they keep it up). United looked in control for vast parts of that game but got done with a sucker punch (hope there are plenty of those to come). Arsenal looked brilliant against a (usually) difficult Bolton team. I wouldn't write them off just yet (though the defence is still as dodgy as ever). Spurs had an off day but Van Der Vart seems to fit in perfectly (had a good first half). City should win the league with the team they have but they wont. Liverpool play tomorrow and should they win will only be three points behind Arsenal. But I'm still not convinced about Hodgson.
  8. ^^ Good luck. It's not a day for going out (try to control your road rage, you fish).
  9. ^^ I wonder if Marx will ever return again. Ahem...ahem..it's EID.
  10. KK, now say salaam. Originally posted by NGONGE: Talking of arguments, I started an argument with someone for no reason at all the other day. Was sitting in a coffee shop with a group of people when some guy (that I don't know) walked in, looked down at me (for no reason at all) and then looked away, raised his hand lazily towards us and said "Wa la idin salaamay" then sat down at an adjoining table breathing heavily from his nose and looking like an annoyed child that was forced to eat his greens. The rest answered his greeting with the usual automatic reply but I couldn't help feeling vexed at his haughty attitude. So I said: Me: Yaa na salaamay? Him (looking surprised): Yaa? Me: Wa la idin salaamay ayaad tedhi, dee ya na salaamay? Him: Dee aniga! Me: Adiga iyo? Him: Yaa? Me (taking a deep breath and raising my voice as if talking to a deaf person): Waxan ku edhi, adiga iyo? Him: Eeen, dee aniga kaliya. Adigu dadka salaanta kama qaadid miya? Me: Maya waan ka qaada, lakin waa marka ay toos ii salaaman. Him (getting irritated and talking to the crowd): Arr waxan muxuu ka hadlayaa? Me: Miyaad cadhooteen? Him: Eeen..Yaa? Aniga iyo? Me: Waa soaashaan marki ku waydiiyaay! Him: War f#**# Off! Me: Ahahaha..war ninko wuu cadhoodhay. Bes, bes, sorry saaxib. Jin baa igu jira oo dadka igu dira. Na saamax, saaxib. Salaanta na, waan kaa qaadnay. Him: #@&**#@ Of course, I spent the next ten minutes arguing with my companions about this. They were on his side and believed I was a sensitive Arab for taking offence at his attitude and deliberately choosing to irritate him. We parted with the agreement that from now on, nafar nafar ban salaanta ka qaada, kooxaha na salaan kama qaadayo hadaanan wada arag.
  11. ^^ Gaasho ku sakhraamay. "Wa la idin salaamay" is not a salaam at all.
  12. Wataaaa! Salaantada iska hayso.
  13. ^^ Dee HIM kapital letters ku qor ama bald ka dhig. Haa, I thought his justification was more than acceptable. It's an issue of semantics and language (intentions are not my job or yours - wax fahan). يعطيك من طرف اللسان حلاوة ويروغ منك كما يروغ الثعلب. car qabo.
  14. Originally posted by Maaddeey: Ace, in your opinion there's nothing in between to sing along GUULWADOOW SIYAAD & to discredit all he did, his nationalistic attribute?. NGONGE, cheap shot! try again, by the way whats ur final verdict of him ?, his justification acceptable to you?. I know it was a cheap shot but I never any shots pass me dee. Opinion of who, Ace or MSB? I like Ace and I didn't like MSB. Ace didn't do much for SOL but MSB did a lot for Somalia then undid it again.
  15. ^^ What macmacaan? She can only do that if she's a Turk. I can just picture Val dressed to the nines and visiting all her Somali relatives today. Window curtains twitch as they see her approaching but no doors open when she knocks. Now, she's sitting on her own in an empty park and swaying back and forth on a swing as she absently tries to dislodge a dead wasp from her hair. The chain breaks and Val crashes into a puddle....
  16. Pakistan will celebrate Eid on Saturday. I read it somewhere or other.
  17. ^^ It's a joke, dear, a joke.
  18. Heh@Ibti being over 30. And all along I was thinking that grey moustache was only face cream.
  19. ^^ I hear that Pakistan will celebrate Eid on Saturday. Being a part time Shababi, does that mean you will too?
