^^ Waad iska hadasha adeer! (who are these "many" and do you have proof of their existance?). Behave ban ku idhi. Fiqi, Admit what, saaxib? The protest in SL are all (very obviously) organised by the government (remember, this is the same government that arrested the protesting journalists because they had no permits). The rest of what you're arguing is xamaasada Somalida lagu yiqeen, when all is said and done I see nothing different here, saaxib. Flash in the pan responses and actions still do not tell us anything or change the actual issues. Sheekado 'kun' fa 'yakoon' maaha dee..the Khaatumo skeleton needs meat. Wax fahan.

^^^ Naaah. As the chant goes: you only sing when you're winning. Carroll is a very good player. I insist on that point.

^^ What unity and what ultra nationalists? Where exactly do you get such ideas from and why are you trying to muddy the already murky water with all these made concepts? Behave dee.

Carafaat, I can't see a deal between Khaatumo and SL taking place, saaxib. The situation is tense and the entire Khaatumo project rests on the idea that they are opposed to SL. No Khaatumo president worth his salt could just turn around and tell Khadar & Co that he decided to work with SL. Wax fahan.

^^ You're as fickle as Norf, Bob. Welcome back by the way.

xiinfaniin;776540 wrote: I would've taken NGONGE's point quite seriously had he shown similar cynicism toward the notion of Somaliland as a independent region or very close to achieving recognition. I used to, barigaad beenta ii sheegi jirteen adiga iyou Baashe (remember all that guff about it being an H thing and that the H people will never break up, etc?). Dee hadaba iga daa ninyaho.. Khadar, when LA was in the hands of PL I did not believe Somaliland had any chance of recognition (and unlike kuwaan beenta sheega, my words are there for anyone that wants to do a search). However, when LA came back to Somaliland, I (with justification) began to believe that Somaliland is going to work after all. Now don't take offence or consider it an insult (or provocation) but I still believe SL is going to work. I do because despite all your protestations about small numbers of sellouts from your clan and all your wishful arguments about the clan being fully united, I still see that LA is in the hands of SL and still know (as you do) that some sections of the SSC clan are with SL (a miniorty they may be but they still leave a question mark). When I say it's a clan meeting that's what I mean. After all, I knew and you did that the outcome of the meeting was going to go along those lines (declaration of state, etc). In addition, I have already foreseen and spoke about such an outcome in that SSC Predicament thread. Besides, to declare a state these days is the easist thing possible (look at the comedy that is Awdal State). So, like I said in that other thread of mine, the chocies for Khaatumo are still the same: 1- All out war with SL 2- A miracle that will allow them to actually run and fund a functioning state 3- A deal with the Imam I can't see the first taking place becuase I don't think either side is really ready for an all out war (skirmshes and little raids, maybe). I also can't see the second one taking place without the cooperation of Khaatumo's three neighbours. I, however, can see a deal with the Imam where he uses Khaatumo to fortify his federal arguments. Now the xaasid part: Will the President and two VPs of Khaatumo stay in the agreement long enough?

xiinfaniin;776485 wrote: ^^Do you really think what is taking place in Taleex is a mere clan gathering, and not a political one? All Somali clans are political, saaxib. Why are you splitting hairs? It is still simply a meeting dee. Still, adigu naftaad inoo keentay for the past two weeks about changing realities and other wishful arguments. Bal tell me what does this meeting change TODAY and why is it any different to the previous meetings/resolutions? Of course, I fully accept and realise that this may indeed be THE Khaatumo that finally sorts the SSC clan out once and for all but I can't expect it to happen just because they had a meeting and declared a state (you, as is your habit, do). (I don't talk out of xaasidnimo, I talk from recent history).

^^ When those few individuals thought up of the idea of SL and even after the conference to set up SL, the state was nothing but a plan on paper back then two, saaxib. There is no intellectual dishonesty here. Waxba ha cadhoon and do not look for insults where none exist. What took place in Taleex (as I said before and still say now) is, for now, nothing but a meeting of the clan. Adigo, you can spend your time being angry and going about clannish dogma & what not, anna I just want to understand and speculate on what happens next. So lets look at what we have here: - SL is fighting yoru ciyal xaafad in Buuhoodle (and I'm happy to concede that our army has been defeated and destroyed by them, if it makes you happy). - LA is still under the control of SL - Those of your clan that are on the SL side are STILL on the SL side (apart from the 14 that ran away with a few cars and the rumour about the Widhwidh lot) - Khaatumo does not yet have any of the usual departments that any state would have yet it decided to have THREE vice presidents! - PL has not showed its hand yet (other than the empty hanjabaad to SL). - Khaatumo is a noble idea that the SSC people have devised and hope to see come to life (but it hasn't YET). - Will Khaatumo come to life and will the people that used to be with SL, PL, SL again, PL again, the Boocame Khasuusi and now Khaatumo finally have their Khaatumo? - Hmmmm!

^^ What next, you'll ask me to get a life? Warya, I already told you that if you wish to discuss the issues posted here you need to first bring someone to vouch that you are actually a real person, sound of mind and without multiple accounts. I am not in the habit of talking to scripts (all 16K posts of mine). Now soco oo ha ii so noqon adoon qof kaa weyn wataa. Yalla..

If you have to ask such a silly question, it must be first year at nursery that you compeleted and your poor man is still at the child minders! (stuff and nonsense).
-
^^ Sorry, I can't interact with you unless you bring three trusted SOL members who can verify that you are a real person who is not using more than one account. Failing that, the SSC resident caaqil must vouch for you. For now, sit back and let me engage the names I recognise.

^^ I was planning to say something about the Darwishland (has the name changed again? ) but then realised there was nothing new that I could say here. After all, both this 'new' state and the Awdal one are states on paper only (and probably not even that yet, in the case of K state). This article rehashes old tired arguments and bases all its conclusions on a mere wish. I still say lets wait and see what K State does and how it hopes to run itself before talking about the end and what not. But, if you're in the mood for an argument, I am game.

PM Abdiweli meets Awdal State of Somalia President Rashid Aw Nur Hersi
NGONGE replied to Shinbir Majabe's topic in Politics
To Whom It May Concern We will be of organising a party in London that celebrates the establishment of Burco Republic. All we need is the hotel fee, some money for balloons & decorations and lots of barees for the guests we're going to invite. We have made some phone calls and also set up a poll on Facebook. The response has been very favourable and we've already got ten people supporting this project (incidentally, that's the exact number we need to form a government). We have instructed wasiirka arimaha dibbeda (NORF) to arrange a meeting with the TFG PM to discuss matters of mutual concern and have also sent out letters to all the international bodies informing them that all aid monies should from now on be sent to our Burco Republic accounts. We have also issued a decree pardoning all Burcaawis working for the Somali & SL governments (including Mr Siilaanyo) and inviting them back to work towards building and improving the livelyhood of their homelands. The pardon is valid for only three weeks. In addition, we have instructed our constitutional affairs minister to conduct a feasability study as to the best course of action for our newly formed state and the early signs seem to indicate the need to tender our support/loyalty to the highest bidder (but not PL). Pictures of the party and our imminent meeting with PM Cabdulwali will be circulated to the media as soon as each event is concluded. Wa billahi al tawfiiq His royal highness, ameer al mo'meneen, mudane NGONGE AL BURCAAWI -
I know Wiki is supposed to be on strike today but is LST slowing the site today in support mise we are part of Wiki now? Maaddeey, waa lago salaamay. (Salaam Malika).

A PL Petroluem Company will be set up (or is set up already). The board of directors is almost certain to include the current PL president and, by the pictures posted here yesterday, I bet the previous president too. Like other 'oil producing' countries in Africa & Middle East, the president & the board will have the final say on where and what the proceeds go. As for Somalia; have you not been paying attention, adeer? Federalism nooh!
-
^^ In that case, I'll do a Siilaanyo and call an extraordinary session of both SOL's houses (kii coqaasha iyo kii ciyaalka) to give my verdict, opinion and thoughts on this unending saga. It'll be sometime tomorrow (which should also hlep me glean the latest from the talking heads in my local branch of SL).

So, does this conclude the conference or are there more details to be ironed out?

^^ Kulmiye TV hadii la sameyo so qoladii Somaliland.org samaysay ma maamulayso? Arr kuwa nagada..hadowtay nago walayaan: Siilaanyo sonkorta ku kacday ama Siilaanyo Kaluun iyo barees ayuu ku qadiiyay! Aax aniga shaqadaa hadii la isiin laha..

Xaaji Xunjuf;775397 wrote: Carafaat hctv is is siding with some of the parties in Somaliland they are not really impartial so i don't think they will be free any time soon. As for the Buhoodle offensive Somaliland does have the right to protect its citizens from rebels high on narcotics. It's a private TV station, Xaaji. They can support whatever party they want. If that's the only accusation Kulmiye has then Kulmiye is a foolish party, saaxib. Waa inay iyaga na private TV station samaystan.

Warya LST, if you can merge threads why didn't you do all of this earlier and save us from dancing? (Of course, as I told Duke all those years ago, I am extra happy that the drilling has began. Lets just hope the Imam does not spoil things).
