  1. ^^ Not sure what the "ahem" is supposed to mean there, Mooge. Give credit where it's due, saaxib. Farmaajo had some passion in his speech and did not just read from a paper like Sharif and your candadite. Of course, none of this will matter anyway (Samatar was better than everyone but I doubt he'll win).

Somalia's second republic shall rise ##..fools rush in where wise men never go...## Waxaad iiga sheekiisa Faroole wuxu qoray, saaxib....
  3. He sounds like a good man who is totally out of his depth there. He got the poem wrong in words and attribution (it was Abu Al Qaasim Al Shaabi not Axmad Showqi). As for bringing his children back to Somalia if elected president, I think EVERY Somali would do that had they been promised the president's job. The fools sitting in that whole, as ever, applauded the sentiment rather than what it actually says! It's obvious what job will be suited to this man's skills.
  4. It was a better speach than both Sharif's and Cabdulwali's (though he needs to work on his skills a little). By the way, why did Cabdulwali have to suffer all those guys trying to adjust his microphone while he read his one? Were they eager Puntlanders or cheeky members of his opposition?
  5. Like a wadaad getecrashing a wedding, the Imam is reminding Somalis of the ugly reality when all they want to do is celebrate and sing!
  6. ^^ When has Al Shabab ever put up a fight when the going really got tough? When bombs start raining at them from the sea, land and sky they'll run again (or was it strategically retreat?).
  7. ^^ Cabdulwali, Farmaajo and Samatar are all qualified men (not for the Somali presidancy perhaps but they're qualified nontheless). Marka naga daaya all this rubbish about dodgy thesis, cut & paste papers or whatever useless mud you choose to throw at these men. Criticise their ideas and policies if you can.
  8. Is this the same as with the London Conference when the AMISOM guys amazingly took over Afgooye on the eve of the conference? Is Kismaayo AMISOM's gift to the new Somali president? If this is the case, I expect the city to fall by Sunday evening.
  9. ^^ A&T, I like Duke too and this is why I'm going to switch on you here and help him out a little. When you say that Mrs Cabdulwali is the one who wears the trousers, why not apply the same logic to all those women MPs? After all, they managed to get elected for the jobs and not their men, Maybe they too wear the trousers in their households.

  11. ^^ I agree with your sentiment but never your delivery ninyaho. Sometimes, waxaad tahay geel jire qalin sita!

He has a point though. The one at home will have an influence one way or another. In the same way Cabdulwali's wife seems to have a strong say in his political actions (she even seems to have co-wrote all his books and papers with him).
  13. ^^ Malika, I was talking about you going to live there for good. Won't happen dee. CL, Ibti and Alpha are going to come back sooner or later.
  14. ^^ Xariif, when did you convince sister Cudbi to become a Somali MP?
  15. ^^ It wont happen dee. Malika is too "ingrees".
  16. ^^ M25 hadaad dhaaftid, call me Susan. Morning all. Good luck on whatever this day entails, Juxa.
  17. ^^ If it were about getting my information from SOL, I would believe Cabdulwali would win hands down, saaxib. I am not in contact with "tolka" to see their view on this issue, nor would I take the views of most Somalis seriously anyway. As for the new "clean" MPs, war so Somali maaha? Naga daa dee or else, that Samatar guy is going to win.
  18. ^^ I praise Cabdulwali's efforts because they're there for me to see, saaxib. But I don't think he's got a chance in hell. It'll be another stitch up.
  19. ^^ It doesn't work that way, Haatu. It's A against B. War even Maaddeey with his boys getting bombarded by Farax's soldiers made a choice. Marka, make a choice and stop wasting time.

  21. Heh@Norf..they've got you exactly where they want you.

The three top parties winning the majority of the vote will become the official parties for the next ten years. Or at least that's the idea. The problem might come from individuals winning seats for other parties yet not being memebers of the three parties that eventually get to stay. It looks like they'll either serve one term or choose to join one of the three winners.
