  1. loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool sis u made my day, bless u dat is sooooooooooooooooo funny and so true so of them. loooooooool salamz
  2. salamz looooooooool, people in SOL are barking mad; how many differentings are being discussed here: 1) being FAT and somali women 2) somaliland FLAG 3) Friday 13th and all da other things i can't be asked to write: hello!!! anyway i'll just answer 1) Modesty; you don't need to diet, wid all dem things, tuna etc. wat you should do is; eat when ur hungry, but only eat a couple of handful's (if u have big hands use 3fingures) leave space for water and breathing in ur stomach, so dats 1/3 food, 1/3 water, 1/3 breathing space. and the don't eat again unless ur hungry. what u can also do is fast Mondays and Thursdays (u loose weigh and u can reward) or more days if u are obese. oh and say bismilah before u eat and alhumduliah when u finish.... and give saadaqa also a little walking and being busy does not hurt, don't always take a form of transport. and if u live in da arab countries, get ur own shopping and stop the use of servants or khadam as u call it. all that things that the kufar tell u, 5fruits, 5vegs, this and dat does not work, because u don't need all that food. excessive eating makes u unhealthy, lazy and it kills the heart as u spend all your time worrying about food, wat to buy, wat to cook, when to serve, clean, den cook (u get da picture) and ur whole day goes like that, by the way don't mock the suggestions i made, its from narrations of the prophet, who taught us everything we need to know. TRY It, IT WORKS: SALAMZ
  3. salamz; loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool, hehehehe; , adika aaya yabia, gosh, u real made me laugh, call me mad call me knew, but this is the women’s section, i real don't see why you come to this section (unless ur a feminine man) , i wonder what u guys would've talked about if there was a man's section (u probably won't go there coz u don't wanna be wid all men) and they don't always talk about men , some of them think its a problem page and do, but hey its a free world. anyway what would u suggest they talk about (ur probably thinking i no all about me as i am one, TALK ABOUT WOMEN damn!! salamz
  4. salam aaah, dat is so (no words to describe it) alhumdilahilah; allah guides whom so ever he wishs to guide.. dis thread must only be for me and u, aint no one else saying anything. lol come on ppl, don't be shy, we won't bite... salamz
  5. salamz lol i did hibo; she did't wanna no pluz i did't say anything dat wz not true, and making faces is a bit childish, but den again i'm nearly retired so everything seems childish to me! anyhow no hard feelings, i wish her well. peace; out
  6. you no its really funny, but when people think of jihabs (not in the sense we know it, but the little head scraf, they thinks its all drak and black, all they have to do is watch TV (hajj) or arbic tv if you have and you see pretty and design islamic wear. somalis are the funniest ppl on earth, i know some sisters that wear a scraf when they have bad hair day  or when its raining~!! and the ones who wear it because people expect them to wear it (family) at least do it because allah told u to do (instead of doing it to shut hooyo up) its nice to do something out of ur own free will. hibo next time a i see a pretty look somalian sis wid bright coloured scraf i'll just assume it's u, lol mind u lahore is bit far salamz
  7. lol. hibo, bless u little soul; and ppl don't get it twisted, it does not mean we don't care about how look, we just look after our self in private. salamz
  8. salamz: wow i the hostility, what does a somaliland flag have to do with them telling u to fear allah. where did u leave ur head, when u find it use it! i said IF you were!! maybe u guys should read things first, before replying; damn gurl.....u do have things twisted, maybe u are too young after all, i sense childishness in you.... take a chill bill, and it aint my loos u did't read the rest of my reply, u should've mind u, i dismissed u little self (but since u aint reading dis either u won't no) anyhow, i think u missed the point of posting; (its so people comment according to their view, which u may or may not like) salamz
  9. auxcod i agree. somali guys try to act like dey are big ppl with no emotions; funny to see one wid emotions. and people it does't really matter if you think its fake or not, just tell her to do! dats what she asked or don't answer, read another thread. Gosh somalis have to comment on everything.. lexus: hey dere is no such a thing as too young. if you were in somalia she would be married wid 4kids. anyway i think you should just ignore it, he'll get over it, he is in love more wid da actual idea of being in love (if u get wat i mean) further what do u want from this realtionship, fun games, good friend; these are the wrong reasons. if you wanna get to know someone for marriage puropose, tell him to go and ask ur dad for permission (no hiden, under cover business) if you want a blessed relationship then do it the Islamic way following the shariac and sunnah; read the Quest for mercy and love by jibrial something (i'll get back to u on dat one) if you don't wanna settle down den you have no reason to talk to him or any other guy. use your time gaing knowledeg about islam and doing other useful thinks. in going about a realtionship in a unislamic manner (going out for ages den, trying to get to know them and all, then after u agree everything u tell da family) by then you have diprived ur selfs of allah's blessings. inshallah i wish u well. p.s. he sounds much older, don't let him twist u about. what allah had ordained for u will happen, so put ur trust in him. salamz
  10. salam all: sahal you have to change ur confrontational ways, ur tone is harsh, and is not the one you should use when giving dacwa or correcting someone one, its too defensive. i don't no personally what goes no SOL, i just jumped on the wagon, so if what you say is true and salaf dawac makes a habit of attacking a labelling ulum's then the way to approach the matter is not to follow him to every thread and discredit him, but speak to him in private, show him why he is wrong. i do agree with you, that there is no such a thing as my shirk is always right or my madhab is always right and i won't follow no other, all the four main imama's all said in their own ways that if you find evidence for matters that they have ruled on which contradicts their rulings then follow hat you found in the evidence and not their rulings, because they were humans, and humans are not free of human error. i think if people want to learn from each other, you have to be open minded and aware that there are different translations and rulings concerning each issue which is not in the QUran or there is no clear ruling on it. may allah guide us all, and forgive us for our sins; amen. salamz ppl
  11. lol sorry viking bother, my bad i assumed frm da way ur were talking...any how sorry. glad to sort dat out salamz
  12. lol sorry viking bother, my bad i assumed frm da way ur were talking...any how sorry. glad to sort dat out salamz
  13. salam words of wisdom enchantment; you concluded it well sis. may allah reward u, guide u and protect u from evils with ur self and evil of others. amen. salamz
  14. salamz all An insightful and personal account of why a Western teenage girl would reject the 'wonders' of fashion, and want to cover herself in the hijab (veil). I probably do not fit into the preconceived notion of a “rebelâ€. I have no visible tattoos and minimal piercing. I do not possess a leather jacket. In fact, when most people look at me, their first thought usually is something along the lines of “oppressed femaleâ€. The brave individuals who have mustered the courage to ask me about the way I dress usually have questions like: “Do your parents make you wear that?†or “Don’t you find that really unfair?†A while back, a couple of girls in Montreal were kicked out of school for dressing like I do. It seems strange that a little piece of cloth would make for such a controversy. Perhaps the fear is that I am harboring an Uzi machine gun underneath it! Of course, the issue at hand is more than a mere piece of cloth. I am a Muslim woman who, like millions of other Muslim women across the globe, chooses to wear a hijab. And the concept of the hijab, contrary to popular opinion, is actually one of the most fundamental aspects of female empowerment. When I cover myself, I make it virtually impossible for people to judge me according to the way I look. I cannot be categorized because of my attractiveness or lack thereof. Compare this to life in today’s society: We are constantly sizing one another up on the basis of our clothing, jewelry, hair and makeup. What kind of depth can there be in a world like this? Yes, I have a body, a physical manifestation upon this Earth. But it is the vessel of an intelligent mind and a strong spirit. It is not for the beholder to leer at or to use in advertisements to sell everything from beer to cars. Because of the superficiality of the world in which we live, external appearances are so stressed that the value of the individual counts for almost nothing. It is a myth that women in today’s society are liberated. What kind of freedom can there be when a woman cannot walk down the street without every aspect of her physical self being “checked outâ€? When I wear the hijab I feel safe from all of this. I can rest assured that no one is looking at me and making assumptions about my character from the length of my skirt. There is a barrier between me and those who would exploit me. I am first and foremost a human being, one of the saddest truths of our time is the question of the beauty myth and female self-image. Reading popular teenage magazines, you can instantly find out what kind of body image is “in†or “out†. And if you have the “wrong†body type, well, then, you’re just going to change it, aren’t you? After all, there is no way you can be overweight and still be beautiful. Look at any advertisement. Is a woman being used to sell the product? How old is she? How attractive is she? What is she wearing? More often than not, that woman will be no older than her early 20s, taller, slimmer, and more attractive than average, and dressed in skimpy clothing. Why do we allow ourselves to be manipulated like this? Whether the 90s woman wishes to believe it or not, she is being forced into a mould. She is being coerced into selling herself, into compromising herself. This is why we have 13-year-old girls sticking their fingers down their throats to vomit and overweight adolescents hanging themselves. When people ask me if I feel oppressed, I can honestly say no. I made this decision of my own free will. I like the fact that I am taking control of the way other people perceive me. I enjoy the fact that I don’t give anyone anything to look at and that I have released myself from the bondage of the swinging pendulum of the fashion industry and other institutions that exploit females. My body is my own business. Nobody can tell me how I should look or whether or not I am beautiful. I know that there is more to me than that. I am also able to say no comfortably when people ask me if I feel as if my sexuality is being repressed. I have taken control of my sexuality. I am thankful I will never have to suffer the fate of trying to lose / gain weight or trying to find the exact lipstick shade that will go with my skin color. I have made choices about what my priorities are and these are not among them. So next time you see me, don’t look at me sympathetically. I am not under duress or a male-worshiping female captive from those barbarous Arab deserts. I’ve been liberated! ....... whats the funniest thing that someone asked you about covering up.... for those who do not...... what is stoping you if ur a guy......what do u think of hijab salamz
  15. salamz ppl; May Allah reward you for ur kind reminder, one should be always careful about whom he takes his knowledge from, and question the evidence they have used to come to that decision. from ur comment from another thread, giving dawac is never a waste of time, unless by doing it you take someone further away from islam, never give up on people, allah my turn their heart and they may die as better people them me. so inshallah do your best to share your knowledge, it may benefit u on a day when nothing else benefits you, and make duca for people; have hope and do not despair. no one can misguide those that allah guides and non can guide those that are misguided. may allah give us knowledge and guide us in the correct path. amen salamz
  16. Salam all i just wanted to share this with people who have a funny uderstanding of what it is termed; AL WAhhabiyya or Salafiyah; their creed is to hold fast to the Quran and the sunnah, to follow the foot steps of the prophet and those of his rightly guided successors; to believe and PRactice what was propounded by the virtuous predecessors and the Imams of learning and guidence, WHO WERE CAPABLE TO ISSUE RELIGIOUS INJUNCTION CONCERNING THE KNOWLEDGE OF ALLAH, his attributes of perfection and dignity as shown in the QUran and authentic traditions accepted by the companions. they believe them, withou ALTERATION, PERSONIFICATION, EXAMPLIFYING OR NEGATION OF such attributes. they stick to the way of sucessors and their follwers from amog the people learning, faith and piety. they believ the foundation of worship (the shahada) which is the root to aquire knowledge, acknowledgement and PRACTICE. this was the foundation of the Saudi regim and the view which is held by the scholars of Saudi. this is what SHIK MUHAMMED BEN ABDUL WAHHAB, believed and invited others to believe; anyone who accredits to him anything contrary to it, does not lie but commites a great sin and claims what is totally unfounded, they will no doubt receive what allah has promised to all fabricators of lies. Islam is perfect and complete by itself, it does not need any addition after what allah and his prophet has ordained and what the AHL_AL SUNNAH WAL JAMA'AT from amog the companions, successors and their followers have already recieved. the information i used to write this from INDISPENSABLE IMPLICATIONS OF SUNNAH AND CAUTION AGAINST INNOVATION; BY ABDUAL AZIZ BIN ABDULLAH BIN BAZ (rahimual allah) sahal: i'd rather not have anyone in prison, unless they are causing people harm.... a little somethin that i found for u; "help your brother whether he is an oppressor or one who is oppressed." AL BUKHAAREE (eglish tran; vol.3,p.373, no.623) from hadeeth of anas. further narration from him (no.624) he said the prophet said "help your brother whether he is an oppressor, or one who is oppressed.", they said "we will help him if he is opressed, but how should we help if he is an oppressor" and the prophet said (BPUH) "PRevent him from it" also read; reported by Aboo Daawood (no.4896) english trans; vol.3, p.1364, no.4878 in al-bukhaaree in his taareekhul-kabeer (2/102) isnaad is hasan. i hope u benefit people salamz all
  17. salam all; viki, sis, don’t get it twisted; My question was: “What I want to know if possible with stated evidence is whether the American "Scholar" Hamza yussuf is someone who's contributions to Islam can be used for personal use or for academic purposes to teach people. Is he someone that as Salafi Sunni Muslims we should take our knowledge fromâ€. Could I possible ask HAmza yussuf this: He too like billion and one people in the world will say yes I follow the salafiyah too… Further more I asked people’s opinions and contributions on this not weather he is a sufi or not; I have my own views about that already…. Reflected by my subject topic “hamza yussuf shirk or a suufiâ€, As for him taking responsibilities for what he quote’s……..i will not say no more on this, as I have already said what I think of that….. anyhow thankyou for the advice, when and if I have the chance i will try and put my questions to hamza yussuf, i will remember to share his answer with you... salamz all
  18. salam all. sahal, if you want to twist my words in order to offended ur self and others then be my guest: i quoted u a hadith, which most people known, i also said that all sectors will be claiming to the one saved sector, as for salafiya being the saved sec, yes in my view they are; and by that i mean the real salafiya, the ulumas, the true followers of salafiya, who practice what they say they are. as you have said many people claim to be salifiya; the hizbu tarhrir is one of them while not believing in things like punishment of the grave. Everyone will say we are following the salafi's and we are family of sunnah and jamaca. this sorts of people i'm not saying are part of the save sec, Allah knows best where they will go. i would never say that a muslim person is going to hell, i narrated a hadith to you, who i'm to say a such thing. the other thing i will like to make clear is that i do not do everything that the salafi's did, inshallah one day i will, i will there fore not say i am a salaf; i say i am a muslim following the sunnah and the quran to the best of my ability, my examples and role models are the salaf's. salah my question to u is, which is worse, obeying a none muslim or a corupt muslim. i live in London and i abide by the laws of Britain unless they stop me from worshiping Allah, if i lived in Saudi i will do the same, i don't attack Toney Blair so i would attack a muslim leader for his wrong doing. There is xikma in obeying muslim leaders weather they are good or bad as long as they do not intervene with ur cibaada; which is it will lead to greater fitnah. A perfect example is, when the civil war in somali happened, and the leader was over thron, what happened, how many somali muslims killed each other, and how long was the country unstable for after, some parts of somali are still suffering the after shock. somalis are still consumed by dislike for tribes because they killed each others family members, what happened during the war and after was surely much worse then what was happening when he was in power. another recent example is IRqa, again my question wat was the point, what was achieved, is there hope for the remaining few or will they go down hill like parts of somalia. war and killing never solves anything, it just creates hatred, and destroys any hopes of people ever living together in peace. even if peace is achieved as the end results, the question is, is it worth having if you have lost everything in terms of family and wealth, and in most case after war people don't want peace they want revenge. so my question to u sahal if the Saudi people raised up against their leader, what will they achieve, they now live in peace and the leaders do not intervene with their lives or there deen, so why create trouble for themselves by calling attention to themselves through bombs and attacks. another question who said we can attack non muslims in muslim countries, let alone kill them and bomb their work places, i don't care about what Saudi family does, or osman binladen. at the end of the day its you and allah. the other thing is back to my original question i said should someone who follows salafiya take knowledge from hamaza yussuf; and i asked for evidence, viki; in replying salfa dacwa used the work of others as evident; this may or may not be his opinion, but i asked for evidence. if the person he quoted was wrong then u will have to take it up with them, but don't take it so personally. this is not to discredit hamza yussfu or attacking him, but a simple question NB: sahal correction brother, on eid and weddings, LITTLE GIRLS sang songs which praised allah on eid and when abu bakar said the shytan in the house of the prophet and went to tell them off, he said leave them. in one narration when the prophet walked in, the little girl said "and here with us in the prophet who knows what will be" (order of words my be incorrect) and he told her off. also when he did the xijrah, the little girls were so excited that one of them said to him if you get here safely by ALLLAH i will sing and dance for you, and he said to her u should not do that but u must fulfil ur promise, so he allowed her, while she was sing with the daf (which is a one sided drum) she heard omer coming and she was so afraid of him, she sat on the drum so omer would not see it and the prophet did not comment, if it was hala he would've encouraged her to continue; also read luqman, verse6, and the detail translation, for example ibu kathir. salam .
  19. hey diri sorry i can only read english, sorry salam
  20. salam, lol Sorry brother adanna, Asian people use ur name for both females and males i think. dere waz a boy i knew called adana sorry anyhow. i do agree i don't think debating with warsema will help, he is advertising religion and not been direct, if he honestly wanted a debate he should find a Muslim scholar and do it face to face. people here are not qualified to debate with him (i don't no if nur has done specialized studies for this area) in any case, what is he trying prove, we already said he can have his believes and we'll not attach him for it. in any case, we should not argue about religion. p.s. someone said that all Christians and Jews and Muslims have same god, this is not true, hence why we negate other gods in da shahada (there is no god worth worship but Allah) which shows that people have different gods but only one is worth worship. its nice to make non Muslims feel wlc but not at the expense of Islam, saying the truth is hard but the best policy, dey can keep their deen and we keep ours, it aint similar, it aint based on the same concept, nor is it permitted for us to say so to make others feel wlc. salamz
  21. salam geel jiri u should not be suprised at this, the prophet told us before he even died that his ummah will be divided into 73sector's, all of them in hell except one. may allah guide us to the saved sec; amen salamz
  22. salam all what is wrong with you people!! you are attacking because!!! so what do you guys believe in??? Okay, all i keep seeing is Saudi family this that, why does it matter what they do? What makes them so relevant, what your going to run away from the deen because you don't like the Saudi family brothers and sisters there is nothing between you and Allah, no one, not Saudi family not salaif, so what are you all so worried about, worship ur lord in the correct way according to the sunnah and the Quran and don't worry too much about the Saudi family. as muslims we are not allowed to common on what happened between the sahabah after the death of the prophet (BPUH) and the emerge of the khawarij or shia as it is now called. so leave it secondly for the brother who was attack abdual wahab, "fear allah", he did not name the al wahabis, it was a name given to them and he did not come with a new religion but revived Islam from a time of great difficulties when shirk and sinning was common and people when away from their religion. Many ullams have said that every hundred years Allah send someone to revive the sunnah, abdual wahab was one of those. his books are the foundation for the good belief and faith, one of the best books that he has written which is a must read of every Muslim regardless of age,(the three fundamental principles of Islam. so how can u attack him after his death, what do you gain from it. if anyone can honestly say to me that the use information for their deen from only none salaf's alone, i would be surprised, even the shia who are so different from the sunni's follow the works of salafi's, so unless ur worshiping how u wish i don't see how its possible. i advice anyone who has a problem with obeying rules to read the foundation of the sunnah, which is also available is Somali, its not something that salafi's have made up. islam is not based on what you like and what you dislike, nor is it what makes sense to us, but instead its based on Allah said, the prophet said and the uulam's said...... and those of u who are using the likes of Osama bin laden as a role model of what we should do: NB: that salafis have kept their mouth close about him, all they have said is that IF he did step11, then he was wrong and it was not from the sunnah and QUran. many of you should no this, there are guidelines for war and it does not including killing women and children and trees and those who are not fighting you. and a state of war has to be declared which has not been..... so what are u'll supporting him for.....] he is not a scholer, has never claimed to be one.... he is a political leader...that may or may not be one of the guided ones. NB: the double standard; Ibn Taymiyah, who is a salafi ,is follwed by the sauid family (by mouth not action), many of his explainations and translations are complosory for schools to teach, in fact a guy was sacked from a newspaper for saying that it was his fault that there are so many freedom fighters, and that his teachong should be banned. and i have never seen nor heard a salaf Scholar attacking Ibn Taymiyah, so maybe u got it twisted ppl salamz
  23. salam brother; from what i can understand (only read english) ur just doing a general introduction for farahz and xalimos who did not do religious education or is the main point in the somali section either way why is there so much information on Christianity on SOL, i'm i missing the point or is it aimed at educating somalis on it or to convert them? salamz
  24. salam all ameenah; xizbu tahrir and al muhajuura, are first of all the same organization with two different names. they were both formed by one man, who lives in london (can't remember his name on the top of my head, but i'll get back to u on da) after estabilish xizub tahrir, the party become unpopular and many people gave dawac to him due to some of the believs of his party (i.e. they don't believe in kadar or punichment of the grave). he refused the dacawa that was given to him, which led to his party being banned from most mosque for preaching things with no evidence. he later said he has found the evidence against him to be true and tried to get his party to change, however by then it was too late, they were into the believes too much, him and few of his followers then renamed them self al mujahurrun, but the problem with this party it was too much politics and hardly any islam,,, they taught people about estabilishing a khalifa before they corrected their actions, many of them do not pray correctly or have little knowldge about islam, but will talk ur ear off with politics. so again he was given dacwa, but has remained in his ideology. in islam we are not allowed to over emphasis something so much that its does not give time to other aspects of life, this is what they have done with politics and khalifa. and allah will not change the conditions of the people unless they change whats within their heart/soul, which indicates that a starting point is correction of the self, family, friends, area then maybe a kalafiah.. they have been calling themselve al muhajurru followers of al sunnah wal jamaca but clearly its to trick people into think that they are rigous people and to gain them a wider audience target. anyone who has any knowldge of salfiya or different islamic sectors will confirm that indeed they are not part of salafu saalaxi salamz
  25. lol, i knew i missed something... tension or love as u call it. hate is a strong word, its sad to see that even on the internet, somalis wanna fight, and discreidt each other. NB: in islam (which ever sector you are) it was adviced by the prophet not to argue about things that we do not know for sure (which is everything) so arguing about salfi, and non salafi, who is wrong or write does not get you any reward from allah, possible u are sinning by insulting someone and they inslut the religion. either way focus on ur believes and actions that is what you will be questioned for not anyone else. also NB; xibu tahrir and al mujahruun ar not the family of sunnah and jamaca for the brother who was using it as evidence against salafis' salam all
