Pakistan Al-Qaida show up in Somalia, Yemen
Thankful replied to Recovering-Romantics's topic in Politics
Weren't this the same American officials that claimed not to long ago that Iraq had WMD's and once they went in their they would find stockpiles of it? This guys definitely aren't to be trusted. But people like Aweys definitely bring this negative attention. -
With the Italians saying they will open diplomatic relations with us and I am hearing they may start accepting the Somali Passport, I believe President Sharif has a window of oppurtunity. The people will eventually turn fully against Aweys and realize enough is enough. It's quite sad though, Mogadishu should be President Sharifs base and strong hold, but instead his biggest threat comes from their. He is a very intelligent man, and has accomplished so much in the short time he's been in Politics. The Prime Minister just returned from Italy and Libya and is in Dubai, I believe they are doing a good thing and are trying to fight domestically and internationally.

He's someone that only comes once in a life time. He has all the qualities that a leader should have, with some many enemies around him he continuous to keep is composure and looks for peaceful solutions. He has already won in my book.

Good Job, President Sharif and Prime Minister Abdirashid are showing some impressive diplomatic skills; while under some serious pressure. They should be commended for their ability to negotiate. At the very least this news is a start, hopefully more countries will follow suit.

Osman just needs to be guided a bit and understand that d-block(had to mention it, so he knows it's not allowed) or any other mentioning is prohibited. But all in all he's doing isn't new. When you have people saying bugland, pirateland, buttland, Col Yey things will inevitably end up like this. Why are people complainng now? There's been quite a few ridiculous posts coming from some!

^^^Dear lad; I do not know whether they have told you so far (even in passing), but it seems to me, that you either seriously belong to a “lunatic asylum”. Or failing that the “toddlers kindergarten” will seriously consider your application to join their outfit. osman_nz Very good points my friend, don't mind these guys. Whenever you call them out with facts, they will comment like he just did and try to attack you peronsonally. Accuse you of not being at their calibre of intelligence, they need to attack you rather because they know that when it comes to Riyaale there is ABSOLUTELY nothing they can say to defend him. Of course they like to call President Sharif, Sheik hotel. Or Former President Abdullahi Yusuf, President Yey. But when you call out their leader they need to attack you, it's a topic they can't defend against. Once Mr. Oodweyne starts speaking about how you don't understand whats going on because you are too young, or that you need to be put in a mental hospital and are just not at his intellectual level. You've pinned him against corner and he feels the need to lash out at you personally, because he can't defended against the facts. 1)The leader they elected, was once the head of the feared NSS, which was part of a regime they said committed war crimes, a reason they say resulted in their decision to break away. (How can they defend against this? Anyone part of the NSS you would think would never be allowed in a new government, forget about the head) 2)He was elected by the ballot, once he achieved power, elections were postponed and the claim was that there was issues with the election commission and registering people. Even though from time he was elected by the ballot he had 4 years to sort this out and it's already been an extra year and still their are problems. How do they defend against this? So he doesn't respond and attacks you, rather then the facts!!! Don't start talking about other leaders and having little nicknames for them, when you have the likes of war criminal Riyaale.

The pic you have of General Gabre, doesn't look like him, I've seen him a few times and this one looks like him. He was never that dark, unless that pic is when he was young and he's made a huge change. Are you using those nonesense british somaliland sites?

Very Powerful pictures!! He is a very educated man, Puntland does produce good military and university educated leaders. Great Pics!

Garowe: Meeting between Oil companies top Ministers...PICS
Thankful replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Dabshid, you were reading my mind!!! This is proof it had nothing to do with the actions of the previous admin concerning oil, but other factors that you can figure out. General Duke and PeaceNow were always in favor of it and any kind of development, I'll admit that. But no one else was!!! All they spoke about was how bad dealing with a juniour firm was, and how Range Resources and African Oil were their to steal. They spoke about how it was illegal for the previous admin to deal with them directly was. Forget about SOL, President Faroole himself and his camp were the number one people against it before they took over, and continuously spoke about illegal contracts. They said Puntland wasn't able to sign such deals and that was the job of the Federal government. But we all know that if it was so illegal, he would never have let his ministers sit at the table with them and would have voided the deal. But now he is asking for the international community to deal with him directly and not the Federal Government. President Faroole and the Federal President Faroole camp(particularly his sons) have a very good grasp of the media and are able to sway the diaspora's opinion. This is why even when his son meets with Pirate leaders as reported by a foreign journalist their is not an uproar, or when his goverment is in meetings with the same oil companies he once said were conducting illegal business, yet still people remain silent. I knew from day one the outrage 3 and a half years ago concerning the signing of the oil contract had nothing to do with the legality of it. He just wanted to be behind the wheel, and he definitely pulled it off! If it was illegal as they once said, they he wouldn't have to commit to it. -

Forget about the "Somali race" already. oil exploration in puntland for puntland. I wont think of you from my end don't think of us fair enough? This coming from a self proclaimed Somalilander. You named your unrecognized enclave after a whole ethnic group. Puntland, the south, north are all Somaliland!!! The hypocracy! You speak of not thinking of us from your end, but then you name your place after everyone!! HAAAAAAH -
No Winners on the Horizon in Somalia’s Long Battle With Chaos
Thankful replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
I said it before, I remember when Aweys fought the coalition of warlords back in 2006ish right in the middle of mogadishu. Then when ethiopia came he left the city quickly claiming that he wanted to limit civilian death and went to asmara, only to return after ethiopia left, and now he's fighting again in mogadishu, where tens of thousands are being displaced. Why did he show so much consideration for civilians when Ethiopia was coming and not anymore? All this current bloodshed started shortly after he arrived. -
Your compadre JB and company, always posts negatives news about Somalia, and only positive ridiculous news with no bases concerning your enclave. Like, Somaliland electorale commission invited to Lebanon. For some reason he thinks that portraying Somalia as lawless helps his cause. We want to make it clear that things are not as rosy as you make it out to be, and Riyaale is a war criminal and there is no democracy and elections being held!
