Mad_Mullah, The fact her father is a gaal does not mean iyaad aya gaal noqon- and in any case EVEN if she is gaal you have no write to pass judgement on her; who are you? worry about where you are going and how you are going to get there rather a child who at this moment is innocent in all sense of the word. You have not done anything for Somalia or the deen for that matter that allows you to point fingers at one one. So yes it shows what kind of people we are- ones who use their brain and common sense. I dont care the fact he is cadaan or even gal for that matter- because she married him not me and lord knows how she/he and the child will turn up. Same goes for us all, you dont know you will die a Muslim, let alone a good one. -

Horta why do Somali men (particularly on this forum) treat women/ femininity like a disability or child, what has my views as an individual got to do with my gender. Let it go, half of the “guys” on these forums wear dirac in real life, and half the women names here and male most of the time in real life.

Jacpher;699103 wrote: Ibti would have you believe 60% of UK Somalis are ethnically Somali and regionally from Somalia especifically Northwestern Somalia, a place that has been seeking to secede the past twenty years from the country. I don't know about the figure but these people are Somali by ethnicity and their national origin is Somali or Somalia since by law UK doesn't recognize Somaliland as a country. I can only image the Census bureaucrats going in circles figuring out what to do with Somalis writing in so many different labels on the Census forms. From what I know, the Census is used to determine the govenmental representation, social, community services and schooling funds an area should receive from the federal government. The rest of the data is used for statistical purposes, not to fund, aid or recognize foreign governments. Census officialls don't care if you were born in Banaadir, Burco or Boosaaso. I can only imagine the headache these Census people is waiting to happen. Reminds me of a friend who told me he substituted for high school teacher one day and asked students to record their attendance on a sheet. Each student wrote in a celebrity name after his. They handed in a two sheet paper of which half of the names were Hollywood celebrities. Heck the SOL spell check doesn't recognize Somaliland. It's yelling at me with red underline marks as I type the word. Ibti work on the spell check recognition first. How did I miss this important memo. Thanks Ibti. I am gonna put Puntland on mine and will spread it to my tol. We still have few weeks to go. PL folks in UK, show your love for Ibti. Same thing with Moqdisho & Ocaden folks. Make sure you mark yourself as your region to get better Census stats and better development for your region even though the Census has nothing to do with anything outside the country. As I said shows how little YOU know or even understand. the census once it is turned into figures and statistics it is open for ANYONE to use, how and the way they like it. The information is collected for the state- yes and it is used to plan for the UK population, but the census is also the bedrock of all academic studies (particularly in research and development), recommendations and yes it is useful to us as a community. By the way again, the data is not handled manually by data collectors- so it can't confuse anyone (it is scanned it to a computer which categorizes the information) so if you write something unrecognized it will invalid and voided (i.e. not included) so unless you can get together 39000 of Puntilanders (born there) and get them to write it as an answer to the same question with the same spelling (if you can please do) then you are just corrupting the data. As I keep saying this is pretty useless as political tool nor does it have any bearing on the recognition or lack of it for Somaliland. Also the fact that there are more Somalis from Somaliland in the UK is hardly a secret- same way Italy hosts more Somalis from the clans in the far coast and the dominant clans in puntiland (all these things are not my saying- academic studies which you can find on any journals and published data- start of Jstore). Of course in the last few years the scales have been tipped by all the tahrib and people fleeing the new wars 2006/2007, so I am assume all the balance are now changing. As for ZACK, there are about 250000 Somalis in the UK and you think we are barely known by the government, they could not avoid Somalis if they tried.

W salam @ Juxa, Hello

@ Liibaan, I made a comment ABOUT you, thats not the same as wan kula murmey, your cut and paste jobs make it difficult for others to engage- as you can see I was having a discussion with NGONGE, VAL and the rest when aad so dhex kelys two pages of cut and paste from random sites which add nothing to the discussion and no one has the time to read. Like I said if you want to say something, say it yourself, waxaba ha ku deg deg another mans words- it is a forum for Nomads to share their view- not for you to bombard us with articles from sub clan websites. I say the same to JB, Xajji and the other guy that floods the site with Puntiland. As for Zack iyo what was said and when and how, taas shaqo laan ba ku gesey and there is no comparison- ZACK was pissed off about what I expressed- I said he is free to disagree and hit the road Jack. I dont mind what you write, so long as you write it yourself. YOU can do it as your illustrate above. Bilash baad my words uu twist garenysa, I said the people whose articles you post are high on jad to compare hitler to Somaliland and SSC, I never said people could not protest. I dont comment or read threads you start because I know weligaba it is a copy and paste from some reer hebel.com trash written by an angry man hiding behind a computer. So by all means flood your own threads I wont complain or even notice. I dont need a crash course in Somali history, but thanks anyways

Saalax and co; getting increase in AID is not dhuulitan, when SL does not rely on AID and Diaspora support you can say fully wye dhuushay! Since Oct 2010, there has been three anti Somaliland Demos in London. I don’t really mind them to be honest but I find it strange that of all things to protest about that is wrong with the Somalis, people will waste their time and money and UK tax money carrying posters in the cold that read "down down Somaliland" iyo "Somaliland does not exist" really? hada maxa on this freezing day gurigagi ka so sarrey. Protest is open to everyone- its true but be clear about what you are protesting about- which I don’t get? What does “down down Somaliland” mean? does it mean they want it to crash, cease to be peaceful, do they want the British to invade them. These protest lack focus, just buuq and qalo. I heard they are planning one for May 18th seems to me like they are crossing the thin line between expressing your view and being xasid and trouble maker for the sake of it. With the AID thing, Somaliland is going to get 40% of the total AID, seems a bit unfair to me, Puntiland iyo Somaliland iin wax la siiyo mabah aha (maybe 40% between them) laakin humanitarian meel kale aya loga bahanya. They just need a way to skip the TFG and the Suitcase NGOs and they people in Kenya.

Kamaavi!: lol put in some effort and you will understand dhee. Habarsane adba gabar baad tahey, besides anigu cidna lama caytamo. Laakin on this thread I never said anything about your beloved Barre so whats your beef. Miis magacega ayad ka bihii.

Warya kiddo, you can and should promote WHO you want, laakin your are being a troll for posting countless artciles written by the same man high on qaad comparing clan war to Hitler. Get a life, I am certainly not defending my decisions to silly kids who think war is like they see on computer games. I am glad that in order to attack me, you used your own words and wrote 2 sentence together (although mainly quotes from myself and Zack still) learn to express your opinions instead of hanging on another mans as*s all your life. Following the loud leaders is foolish, you'd think people will know that now. Keep it moving yaro and focus on this thread. qabyaalad is why you are flooding the site and crying endless river- none qabyaalad is why I am arguing with my fellow Burcawii Ngonge.
-
wyre, dont wish that on the kingdom and if it does, Mecca and Madian taag, allah has protected it and people wont gamble with either future.
-
Ngonge, SNM was an emotional response, it was only AFTER they did whatever they set out to do that they sat down to consider the future. It is human nature to consider the future when you certain you will have one worth planning.
-
Wyre I dont have a job with an NGO, unless of course Nuune is hooking me up!!! I am going to be jobless for a while. Juxa :( :( Nuune lool @ la ila xiriiro, no unfortunately not that I know off- may your xiriir knows something I dont Juxa flights can be booked till July 2012, so get your summer ticket now unless you wanna pay £800 in 3months time.

Dont worry I will be online like JB 24/7. Aniguba now that I am going, I'm getting cold feet, who wants to go somewhere with no friends but then again I can make a new gang weliba aan iisu xarifiyo.

You are able to look into the future because you have no direct involvement in it, it is not your goats or kids or villages or your house which is subject to curfews or silly farahs with guns mar ba dinic iisu ereyanay, particularly on the back of a severe draught. So yes we have the comfort to look beyond today, but you need to give others (on both sides) the space and safety to look beyond today so that calm discussions and debates can take place. So yes it does follow logic, but the logic is as simple as how can I prolong my life and protect myself today, while the other is how do I protect myself against hit and runs iyo people switching sides as fast as I am breathing.

Loool, waali.com haye. Archdemos really dont take him too seriously, wuu iska hadlaya just to get a reaction, you know Hargesia can get a little boring after a while
-
Loool @ I don’t actually know  I'm surprised Oodewyne did not make you learn it!!! I think we in the west are quite detached from the situation and we analysis it as moving blocks or fitting together little puzzles, but the nature of Somali clan conflicts are more complicated than that and not necessarily sustainable to logic or length arguments. Also people who are impacted by this situation don’t necessarily want to sit around and wait for logic. You are just using words, but your words are defending an army. The same goes for the other side.
