North I'm not sure. Underdog, I think we are saying same/ similar things, just in different ways. Yes Islam is under attack, (although it is crazy how many Muslims do not believe this) hence why it is important Muslims try and limit the damage and push for fair portrayal both in legislation and in the media. Since we are a target, it does not mean we should be be sitting ducks! Hence my thread to make it easy to spot and complain about reported crap. On BBC now: The video of Taliban Sucide attacks

The opposition says Mr Mugabe has lost the presidential election Robert Mugabe's party has lost its majority in parliament for the first time since Zimbabwean independence in 1980, official results show. President Mugabe's Zanu-PF party has so far taken 94 of the 210 seats, while opposition parties have won 105, the Zimbabwe Election Commission says. The opposition MDC says its leader has won the presidential election. Zanu-PF says this is "wishful thinking". The official presidential election results have not yet been declared. The BBC's Grant Ferrett in Johannesburg says that although the release of parliamentary results by the Zimbabwe Election Commission is significant, the main power in Zimbabwe lies with the president. ELECTION RESULTS SO FAR Parliamentary constituencies MDC-Tsvangirai: 96 Zanu-PF: 94 Breakaway MDC faction: 9 Independent: 1 Undeclared: 10 Presidential results None so far Winner needs more than 50% to avoid run-off Source: ZEC Hope for change in Zimbabwe The MDC released its own results to back up its claim of victory in the presidential poll. MDC Party Secretary General Tendai Biti said its leader Morgan Tsvangirai had won 50.3% of the vote to President Robert Mugabe's 43.8%, so avoiding a presidential run-off. In his news conference, Mr Biti said there was "anxiety and disappointment" at the failure of the Zimbabwe Election Commission to declare presidential results. But Mr Biti said that if the election commission decided that neither of the main candidates had won outright, the MDC would be prepared to take part in a second round. For Zanu-PF, Deputy Information Minister Bright Matonga said the claim of victory was irresponsible and could incite violence. And, interviewed by the BBC, he said the pattern of results from the parliamentary election suggested that there would be a second round in the presidential election. BBC

Underdog it is easy for Islam to be the fastest growing religion, because the other religions which you can convert into are loosing touch with their own population who are now less religion and have not reached out to the migrate communities. Pluz if you just look at the statistics it is nothing to shout about, nor is it statistically significant enough to call for a legislative ban on mosques. Overall in a society where people are becoming less religious, Islam sticks out, regardless of if it is growing or not. North I don't plan to hang around long enough.

Talking about who deserve's what in football is silly atheer. I mean really. Arsenal performs well under pressure. Next time we meet, there will be more at stake. Freaky eaters: Addicted to pasta is on. I think I'm addicted to pasta too. P.s. IT was not eight goals!!! lol North I got offered a ticket for today for £500! Of course I told them no Would you have paid that much to go??
-
^^That does not mean anything to the UK in particular underdog. The increase is probably due to the fast growing family size in Muslim countries rather than Western countries.

Trust the Media to report crazy and *s*t*u*p*i*d stories. Anyway it will beneficial for us to post Articles about Islam and Muslims on here so that it will make it easier for those of us who are campaigners to be more effective and active. So please post what ever you see in your daily paper. Today I only had time to read the London Lit/ London Paper (Is there more racist Islamphobic paper, it even beats the sun and daily mail!) on my way home. There was about four different stories on Muslims. 1) BBC "Scared" OF Islam Jokes, says Ben Elton. Well Elton I think we get enough mockery as it is thank you very much. HE thinks there is a genuine fear in the community about "provoking radical elements" 2) Synod MEmber: Stop Mosques They are members of the Church of England who are pushing for a ban on anymore mosques in Britain. Apparently we are taking over. 3) Muslim man faces double divorce: His two wives become friends and demanded a divorce citing "irreconcilable difference" WHY is this news?? 4)Muslims attacking Jewish graves in Plashet Cemetery in Plaistow.
