  1. Well it would be a little too easy if he becomes president and then decides to give his clansmen independency they seek. No ethnically Somalilander will be given any of the significant posts- and that will remain the case even if Somalia exists forever as on entity- just too many other bigger and louder clans to appease compared to the smaller clan hanging off the horn. ;d
  2. btw you didnt get back to me about my renewl. At this rate I am going to be stuck here for good! lol Why do you need paper work prepered and on your day off?- day off means day off dude. Hahaha at your list. I was doing even better in the UK walalo. Somaliland Im sleeping and kicking back (well most of the time anyway). You will have to tell me who that friend is- unless it is the big man I am guessing? He is not mocking you- he wants to get you a gold chain. Say thank you and then sale it.
  3. NGonge why does Alpha need a chain around his neck or gold Alpha you need to fix your poor net :D
  4. I was even more comfortable in the UK!!!! This place iyo comfort kala dheer. hmmmm
  5. Alpha was that a tongue in cheek insults warya!!!! Ngonge, there is no forever in any place. I am a nomad by nature. Already searching for a new home. Laakin I wont be back to London. Down under iyo Far Aisa aya la iga yedaya recently.
  6. ^^^Well of course, did you think I was gonna catch up with toothless old so fast My dad thinks I am 6years younger that my actually age- I heard him tell someone my age, when I corrected him, he argued with me before counting backwards all his kids and then telling me, oo ilen habar gabobowedy baad tahey! lol I have yet to see Nairobi.
  7. last I know she moved to Kenya, she was done with HArgeysa
  8. You are forgetting- I am at least 3 generations younger than you, therefore I am not of the generation that thought violence was misplaced affection- now say hello nicely!!!
  9. All I keep reading is the SSC clan, the puntiland clan, the mars clan. For heaven sake- you are all one big clan, come sunday, you shall inshallah all play happy family. The warlord you insult today, you might have to support on sunday because he is the choosen one. So let it go and just wait and see.
  10. NGonge why baad timiah ii jiid old man? Is that the Somali manly way of saying I miss you?? Salam Juxa and jumca mubarak.
  11. Abu the Voip thing already woks fine. Somtel can give you a USA or UK number, you pay subscription fee and recieve free calls. Only problem is now they need to extend it so that you can also call them for free. It is much easier to move around alone rather dragging a family around and messing up their life if things go a little wrong. Also pretty soon you will worry about schools and stability for them. Not the same as being a lone backpacker. Growegal wlc bk
  12. I heard it was faroole, who was mad she did not invite him to her gig. I heard he did the same to Saado Cali. Yep- Btw if anyone deserve to be beaten, it is 90% of Somali men, starting with most of the ones on this forum. But since you are all walking around chatting breeez, she should be able to do the same with her pretty self and sing for whoever she wants- like any other singer. Somali leaders have long sang politically and been paid for treason- while it was their responsibility to protect their people. Her only responsibility is to her views and her money. Speedy recovery.
  13. Oh yeah you are in the city noW!!!! lol well dont forget to breath lady. Edit: Never mind- shid happens. Salman, no not in health or export, more locally focused. I know you wont steal.
  14. Is he a prof or a Dr. or neither? Can't be both. The only fact is that he is running- as are so many others. Dont build him up so much, if he fails, the last laugh will be long!
  15. http://mary-harper.blogspot.com/2012/07/the-hargeisa-international-book-fair.html The Hargeisa International Book Fair is far more than a book fair. It is now in its fifth year running and hosts authors, poets, musicians, film-makers, artists, playwrights, actors and circus performers, both Somali and non-Somali. The book fair is being held in the Working Men's Club in central Hargeisa, capital of Somaliland which declared itself independent from the rest of Somalia in 1991. The territory has built itself up from the rubble of war, has a growing economy and a functioning democracy. The earth was sprayed with water from this donkey cart to stop things getting too dusty The book fair is the brainchild of Jama Musse Jama, a Somali who fled to Italy during the civil war which broke out in the late 1980s, has lurched through various incarnations and is still not over today. Jama lives in the Italian town of Pisa where he has a publishing house, a vibrant website and a family. He is the author of several books. He was until recently a lecturer in Mathematics at Pisa University. Now he works as a computer scientist. Oh, and he invented a computer game based on a traditional Somali board game called Shax. Jama Musse Jama welcomes us to the book fair Ayan Mahamoud is the other force behind the book fair. She organises numerous Somali events in the UK and elsewhere, including London's Somali Week. Quman Akli has been working day and night to make sure the book fair runs smoothly. Here she is carrying a lute for Hudaydi, also known as the King of the Somali lute: There are stalls selling books, paintings, photographs, handicrafts, clothes, cake and drinks. Mini-libraries have been set up so people can borrow books and read them in a specially designated seating area. This man bought my book Locally published books for sale
  16. Thanks as in I am coming- if so I dont need to e-mail you the ideas- just get here and working already. Otherwise get us a skype date and catch up- even xata maba so haadsheediis these days. How is work and all those qaxoontis?
  17. Abu- salman is your mother still here? There is a Islamic-somali customs think than dedicated to women and equality here- is that good enough
  18. I have just discovered two of the biggest investment ideas- got all excited, draw up the plans and everything for one- still have to do the other-. Of course now I am trying to solve the issue of start up capital and how to make myself three different individuals at the same time to get them going. Juxa, please relocate- I will match your salary at the firm (unless you've had 20 pay rises since I left) :D offer is only open if you land by the 15th sept lady Eid mubarak all.
  19. Lol MAlika why do you want people to come over? It creates a lot of work, cooking and cleaning for you! Too much hard work for a fun and relaxing day. my ideal is take out and good junk food, alone (max 2 (silent) other ppl) raining heavy outside and a good movie. That right there is a perfect Eid. Lool @ kill a camel- you are kidding right? Abu- yes nice places- but the Eid crowd is huge and them few places cannot accommodate- plus it is summer so all the tourist are here- we are out of capacity. As for perceptions- you can never blend in- everyone knows everyone and their business.
  20. Loool @ frozen lands. I hear UK is very hot recently- brits complain all the time- it is too hot, too rainy, too windy, too snowy- we are never happy. lol Malika- it is mising the Eid spirit- so many poor people and beggars, few places to go and too many people to pay. You end up broke and hiding in your house by the end of the day- a far cry from fancy restaurants, night outs and cakes with friends.
  21. Malika> I think the relationship was only relaxed to gain the girls trust to agree to the trip- she basically let the girl have it her way for a while. Somali parents do not know compromise, negotiations, respect, compassion with their kids- they will say maxaad kala sheekeysansa ciyalka? Ma iyaga aya ku taliya:D
  22. ^^^^Lol as suppose to him sleeping in the marfasha. I dont understand how all you former refugees are objecting to these people. I also dont know why we are even surprised- you take a bunch of poor disadvantage people to a 5 star treatment for 2 months and then expect them to happily crawl back to the hole they lived in, without trying to 1) stay, 2) taking something to improve their life. IT is against basic survival instinct to just come, observe a better life and then go back and live ducking bullets or being abused by a repressive regime or war torn Congo. EVEN if they do go back, they will only try to come back by other more dangerous means to the goodness and safety they were exposed to for such brief time, and like Samira from the last Games- chances are they wont make it. Good luck them all and I hope they make use of their new opportunities. All you judgmental freak s sound more racist than the BNP
  23. I dont like Eid in Somaliland. hmmmm. Eid Mubarak all.
  24. Some mothers should not have kids- Seriously how do you force your young daughter on an old relative of yours who already has 2 wives and just seems her us his wild dutch whore. What kind of mother is that- she should marry him since she likes him so much. uuuf
  25. message from Prime Minister David Cameron on Twitter said: "@Mo_Farah is an Olympic legend and a true British hero. We can all be proud of his extraordinary achievement."
