  1. Fellow Nomads, For any of you who are interested in Biomedical Science, do you ever think that there will be a cure for geneticly inherited diseases, such as Cystic fibrosis, Cancer or H.I.V/Aids? And if you do think that there is a cure for all of these diseases, do you think we would have to manipulate the DNA structure in a sufferer's body? H.J

  3. Qaad... We all know it. It has now scientifically been proven that it's BAD for your body. But what's even more important...BAD for your social environment. This has been proven a long time ago, and esspecially after the Somali civil war, which spread somali refugees across the globe, Qaad has shown it's 'effects'. I have seen and experiencd the most hurrendous ordeals with families torn apart by this simple plain leaf called 'Qaad'. Surely if Qaad didn't have such a strong influence on somali men everywhere, we would have settled half of our disputes a long time ago. ...And it is not only the social aspects of life, but what about the religious? We as a nation should be 100% Sunni Muslim, and yet we cannot give up a harmull tradition for our own Deen... People what kind of faith is this??? Think of the afterlife and how Allah SWT is going to bless or punish you. H.J
  4. The ablility to talk various languages is a special one, and we as somalis and ****** should 'keep it real' and try to indulge ourselves in formal english. After all it's not that hard is it? Take me for example, I have lived in The Netherlands for 12 years and came to the U.K. I've only lived here a year and a half, yet when my GCSE's arrived I got my highest grades (an A and an A*) for English literature. I'm not a genius, so I guess that every single one of us could do the same, if they'd just put their minds into it. Ebonics is fun for youre own social environment, but in school we have to make use of 'formal' english. One Proud Somali*****
