  1. Here is a woman who has a small body and she is a relatively short in height but with the largest heart you can ever imagine, she has a heart so large that everybody’s pain and sorrow has found a welcome place in it and a hospitable accommodation and after all this she still finds a safe spot in her golden heart to accommodate the unconditional love that she has for her husband and their three lovely children. In today's lost and selfish society she is considered to be a loser because she wouldn't walk around naked just to demonstrate her "new found" freedom, she wouldn't sell her soul to the devil just to be seen as a feminist and she wouldn't jeopardise her health and her god given natural beauty by drinking, smoking and taking drugs just to be a liberal woman. Just because she is wearing the traditional Muslim dress doesn't mean she is under any sort of oppression, just because she refuses to be exploited by evil men doesn't mean she is less feminine or she is not blessed with a beautiful body but she knows she doesn't need to prove that to anybody but to her loving husband as she is a loving wife to her life long companion and a adorable Mom to her children who give her the greatest joy any fortune couldn't buy and her husband knows that he has a true gem in her as she is the reason why he is so happy and he also knows that he can always depend on her as she is his pillar of strength because she is a Muslim wife and a real woman indeed.
  2. My heart holds this hope, and it's splitting it to pieces, trying so hard to cope with the weight of all these beautiful dreams. Silent screams to you are mute, they seem much louder in my mind, cries fall into deaf ears, only to ring louder in mine. I can't breathe. I'm suffocated by my fear of rejection. I can't see. I'm blinded by the sight of your perfection. I can't feel, for this love is all I've known for so long, I can't sleep, for fear that one day you'll be gone. To stand near you, it takes all I have and much more, to keep my broken heart from hitting the cold floor. Please look at me, once, I'm here and I'm ready, you're the only way my frantic heart is beating for steadily. If you could just see my true love and true self, I'd wish to be invisible to everyone else. You're all that I need, and I've tried to deny it, My mouth I can silence, but my heart won't keep quiet. From my eyes shed tears for you, which are formed in my soul, and as it falls, so does a piece of what makes my heart whole. I hope one day you'll see it, its one hell of a lonely fall, its desperate plea from me to you, strong enough to shut the noise off around us, so you can listen. And from this tear, you'll finally know what you never understood, For it carries confessions across my cheek the way no words spoken ever could.
  3. There are certain things that married people seem to do but I never understood the purpose of it. A-Why on earth would a married man be out all night long with the so-called friends and chewing the night away while his beautiful wife is waiting for him at home and she falls sleep on the couch while she was patiently waiting for her husband to come home to her? What kind of friends would encourage a married man to stay out all night, a real friends supposed to chase you away and tell you to go home to your loving wife and not keep you away from her. B-why would a married woman need to wear indecent clothes and expose herself to other men or be in the company of men other than her husband? These days we have married people doing all sorts of things and I am afraid it all contributed to the countless broken homes that we Somali people have today. We hear or even see a married people committing physical and verbal adultery and I have always said, in my opinion the most unfortunate person in the whole world is the one, whose partner cheats on him/her, now normally the word "Cheat" is something that I would only associate with fear and something only a coward would do because remember no one grabbed you by the neck and forced you to marry this person and if your partner fails to live up to his/her responsibilities then all you have to do is ask for a divorce instead of stooping to such a low level and I believe any self respecting person and God fearing person would never do such things but you never know and there are some married people who indulge in Cyber Romance and lead on innocent and unsuspecting people and they might even deny that they are married. But I honestly believe that the person that you are cheating with won’t have an ounce of respect for you because once you lose yourself respect no one else will respect you.
  4. London - Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe was voted the third-greatest African of all time, topped only by South Africa's former President Nelson Mandela and former Ghanaian president Kwame Nkrumah, in a survey for New African magazine, announced on Thursday. Mugabe, widely criticised outside Zimbabwe for stifling dissent and crippling the economy of his once-prosperous southern African nation, was an "interesting" choice because "a high-profile campaign in the media has painted him in bad light", wrote the New African. The London-based magazine said responses flooded in after the survey was launched last December to nominate the top 100 most-influential Africans or people of African descent. Heroes of independence movements in Africa and African-American figures in the United States figure prominently on the list. Patrice Lumumba, Congo's first post-colonial prime minister, ranks sixth, followed by United States civil rights leader Martin Luther King. Pele, the legendary Brazilian soccer star, came in 17th, followed by Jamaican reggae singer Bob Marley, numbering among those called "Diasporans" by New African. Radical civil rights leader Malcom X, at ninth, was a rank above United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan, from Ghana, who comes just ahead of US boxer Muhammad Ali. Few women made the cut. The highest-ranked woman, at 12th, was Winnie Mandela, the exwife of the former South African president Mandela. Others included the dynamic duo of tennis, American sisters Venus and Serena Williams (together ranked 73rd), and ancient Egyptian queen Nefertiti at number 81. The magazine noted that most of the top 100 were from Africa's post-colonial period. "Have people forgotten Africa's history? Must this worry us, as a people?" it asked. The list appears in the August-September issue of New African, which has a circulation of roughly 30 000 across dozens of countries. It said this was the first such survey it had carried out in a decade. P.S as far as i am concerned the most influential man that ever came from Africa is Sayyid Muhammad Abdullah Hassan,May Allah have mercy on his soul and reward him with Jannah.
  5. She loves me... I can see it in her pretty eyes when she stares... the way she can't hide that she cares... She loves me not... Hates me with a passion, you can tell from the way she ignores me...and how little i mean to her. can't seem to understand how when she talks,it makes me weak... She loves me... Knowing that just brightens my day, fills my heart with joy... couln't take it if i were to find out that, to her i'm just a toy she plays with... She loves me not... Not to love me back is to crush my heart in her hand... She's th missing piece in my life to complete me. As each petal falls to the ground it tells me if you love me or not... in the sweet aroma of your perfume I could drown, Without you, I'd rather rot... You dont know what you make me feel, When I'm not with you or your not with me... They say love doesnt exist, but this sure does feel real,in your arms is where i would love to be... she loves me... That is the only thing that matters... I love your smell of roses, candy, and cream... She loves me not... Now I dont know what to do... Nothin is going to change your mind not even "I Love You" So for the rest of my life i'll be left in depression for the way i fought... For your love, though now i know, you love me not... They say don't trust a limping dog and the tears of a Woman but i wish i knew that before my heart was broken and i was still a happy humanbeing. May God Bless Me and My Soul.
  6. Now,my last breath i take i died before i met you the last minute.. i awake lively enough to greet you my past feelings died my soul alive enough to know that i've tried my best even as little as it may show my feelings of love.. once alive and the vibe you replied was strong the truth hurt deeply.. inside i died how could my heart be so wrong now for you my eyes bleed the way you treat me is hideous you punished me for my need still i greet you with open arms because I Love You and Always will and someday you will wake up and realize when it's already too late and i'm long gone.
  7. I am not saying all Somali men are Angels per say but I think we deserve much more credit than you girls are giving us and if you think I am bluffing take a look at this and tell me if there is ever a Somali husband who would do something so hideous like this to his beloved wife. Amman - A Jordanian man forced his wife to sit on the bonnet of their car as he drove through the streets of the capital to "punish" her after an argument, Al Dustour newspaper reported on Wednesday. As a result the 22-year-old woman fell and was hospitalised for broken bones and concussion, the daily said, adding that she was in "moderate condition". Her 27-year-old husband was arrested. Al Dustour described the incident as a "novel and curious method of punishing wives" and said it was the first of its kind in Jordan. P.S on the other hand i don't think there is a Somali lady who would ever tolerate such a rubbish from her Husband and i am glad for that.

Brother Luggooyo, I saw this particular player playing in the Champions League for Feyenoord FC few years back and I was surprised to say the least, I knew he wasn't Somali but I was curious more than anything else to know why his name was Somalia. After talking to some relatives in Holland who are football mad, they told me that it was a simple coincidence and that was that. by the way did you see the two goals that Robinho scored against Figueirense on Sunday? I told you that Boy was sheer magic .
  9. Melbourne - A 26-year-old man was jailed for a year on Monday for posing as a doctor and treating more than 100 patients even though he had no medical training. Mark Collier pleaded guilty to 60 charges, including unlawful assault on patients, during his trial in Melbourne, Australia's second biggest city. The court heard that Collier secured a job at a suburban Melbourne clinic after meeting its owner in a bar. Over four days he gave injections, counselled patients, removed stitches from the pubic region of a pregnant woman and ordered tests using pathology forms he had stolen from hospitals. Collier was exposed when he was identified by someone who knew him. Defence lawyer Peter Cash asked for a suspended sentence, saying his client was an alcoholic who suffered from a borderline personality disorder and a major depressive disorder with psychotic features. But magistrate Lisa Hannan said Collier placed some of the community's most vulnerable members at risk. She said the patients he treated ranged in age from seven months to 78. "Through your actions you've undermined confidence in our public health system," she said, recommending that the people who employed Collier as a doctor be referred to medical authorities. Collier sobbed when his sentence was read out. His lawyer said they would appeal the jail term. P.S Are you sure your family Doctor is Legit?
  10. Don't worry Saaxiib, someday we will win a Gold Medal Insha Allah.
  11. I guess the reason why they didn't disqualify her could be that they knew she was from Somalia where there was no track and field facilities and Athletes don't have enough knowledge about the rules and she also had no chance of winning the race and she wasn't blocking a competitor so they let her go. but overall it was great to see a Sister representing and if cheering could win any Athlete a race she would have won that race because i was screaming like crazy but still even 8th is better than NOTHINg. Thanks Fartun Abukar Omar for the bravery and the courage you have shown,we are all very proud of you. P.S Could anybody in here pass me her Phone Numbers Please.
  12. Well done to this brave sister who in earlier today represented Somalia in the track and field events. she took part in the 100m heats and she even got to race with the greats like Gail Devers of U.S and Zhanna Block of Ukraine but unfortunately she finished last which meant she couldn't make it into the quarters but she deserves a round of applause for carrying the Somali flag. She sure was a one brave Sister and i was very very proud of her to say the least and when i first saw her name and face i jumped with delight. all i have got to say to her right now is "You Go Girl"
  13. Baker Lake - When state wildlife agents recently found a black bear passed out on the lawn of Baker Lake Resort, there were some clues scattered nearby - dozens of empty cans of beer, Yes Beer cans. The bear apparently got into campers' cooler boxes and used his claws and teeth to puncture the cans. And not just any cans - he appeared to favour one brand over another. "He drank the Rainier and wouldn't drink the Busch beer," said Lisa Broxson, bookkeeper at the campground and cabins resort east of Mount Baker. Fish and Wildlife enforcement Sgt Bill Heinck said the bear did try one can of Busch, but ignored the rest. The beast then consumed about 36 cans of Rainier. A wildlife agent tried to chase the bear from the campground but the animal just climbed a tree to sleep it off for another four hours. Agents finally herded the bear away, but it returned the next morning. Agents then used a large, humane trap to capture it for relocation, baiting the trap with the usual: doughnuts, honey and, in this case, two open cans of Rainier. That did the trick. "This is a new one on me," Heinck said. "I've known them to get into cans, but nothing like this. And it definitely had a preference." Lord Have Mercy.
  14. Romania - A Romanian man who submitted a written request for a fixed phone line in 1976 finally received a reply, 28 years later, from Romania's state-run Romtelecom, published on Wednesday. More astounding than the delay, however, was the message. "We inform you that we still do not have any lines available," said the letter, addressed to Gheorghe Titianu. "But if you maintain your request," it continued, offering a glimmer of hope, "please fill out the attached form." Titianu had the courtesy to answer. "I am honoured that you have not forgotten me after 28 years," he wrote, tongue firmly in cheek. "But in the meantime I have gotten married, had two children and have even gotten a phone line in my new home." Romtelecom took the incident - which it described as "nothing exceptional" - in stride. "A lot of people who request lines die in the meantime, which is why we like to confirm that a request is still current," a customer service representative said. P.S That's what i call a real Service because after all these years they still haven't forgotten about the above mentioned Gentleman.

  18. Juxa, We all get heavier as we get older because there is a lot more information in our heads so like Cumar Beenaale once said "There is but one Good Mother-in-Law and unfortunately she is Dead" so give the Devil its Due my Sister. May Peace Be With You.
  19. Snow, The more i read your response the more i realize that you are one bitter brother because i have failed to understand one bit of the "Point" you made above. I wonder what would your reply be had Somalia been in the same position that Iraq and Iraqis find themselves in today because there are similarities between the two. Why Somalia didn't take back Djibouti or NFD or even Zone 5? ever asked yourself those Question mate? I bet you did but failed to come up with a meaningful resolution. like i said before "In my opinion Saddam Hussein was far better than any US or UK soldier would ever be and the unrest and the constant and continuous unnecessary deaths of Iraqi citizens will back my argument just like Siad Barre was far better than all these scavengers that are running around in our country today claiming to be our "Leaders".

  24. Nairobi - "When word reaches you 'Kiplagat is in court', you should know it's because I put my signature on so many expenses for the Somalis." Chief Somalian peace negotiator Bethuel Kiplagat's tongue-in-cheek warning to conference-goers in Pretoria last week, has sombre undertones: chances are slim Kliplagat will land in jail for guaranteeing hotel, restaurant and transport bills of the 600-odd Somali delegates to the negotiations in Kenya over the past few months. However, what does concern Kiplagat, is that the international community might get so fed-up with the long-winded negotiations that the necessary financial aid won't be forthcoming. Somalia is the only African country without an internationally recognised government. Anarchy rules The government collapsed and anarchy now rules the country where warlords have waged civil war for many years and thousands of people have died. Somalis fled the country in their millions seeking a better life elsewhere. Following 18 months of peace negotiations a tiny flicker of hope has emerged promising a binding agreement to restore order. Complex conflicts raging between warlords, gangs, clans and sub-clans, traditional authorities and political factions, have made it difficult to establish who speaks with the true voice of Somalis. And that is why there are so many participants in the peace negotiations. Murky role An added complication is the fact that a section of Somalia is functioning as an independent state, Somaliland. In addition a the murky role is being played by certain neighbouring countries and international powers. Kiplagat admits there is a likelihood that the latest plans for a transitional government might fail. "During the previous negotiations Somalis went to Mecca and swore on the Koran to stop fighting, but it didn't work. "We cannot be as naive as to believe that this time round we will definitely by successful," Kiplagat, a member of Africa Peer Review Mechanism-panel, told the conference organised by the Africa Institute. The crisis in Somalia resulted after General Mohamed Siad Barre seized power in 1969 in a coup and civil war broke out in 1978. Barre's regime was overthrown in an armed revolt. Somaliland, in the northwest seceded at the time. No idea of democracy Kiplagat says the process includes everyone who represents the disjointed Somali community in one way or another. "We have to include those who might want to sabotage the effort. If they are excluded we have a huge problem on our hands." Mogadishu Centre for Dialogue co-director Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle says the possibility that peace negotiations will aggravate the conflict, cannot be ruled out. "We are dealing with warlords who have no idea of democracy. If talks fail, they immediately close ranks. The last time it happened we were left with two thousand deaths." Several observers believe Somaliland should be treated as a separate entity. Only when a government has been instituted in the rest of the country can negotiations over co-operation between them start. Greater participation by the international community would be required for the transition to be successful. Currently it is not the case. "We hope it is not necessary for a disaster to happen before people take note of events in Somalia," says Abdulle. In southern Sudan, where issues are much more clearly defined - mainly Muslims pitted against Christians - and where it is easier to identify the conflicting sides, the US is playing an important role, but not in Somalia. US plays damaging role Some observers say the US plays a damaging role since they provide certain warlords with arms to capture "Al Qaeda" suspects. Assistance during the transitional period is therefor more likely to come from the Middle East than from the US or Europe. Kiplagat is confident that with the commitment of the rest of Africa the peace process must succeed sooner or later. "Somalis are forgotten people. We weep with them, but we will be successful, with or without the money," he says. "Even if it takes ten years, we have to keep on trying. Somalia's problem is Africa's problem."
