This begs the question will Muse be willing to give 20 km coast and a naval base to Somaligalbeed for ictiraaf

I don't think this will work because if Somali Galbeed becomes independent, they will be in a unique situation where they are officially landlocked but in reality have unlimited access to the sea and seaports. I mean who can stop maryoolay from peddling their cheap China made ware across the borders. I doubt the different authorities can even tax them properly.

    • Haha - That was funny. You made me laugh! 1

You have no idea how much Somalia sacrificed for Jibouti's independence, perhaps one of these days I shall educate you as to the back story. In the interim, you should read C/Rizaq X Xuseen's, and Qaybe's memoirs.

One of my relatives was killed by the French for assisting the liberation struggle.

so u wont mind if Somali galbeed becomes a country but Somaliland isnt allowed  a bit of hypocracy there

Independence will help Somali Galbeed escape the clutches of their occupiers, but who is Somaliland escaping from? Today the only one Somalis are escaping from anywhere outside of Ethiopia is abagandhe Muuse Bixiye. That should tell you everything.

She will survive, but siding with zionists and right-wing nutjobs/racists will harm Somalis including the so-called Sland twitter soldiers.

I don't understand why anyone needs to blame her for a mere speech. The United States along with pretty much everyone on this planet already made it clear to the Xabashis that Ethiopia has no right to buy cheap land and sea from the despot in Hargeisa.

In all seriousness, Cigaal was a divisive, opportunist, and murderous politician, one of the worse misfortunes that could have befallen upon Somali politics, incl. that of SL at the time, [the] architect of the single City state political quagmire currently dodging SL, but none of his accolades would admit to that.

Spot on. Cigaal was at the centre of the Habro conflict in the 1990s. If he was given the leadership he would have recreated a despotic highly centralised dictatorship with Cabdilaahi Yuusuf who always wanted to be another Siyaad. We would have ended up with a mess just like the one we have got in Somaliland. I doubt non of the recent political advances made in the South like federalism would be possible if Cigaal and Cabdilaahi Yusuf succeeded in their endeavour.

Xaaji knows this 'MoU' stinks to high heaven, but he would like to convince himself otherwise. I have never seen anyone willing to give away what their ancestors fought so hard to keep.

And still Xaaji supports the one responsible for this disaster unconditionally!!

The land that is being rented out to Ethiopia isnt their tribal territory

so reer awdal dont have to worry about a thing

Whether it is their clan territory or not, why is this MOU not in public domain for scrutiny? Why is there no consultation with the citizens living on the affected areas? Who gave Muuse the right or authority to enter into an agreement of this kind with anyone without getting sufficient advice on the matter and following the democratic procedures agrees upon?

    what is causing it? why?

The Ethiopians can't pay the interest on the  billions of dollars they already owe. No one will give a bankrupt entity anymore loans. The endless internal strive is having a serious impact on Ethiopia's economy.

Worse is Xabashiland that goes straight to Soomaali cities without first visiting the country's capital. To them, Soomaaliya waa iska gobol gaar ah.

No Somali traveller would fly with an airline that makes a million different stops.

  12. 21 hours ago, Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar said:

It is 'very successful' because millions of Soomaalida are flying with it. I have always refused to fly this Xabashi airline as a principle. Never did it once, albeit it being a direct flight to Toronto straight from Adisababa.

Soomaaliya waa dalka kaliya diyaarad qaran lahayn. Liibiya, Yeman, Afgaanistaan, Burundi, Suuriya iyo dalalka kale caalamka - dal walba diyaarad qaran leeyahay. Not Soomaaliya, waa yaab yaabkeeda.

All these airlines from Xabashada, Kiikuuyada, Imaaraadka, Qadar, Turkiga, Ugaandha, Jabuuti dalkeena waa iska imaadaan, bilaa kantarool. Worse is Xabashiland that goes straight to Soomaali cities without first visiting the country's capital. To them, Soomaaliya waa iska gobol gaar ah.

This is not sustainable oo dhaqaalihii ummadda Soomaaliyeed shisheeye iska aruursanaayo. Soomaalida, being a hugely diaspora community, fly higher proportion than than all these neighbouring countries' citizens.

Dowladda shirkadaha waa weyn - sida Jubba iyo Daallo - wey ku qasbi kartaa midoobaan and create a single flagship national airline, taking a public share as well.

A lot of the European carriers are entirely in private hands. I know British Airways belongs to a mostly Spanish company called IAG.

The airline is not wholly owned by Ethiopia with two of the largest shareholders, majority stakeholders, being !sraelites. It is managed and run by an !sraeli company.

This airlines could be passing all over personal data to Mosad.

There is a conflict brewing, and reer Awdal have been arming themselves to defend themselves from marauding Bixiye militias. Do you think they are interested in pseudo elections? I'll let Galbeedi speak to that.

I am dying here trying to reason with you, mate. All right, let me try as if you were a six-year old: SL was stable. Bixiye came along. Invaded Sool. Shelled mercilessly the city of Las Anod for 8 months massacring thousands most of whom women, elderly and children. Forced more than  300,000 people flee their homes. On other fronts, he started conflicts amongst communities starting with GXJS pitched against H Awal, then H Jeclo, and then turned State weapons on GXJS. Engulfed the whole region in war.

Now, let me repeat: what is the textbook definition of a tyrant? " a ruler who has unlimited power over the state / people, and uses it unfairly and cruelly".

by all definitions, in any right-thinking minds, Bixiye is the terrorist tyrant!

    I give up!

You failed to mention the witch hunt of journalists, the jailing of anyone who criticises him, his unelected gangster criminal sons using state resources to terrorise citizens, the killing of protesters, the harassment of private businesses for shares and cuts, etc, etc. It is not the term extension XX keeps talking about, all the previous presidents had extentions and we had no problems at all, but it is the sheer monstrosity of this arsonist tyrant which is new to us.

Muse Bixiye didn't reach the monumental agreement with Abiy if there was no guarantee of him staying in power.

You are absolutely right Che, this despicable tyrant wants to use the Xabashis to subjugate us for him. He is planning to give away both our country and freedom. It is just unbelievable.

  16. XX never learns a thing from history. The kacaan government was brought down by angry militias in the bushes, Muuse and his minions were chased from Laascaanood by an angry and justified armed rebellion by the locals. No nation can hold together without the willing participation of all its constituent parts. We saw that in the Somali Republic prior to 1991 and we see the same in Somaliland now. Xaajiyow, what will you tell us here when the crazy man you support destroys what is left of Somaliland? Somaliland could be a nation when everyone was willingly onboard but now who has an appetite to live under the tyranny of the current rogue regime? Have you guys got a Plan B you can rally on if sh!t hits the roof? Or is your Plan B the Ethiopia's invasion and annexation of our country?

Muse and ina kahin have been only in power for the past 7 years what is this  jeegan u speak off after the habar habar civil war didn’t we make peace to hold one man one vote elections . Didn’t ina cigaal Made peace with his maternal uncles. Wasn’t the rayaale the president of somaliland weren’t the hy not shakers and makers of his government. Just because muse won over ciiro doesn’t make him a bad leader surely muse has his. Short comings absolutely he should have credible advisers  to help him uplift the country . Do you think muses subclan  gained  anything from muse all the  qurbajoogs that wanted jaggooying he told them to F off. They thought he would be like siilaanyo and bring his  kith and kin. Having said that we shouldn’t divide each other among clans because people back home have the same problem whether they are form ceerigabo or gabiley Burco  hargeisa berbera .irregardless of clan .

muuse is not a messiah and he done alllot of bad policies like not contesting hawada somaliland against the bunker when failmaajo was the pressident of the bunker . But he did allot of good things to shaqo qaran all the previous hanti la dhacay wa so celiye haamah shidaalka berbera  lacagihi dowlada la iska cuni jiray wa joojiye.

the only bad thing he did was how he managed the whole laascanood conflict and i am the first  to say he should have  fired ina kahin daba gale Nuux tani all of them have failed and should be fired .

he held the elections parliament and deegaanka

for the first time somaliland paid 90 percent of the election. Missaniyadi way korordhay . Oil drilling is about to happen via genel and the tawainese company.

and last but  not least he made sure  somaliland get bilateral aid from at least four western countries no longer Sheeko bunker .

And I also love how he made the walanweyns huff and puff may seexan since the mou

but I think he should hold elections end this year hadi laga helo si nabad ah u wareejiyo  7 years is enough  now

Xaaji you seem not to understand what the issue is. For your information, I didn't care about the corrupt Riyaale government and I don't care about Cirro. In fact, I don't want to see Cirro or Faysal anywhere near a public office. They are all losers. The problematic issue we have is the mentality of HA and HJ. It is their feeling of entitlement. It is a mentality of wanting everything for yourself and nothing for those who share a country with you. It is what is causing everyone to abandon this 32 year old project.

Very sad, infiltration, invasion and cultural appropriation under full swing

This is well planned decades ago, and has some roots Somali doing injustices, grievances in Somali Galbeed, Somalia, Goojacade, some wiling to screw with Somalis and joined the enemy

I saw this coming a long time ago. I knew its only a matter of time before Jigjiga also goes the way of Diridhaba and other lost Somali cities. Believe me, this scenario will again replicate in Goday, Dhagaxbuur, wardheer, Gaashaamo, and every other town and village in the state. Somalis made the biggest mistake when they moved their capital from Diridhaba to Jigjiga. This is not a sovereign state where the capital needs protection from external forces. On the contrary, keeping the capital of the Somali state in Ethiopia on the periphery would have protected the interior.
