  1. Bismilah Asalamalaykum Jamaal, I have my own computer at home, I don't use public computers. It's also worth to know that I am the only one who uses my computer. Jezekelah khayr for your input brothers and sisters, I pray that Allah guides that person. How do I pm the admin? Can the admins also find out who that person is? Allah knows FeeAmanaAllah
  2. Asalamalaykum Hasna, Alhamdulilah I've been married for 3 months now, but not to the person I was intending at the time I started this thread which was last year, and Yes incase your wondering whether its a revert to islam May Allah grant you all pious spouses ameen. FeeAmanaAllah
  3. Bismilah Asalamalaikum InshaAllah I hope that this reaches you all in good Imaan. Someone has put a very shameful website in my profile on sol, where it says "your homepage. I feel very offended and upset about this. I don't know how anyone could have gotten access into my account and placed that website there. InshaAllah I hope that the person who did this will stop and fear Allah. It's obviously someone who wants to ruin my reputation here. Is it possible for the moderators to help me? I am more then happy to quit coming to this forum if this injustice against me should continue. FEAR ALLAH, while you are busy bringing me shame that I do not possess. To be honest, I don't feel comfortable posting on this forum , after I've learned that someone is getting access in my account and putting a webpage there that I have never put there. Please let me know if you can stop this, or else like I said I am more then happy to leave this site. Asamalaykum FeeAmanaAllah
  4. Asalamalaykum Nur May Allah bless you Brother. You truly are a light in the darkness. I just saw this thread for the first time, don't even know how old it is. This is me Lateafah I've been away for quite a while, lurking around every now and then but not posting. But I thought to say salam to you Nur and everyone else. FeeAmanaAllah, and Congrats on earning the title "moderator" I think you deserve it . May Allah continue to guide you and all muslims ameen. I'm glad you left that place you reffered as "somalinet".
  5. Asalamalaykum InshaAllah Sister don't call her a witch, she's already earning enough bad deeds by making your difficult as you "claim". Don't join her and become like her. Sometimes when things go wrong it's best not go with the wrong. Be Patient, Allah is with those who have patience. This might as well just be a test from Allah testing your Imaan and sabr. Honour her as you would honour your own mother. Be kind to her and humble Who knows this might soften her heart, and you two might become friends. Remember also that she'll be the grandmother of your dear child one day inshaAllah. I'm sorry if I just keep rambling but sometimes harshness and meaness are best defeated with mery and not competecy. ps: check your pm Your Sister in Islam FeeAmanaAllah
  6. Asalamalaykum blowing yourself up is completely and utterly different to going into an army on your own fighting.. in one situation, you die at your own hands.. in the other you die at the hands of the enemy, whilst fighting them. Allah(swt) clearly lays out the conditions of fighting "those who fight you"..and I have not read anywhere in the Quran or Sunnah that killing yourself i.e DYING AT YOUR OWN HANDS.. is permissible if the even if the intention is to kill "the enemy". So far all the half-heated attempts at justification on this thread I have read have been really disappointing and tiresome. Yet the Quran.. speaks for itself... as clear as day.. and lets not pretend half of the person's intention isn't to kill himself.. he wants to die as much as he wants to kill "the enemy".. because he thinks thats matyrdom and wants his cosy place in Jannah right? but he dies at HIS OWN HANDS.. Tell me how that ISN'T destruction at your own hands.. and I want to see Quran or Sunnah or nothing please. Because these flimsy excuses don't stand up, I'm afraid. And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith. But if they cease, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression. The prohibited month for the prohibited month,- and so for all things prohibited,- there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, Transgress ye likewise against him. But fear Allah, and know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves. And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good. (Quran 2:190-195) if you read the first verse, you will see the mention of "fighting in the cause of Allah" ..and then this is echoed in the last verse quoted above,(to emphasize the "subject" of these verses.. i.e fighting jihaad).. where Allah(swt) says spend of your wealth in the "cause of Allah" and then "make not your own hands contribute to your destruction!" but instead do GOOD, for Allah(swt) loves those who do good. Think about this people.. it is SO CLEAR.. Allah(swt) is saying spend of your wealth in His way.. for jihaad.. but do not cast yourselves to destruction.. it doesn't take a genius to apply this to the modern day situation.. yes the Muslims are poor in Palestine etc.. but Allah(swt) is telling us to invest in jihaad, invest.. spend our wealth in the cause.. i.e don't resort to that which is wrong (suicide) but instead work on building up resources, building armies, building weapons... invest your wealth in that.. but do not cast yourselves to destruction! SO CLEAR. why are there any differences of opinion on this..? the Quran deals with the issue in these 6 verses.
  7. Asalamalaykum Don't worry guys, she'll join the lurker crew, which I am a leader of on a more serious note just would like to say to Tamina, that I'll miss her InshaALlah. May Allahs protection be with you ameen. FeeAmanaAllah ps: hurry back the islam section will miss you
  8. Salam Bambina As far as your second question is concerned, Islam does not allow what we have come to call “dating”. Islam values chastity for both men as well as women. Islam acknowledges the fact that a young man and a young woman can naturally feel attracted towards each other. It also acknowledges the fact that if this attraction is allowed to be gratified without setting any limits, it can easily destroy the whole social structure that Islam wants to promote. Islam does not approve of intimate mixing of the sexes, and forbids premarital or extramarital sex. Islam encourages marriage as a shield to such temptations and as a means of having mutual love, mercy and peace. Keeping the above explanation in perspective, it should be quite clear that Islam does not allow what we, in the present day have come to call “dating”. “Dating”, therefore, seems to be against the very essence of the teachings of Islam. There is nothing wrong with getting to know each-other but thats by guarding ur chastity, lowering you gaze, and considering your modesty, and if possible having a mahram, is a way you could go about it InshaAllah. Ma'Salama
  9. Salam Modesty well said sis Muslim women's dress (Hijab) as stipulated by the Shari'ah (Divine Law) of Islam. The term Hijab, includes not only dress and covering the body, but methods of behavior before members of the same and/or opposite sex, promoting privacy for females and prohibiting loose intermingling between males and females, and thereby encouraging modesty, decency, chastity and above all, respect and worship of Allah. Allah Ta'ala says: "And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts from sin and not show of their adornment except only that which is apparent, and draw their headcovers over their necks and bosoms and not reveal their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women (i.e., their sisters in Islam), or their female slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants free of physical desires, or small children who have no sense of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah altogether, O you Believers, in order that you may attain success.[An-Nur, 24:31] O Prophet, Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their outer garments about themselves (when they go out). That is better so that they may be recognised and not molested. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. [Al-Ahzaab, 33:59] Those above paragraph are the Quraan and the Islamic law. If you dislike it then it's between you and your ALLAH but don't say that Hijab is not wajib because it really is. FiamanaAllah
  10. AsalamaALaykum Ina-lillahio-wa-ina-ilahai-raja-uun May Allah forgive his sins and save his soul from the hell-fire Ameen. May Allah subhanAllah wa'ta'ala grant your family and you sabr and Imaan to over come this Loss. Death Is Haq. We'll all go through that stage when our soul will be taken out of us, May we work for what awaits us in the hereafter ameen. FiamanaAllah
  11. AsalamaAlaykum Nur Brother MashaAllah Jezekelah kheeran for the Amazing poem. Your messages are greatfully and appreciatively recieved. May this find you well and safe. 12. 4get-me-not Salam Ya Ukthee The feeling is mutual My sista. What can I say Things like that happen. People are unequally born and different. The first thing, we all should learn is the capacity to tolerate our differences. I don't see that happening any day soon just through experiences. SubhanaAllah. I don't think that somalis will ever accept me as one of their own. Thats why I don't have any intentions of going back there or in the future raising my children there ( Thats If ALLAH ever gives me any) .
  13. AsalamaAlaykum Nur what you wrote brought tears to my eyes. I know what I would be leaving behind now if would've left, I don't want to go anymore. I think Shouldn't have lost my sabr so soon. I only wanted to protect my eyes because that seemed all that I could do But I know now that I can express myself in every way that I can possibly can and should've too. (ofcourse islamicly) . That your real salvation lies in continuing dawa work regardless of the evil you see and hear, becaue Like Allah told prophet Muhad SAWS in Suratul Jinn " Say ( O Mohammad) No one will rescue me from Allah"( Punishment unless I continue) in representation of ( Allah) and relaying of his messages" Thats so true SubhanaAllah. May this Jihad be a successful one InshaAllah. I decided to stay for the sake of ALLAH and my bothers and sisters in islam. I hope that we can all grow closer to islam and keep the haram away InshaAllah. Abaayo Lateefah.. all these nomads love you for the sake of allah, Please dont let them down, just rethink your decision… Brother Darmen To me My brothers and Sisters in Islam out-weighed all the bad i've read with eyes. Thats why I am staying because I value their word very highly. Salafi I am back home, and I am not going anywhere InshaAllah Bless you! FiamanaAllah and jezekalh kheeran Nur
  14. Asalamalaykum again Well after a few nights sleep I decided to stay. Many of my lovely brothers and sisters in islam encouraged me to stay. I ask ALLAH'S blessings upon you all ameen & the moderators too. Some have misundertodd me as it seems, I didn't say that I had anything against the Islam section never have I ever came across antyhing that made me feel bad in the islam section. I mean the other forums. When I first came here on S.O.L i came here to increase my Islamic knowledge and learn alittle more about my somali culture because i am half somali. Those were the things i wanted to gain and benefit from. Not how hot& cool it is to have a " Piercing" In someone's lip and some other topics i cannot mention. Latefah....I'm sorry to hear that you will be leaving us...If I am one of the people who's posts have offended you then I pray that you will forgive me. SubhanaAllah No u have never offended me in any way whatesoever. Please do forgive me if I ever said or done something to someone. King thank's for bringing that msg up. It is indeed many things that are going on todays answers. FiamanaAllah, Love you all for the sake of ALLAH , I hope that we can all make this place a better one by avoiding the haram and keeping the halal. If we cannot achieve that then we'll have to protect our eyes atleast I guess thats the only thing in our power. Masalama
  15. Asalamalaykum May this reach you all in the best of Health and Imaan. Well, I just thought to give my HeartFelt Goodbye to everyone from the Islam Section because the Islam section was where i felt like home most of the time I've been on S.O.L Alhamdulilah. There are some people whom i'll miss greatly manily for ALLAH'S sake. Well thats All i wanted to say My sisters and Brothers In Islam. One of the reason I decided to stop coming to S.O.L is because of some people's unIslamic ways. I think i should be careful what i read with my eyes willingly because i'll be judged for it on the judgementday. FiamanaAllah ya Muslimeen, May Allah bring you all closer to Islam.

AsalamaAlaykum Ya muhajaba, Why hate us sis? It's not good to be like that. Please learn your history reer hamars have been around just aslong as all the other tribes have been around therfore they are somali!!! Not good to judge like that my sista in islam. Besides wish your brother well and welcome your new sister in-law-to-be in to the family. InshaAllah know that you are wrong. Just put urself in the girl's shoes. How would you feel if you were the girl in this case and me you? To be rejected only because of your tribe? you'd feel very sad. you don't want to be one of the reasons why the world getting to be a horrible place to live ( for some for sure ). Masalama

  20. Thanks for that Muna_Muslimah222, Jezekelah kheeran. It carries a Very important message MashAllah. The Glorious Qur’aan, Sura: 11. (16) Whosoever desires the life of the world and its glitter, to them We shall pay in full (the wages of) their deeds therein, and they will have no diminution therein. (16) They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but Fire, and vain are the deeds they did therein. And of no effect is that which they used to do.
  21. Salam MuslimSis I'm sorry about the previous link it had some music instruments. This is for you sis. I hope that you don't have to stop this time InshaAllah. It's a good site MashaAllah. Enjoy! Allah Hafiz
  22. Salamalaykum Originally posted by : Darman they are more religious and pious than the rest of the nomads, AstaqfuruAllah. You have no right to make a such claim my brother. You don't know who is more pious and who is less pious. The fact is that you don't know none of these people you've mentioned personaly. So to make a such strong judgement according to "just" what you've read of them is not right. I wouldn't have said that if you knew them personaly. Let me know if you do know them, than i'll be the wrong one InshaAllah. There is nothing as visible to you as much as it is to ALLAH. Let Allah judge!! FiamanaAllah
