Dawladda Somaliland oo Go’aan ka Gaadhay ka Qaybgalka Shirka London
Carafaat replied to Siciid1986's topic in Politics
Oodweyne, I think we both want Siilanyo to do an demand the same which is what people want and have elected him for. But the question is will the outcome and thus the int community and Somalia's actors give us what we want unconditionally? I don't think so, for they have also their own interest at heart. And thus one should explore the possibilities of a compromise or a thirdway, and this is where you and I might disagree upon. You might be somewhat more princibal and say, we walk away and I say that every step forward is good for the people. How small that step even might seem. And that is also what people have lected him for, no to be principal but to create added value. -

xiinfaniin;784729 wrote: This conference has the potential to make Siilaanyo statesman... I agree. Siilanyo Presidential legacy will be determined by the kind of relationship Somaliland and Somalia will have. Oodweyneh, political compromises are seldenly celebrated in the streets and whatever Somaliland and Somalia agree upon, neither will loose all or win all. And only time will tell if te compromise was a set in the good direction, which they mostly are. -
Samafal;784506 wrote: Carafaat, the problem is not the two admins and if today Galkio becomes under one admin nothing will change unless there's complete demobilisation of freelance miltias that roam in and around the city and tackling the root causes of the problem which is scarce resources. But it will become worse in my opinion due to the mistrust between those two communities. Added to this, is the problem of Alshabab who wants to instigate clan war so as the place becomes lawless in order to become a launchpad for their misguided Jihad against Puntland, Galmudug, Ahlu Sunna wal Jama and even Somaliland. You said you hate Galkio? I love Galkio is one of the best places to live in Somalia, try it. Besides people who say there are alot of people killed in Galkio have no information about the city. Galkio was peaceful in the last 19 years of Somalia's civil war, except few skirmishes that happen here and there compared to Mogadishu, Kismayo and Beletweyne. It was only in the last 2 years there has been ocassional killings and disruptions. Samafal, you are justifying the current status quo of separate admins in One City with the argument, that it will create mistrust to create one admin. Sxb, the intention of creating one admin is to cooperate, to build trust and to unite on a common goal. Therefor your argument is invalid. Little Resources? There is more trade going on in Gallkacyo then most other cities, that can't be an argument not to unite. Abwaan, I agree.

Burn Notice;784738 wrote: Keep hating dude..let the envy consume you What have YOU done to help your people back home? Rhetorical question so don't bother answering as I doubt very much apart from being a cyber hero on these sites Burnt Notice, brother I am not hating. I have strong doubts on the "business case" of this project and who will eventually profit and who will loose. That there is oil is not in question. That Range Resources has an exploration contract with Puntland is neither my biggest concern. That there will be a big oil company that will produce eventually oil is neither my concern or that it will buy-out Range Resources contract. But my concern has to with the way Range Resouces has been propagating this project(actually only a exploration conctract) and creating a bubble in order to keep raising funds on the market through its listed stocks. Shares that were intially worthless(or had little value) have been pumped up with a lot of PR, making sure many Somali's bought these shares creating a stock market bubble, so few individuals from Range can sell their wortless shares during the piek. After earning millions eventually the share price will again restore close to its initial real value and many folks who bought these shares during the piek, will loose.

1993 Borame Conference EXPOSED: It Was Never About Secession
Carafaat replied to IAmRevolution's topic in Politics
Both the Burco and the Borama Conferences were momentus historical moments for they laid the foundation for peace, self-determination and the current Somaliland goverment. This should not be denied. But it doesn't mean we can't create new roads and create new momentus happenings that build further upon those historical ones. One doesn't need to deny history or achievements to want To build further. We should build Somaliland further, make it stronger and build further on foundations that our ancestors have made during history. -

SOMALIA: Mortality rates among world's highest in Somaliland
Carafaat replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Freedom;784467 wrote: Duke stop with this cheap shot if you upset with Somaliland and its government one thing but bring this story for political points makes you sick. What are the ills in your punt land huh He wouldn't know. Cause there is hardly any data or a Unicef office in Galkacyo or the rest of Somalia. -
Abtigiis,in Ethiopian I have witnessed that when people die. Proffesional mounrers come to the funeral and they cry as loud as possible. So death of more important people is noticed and the mourners receive payment according to the loudliness of their crying during the funeral. Tell us more about this strange funeral customs.

But I really don't get what Blue sees in KoW and why she is obvious with her feelings towards him. The Somali girls I know, aint that direct and obvious. Laakinse Blue wee isku dhiiibtay KoW. A bit un-Somali if you ask me.

Gooni, Generaalka ha la yaabin. Dagaal aan dhaamanin ayuu ku jiraa. Dagaaladi qabiiil wee dhamadeen, lama kala badin. Caqli maha inaa maanta u doodna maamul sare oo Somali dhan ka wada shaqeyso, dhinaca kalena aanu ogolaano magaalo laba maamul leh. Oo waxa noogu daran hadii lagu daydo. Iminka Beletweyn dhoor maamul ayaa sheeganiya, ka waran yaga oo ku dayda Galkacyo?

Somaliland to pass central bank law within 3 weeks: cbank
Carafaat replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Wallahi, if the goverment losses to set-up a proper div of the Central Bank that control's the financial players. Then Somaliland will definetlyo become private property. This isn't only about safety of people's savings, its also about Currency control and thus who controls the whole monetary economy. -
Classic Abtigiis, softening and preparing folks didn't start with the British but already 1,5 year ago, after the elections the goverment anounced that its main Foreign Policy focus wasn't seeking recongnition anymore but economic development, dhirta waqoyi were allowed to come back, Somaliland started in participating in Somalia meetings organized by UN. Remember Min of Health during WHO annual meeting with TFG Minister. SL politicians know what they are doing and how to serve their people, protect their interest and make sure there isn't any distance between them and their electorate.

Somaliland should send diplomatic apologies to Galmudug.
-
Gooni, that is exactly my point. Ridiculous that murderers can just escape to the other area without prosecution. Magalo kasta dagaal wu ka dhacay, oo macaa qaar baa dadku ka wada qaxeen. Xalku maanta maha 2 ama 3 maamul oo bilaa awood ah. Peace Action, check the thread on Western Puntland State.

Duke, no Somali's hate eachother and there are no more clan wars in Somalia. Still you keep ignoring my point about having one local administration, one security forces, no more diffrent clan's controlling entrances for Galkacyo and Mudug. You seem to be content with the current situation. 3 clans controlling a section of the town, that it is unacceptable and a shame and people are fed up with it. All these assinations and none of the clan admins that can really step up and do something against the insecurity and assasinations. Goverments first priority is security and safety and Galkacyo and Mudug is on the loosing side. I understand you "control" the bigger parts of town, but to reason to advocate for a divided city. Berlin Wal has fallen 23 years ago, we dont need a dust town divided by diffrent admins. Duke, the city of Galkacyo divided by diffrent admins is a shame to Somalia and to Puntland. Unity starts within the families, villages, towns and regions. United we stand, divided we fall. Cant understand you dont want to get that.

Abtigiis;784103 wrote: Bashing XINNFANIN for his support of my ideas regarding SL is absurd and petulant. We share the same political vision, we share the same political ideology. So why would he not support me? The scessionsts think they can't handle the two of us firing from the same side, and want to bully him into silence. That won't work. We are grown up, people. We have grown two hairs with different colours, and it is only the egalitarian construct of discourse in the internet that forces us to take insults from adolscents like Abokor, who are discovering their manliness through masturbation debut and the wart of growth in their face. You and Xiin, the same political ideology? You both want a central goverment for Somalia, who doesnt want that. That doesnt make it an ideology. You oppose the whole idea of Federalism and want a highly centralized State. Xiin is more pragmatic on Federalism and certainly support Puntland. Xiin consistently opposed foreign interventions by Ethiopia and Kenya, and even admitted favouring Al Shabaab above Kikuyu's. You supported the Kenyan's. Xiin doesnt seem to care much for clan rather sees it as a mean rather then an objective. He never boarded the Maakhir ship that never left the harbour, and as soon as there is an alternative ship for Puntland (Central goverment wihout a 4.5), he will be the first to create wreckage, jumb ship and burn the remains of the old Pirate ship. Abtigiis you seem to show some weakness for all the cousins of the block. Xiin's politics is based on variables and calculativs, you are driven by higher ideals(high up the family tree). So the only ideals that seem to unite you guys is the anti secessionist agenda, for Xiin doesnt even seem to mind Confederal model.

Sitting next to eachother to get a piece of the national pie is one thing. But sitting with eachother and talking about Uniting of one city is where it starts. Duke, if most Somali's learned one thing the last two decades is that genuine reconcialation is a bottem-up process and No central goverment in Muqdisho that can Unite the city for you top-down. That has never worked in the Somali case. I understand its a difficult issue but al Somali conflicts and issue's are complex to say the least. But denial, ignoring the issue nor closing our eyes will help. We have done that the past decades and it hasnt brought us anywhere except for some cheap propaganda picturing private homes. Its time to speak out. You say its not my concern nor my business? I say it is my concern and everybody elses. I am a Somali, born and raised in Somalia and yes it is my business. For to long we have been silenced and its time the silent majority speaks out and uses its leverage to break these little deadlocks that our brothers and si sters all over Somalia are holding eachother captive. You call me a minority there, well there are more folks who agree. And many minorities together make a majority. Somalia igama xigtid. Galkacyo share baan ku leeyahay waryaa, isku xafado ayaa dadkeenu wada dagnaa.

You don't need to ingratiate yourself with someone you like by humiliating another person, it's very artificial. Dr.Phil

Freedom;784327 wrote: The leverage Somaliland has is its reputation in the region. Somaliland only Somali speaking area with free political parties, two amazing elections seen by the world has free and fair and strong reputation for its conflict resolution skills. How on earth would the UK not want to have its former territory the most shining example of Democracy not there! Please come on that would be embarrassing for the UK. Please UK has large Somaliland Diaspora there too which is strong voting block as well. True that. Now lets hope it uses its leverage for the common interest.

Duke, dont you agree there should be one united city admin, one police force in the City of Galkacyo? How can you fight crime and assinations in a city wherethe diffrent security forces dont have jurisdiction in the whole city and cant do their jobs in the whole city. You should support the Unity of Galkacyo Duke. What is your leadership worth in Uniting Somalia when you dont even want to unite the city. I suggest a Galkacyo roadmap or else Garowe roadmap for Somalia, remains empty words.

General Duke;784253 wrote: Somalia, stop with the clannish nonsense. Also don't insult the people of Galmudug. Attack politician all you like, but be respectful of the people. Duke, I agree there should be one administration and security force in the city and in the region, an inclusive and divers administration serving the people of the city irrelevent of clan. We are working towards Uniting Somalia, there is no place for divided cities with 3 administrations, 3 police forces, 3 Mayors.

Abtigiis has an some magical influence on some folks. even if he wrote that Somaliland should be colonized by Ethiopia or should be sold to highest bidder, some would agree. Abokor, speak for yourself sxb. Abtigiis, doesnt hate SL and has some valid points but you are right his appoints sometimes get lost between legs of the females.Making it difficult to get it out of there, but that is his own wrong doing.

Moonlight dont cover up for the naked institutionalization, its the most shamefull thing ever. I rather have one city that is administratered and governed by Al Shabaab then one city with 3 diffrent administration. I want Galkacyo to leave Somalia and come under Al Shabaab or Ethiopian control, better then the current situation.
