I'm thinking of going there myself. I have plenty to say to Yeey and Geedi and the Ethiopian 'observers'
-
Well done to the AK party!

People here in SL have been joking that the guys at the meeting were truck drivers who just happened to be in Bosaaso and Galcayo last week. Now they are our clan representatives?? Still need those names Dukow,,,
-
^^Saxib, I'm not saying Burcaawis have more Somalinimo in them than people from other cities but one needs to recognise 'real' Somalinimo when its presented rather than the empty and hypocritical nationalistic chants we have seen here on SOL over the years. The miseducation of the 'nationalist' needs correcting. He is a man to be admired. If only there was more of his likes around we may not be in this mess.

One point that will prove my case to you is that the 'conference' boasts the presence of tribal elders from Somaliland. Do we have the names of these guys?

They are safe saxib. The waxa la yidhi news is usually not very reliable and reer Burco are usually welcoming (contrary to what you might hear/read). In fact we have a gentleman by the name of Abdulxakiim working in this here hotel. He works the laundry and mans the reception for a couple of hours before the bus takes him home at 5pm. The place is teaming with wadaado though Mashallah. Both Friday sermons have been on qaad and 'tahbiib'.

^^Burco!

Awoow, I havnt seen anything to suggest a change in the Burcaawi phsyche. More complaints about the govnt not doing its bit outside of Hargaisa but thats about it. SL colours are still everywhere to be seen in the cities and along the artery roads to and fro. Met and chatted with a few southerners here. Some are working and some were displaced in April. Their views would be of interest to some people on these here threads I tell ya

Xanthus, Its July. What did you expect?

^^Enjoying it very much so far. Havnt heard any gun shots so far and no need to carry any 'hub'. An improvement. Many NGOs present and that seems to be benefiting the country (however small). Can you believe people are actually registering their guns??
-
I see JB still hasnt managed to furnish us with anything yet in his latest to attempt. A case of pick an article and run with it miyaa? Oh well, do carry on,,,,,,,,,,

Hello all. Hows everyone doing? Got back from Hargaisa yesterday, had a swim in Berbera and back for a cousin's wedding

^^LoL There is a German couple currently staying at the same place as I am. They get picked up in the morning and come back at Maqrib. They work for a German NGO who supply/educate reer miyiga on how to grow crops. I have actually noticed Burco is less dangerous than a few years ago. Long may it continue IA Had a tour of Burco university earlier today,,,

Well I'm in Burco enjoying the food, the weather and plenty of sleep! So far its been very enjoyable meeting family and friends. Alot of reer UK are here and I'm bumping into friends who are here on a mission. They want to participate in the game of 'two wifery' Come across Europeans, Arabs and West Africans so far. Usually from one NGO or another. Still alot of poverty around and not much progress in terms of govnt expenditure. I'll touch on all that another time. Heading to Hargaisa in the early hours and will meet JB in the afternoon IA. Time for a mean steak topped off with some caano geel

Naden Question: When was it 'discovered' that the earth and sky were multi-layered? The educated brothers you seem only too happy to be-little are correct in that the Quran has much science only to be 'confirmed' through the research sphere. The challenge for Al-Naggar, Harun, and Al-Suweidan is very simple. Find a scientific fact from the Quran (call it a miracle for the psychological comfort of the simple Muslim). Write about it in the form of a journal article, and then submit it to peers. I'm sure they already have. But i'm also sure the 'enlightened' refuted a multi-layered earth and sky before it was 'scientifically' confirmed JB Norf and Nomadique, your questions fall under Naden's charlatan comment, and that sums up my point of view . In other words you dont have the answeres to our questions and are relying on Naden to carry you. Dont worry we know who the charlatan is

Catch you all on the rebound. No xalwa, no subag, no muqmad and deff no qaad will be brought back for any of you peace and out!
