    WHY

Im a brother! The name Ameen means trustworthy and I hope that Allah, the Majestic and Most High will cause me to live up to it (inshAllah) But thanks for the kind words and may Allah place all of you in His mercy
  2. It's not even like me to listen to Nasheeds or anything BUT this one made me reflect on the creation of Allah. Mash'Allah it was nice. May Allah reward you.
  3. Assalam alaikum I miss Khalid Yasin and his style of "reaching out" to the Muslim community. May Allah preserve him and put barakah in his speechs (wherever in the world he may be). Wa alaikum assalam

Alhamdulilah that Allah has made us Muslims. Personally...Its been awhile since Ive looked at this thread and alhamdulilah I learned so much from it...as for Surah Al-Balad, I love it. I find myself reciting the last few ayaats in that surah so often. May Allah make us among those that act according to His commands.

  7. The wisdom behind Allah's Laws are beyond most peoples ability to comprehend and thats why they focus so much on the criminal aspect of the Sharii'a and have nothing but negative things to say about them. I think we can all agree that anyone who commits a criminal act should get punished for it (and believe me, the punishment of this world is nothing compared to the next but most of us cant understand that) nevertheless, lets take Zakat as another example of the sharii'a and lets assume that every Muslim was paying their Zakat. If that was the case, than there would be no starving Muslims in the World and since there are 1.6 billion (and counting) Muslims in the world, we would be able to feed a large population of the world but unfortunately thats not current case. Many people who are DEMANDED to pay zakat under Allah's Law dont and although they may not, do you think that they could stand in front of Allah and say, "no Islamic State and therefore I didnt pay my zakat" Oh NO they wont but in reality that money which they held back will be wrapped around their necks and the rest is history. The point is, we cant pick a chose what severs our desires from the Laws of Allah and although Pakistan or Arabia or any of these so-called Muslim countries don’t practice the sharii'a to its fullest, it’s doesn’t mean you can feel safe from the punishment of Allah. Stand for justice until the Day comes when you (and I) will be held accountable for not doing our part to serve Allah.

  10. Wa alaikum assalam my brother Khalaf and how are you doing? Inshallah everything with you and your family is good and perhaps I did misunderstand Viking and if that’s the case, I don’t feel nothing in my heart when it comes to admitting a mistake and Allah knows best. Originally posted by Khalaf: however they are contrary to the ways of Islam dont u think? Do u think they are following the method of prophethood scw? Indeed we are living in a time where the governments are corrupt and the people are too weak and lack the Eman to stand up and say, "enough is enough". But inshallah I can almost see victory in the distance coming our way so I have been patient with the corrupt governments to this point, so I think, heck...I don’t think...I know the time for change is coming ever so close. I don’t really concern myself with the wrong they (as the leaders of the land) do because Allah has made their position in the land as a means of test for them and as it looks to us from the outside, it appears they are following desires and not serving the rights of Allah in the country in which they have been entrusted with. If only they understood the responsibility that comes with their position, I don’t think any of them would rush to sign up but many of us don’t understand. For sure they are not following the example of Muhammad (saw) and they will be questioned about that. Its shameful to say, our leaders hearts are full evil and corruption that has caused them to follow their own desires and forget about the rights of the people. Which reminds me of something Umar (ra) said during his time as the Leader, "how can I sleep during the day when the people have rights over me and how can I sleep during the night when Allah has rights over me", which basically shows us that he understood the seriousness of the matter of being given the position of Leader. And Allah knows best
  11. Mashallah this is thread is turning out to be a hot one . Sister Hayam, I personal took the time to read brother Tarik's work and reading his work, I would recall the words of the Salif when he said, "examine carefully the speech of everyone in your time" and I would keep that in mind as I reviewed his work. Subhan'Allah we are all Allah's creation and sometimes we agree on some matters and other matters we don’t see eye to eye but one thing we should all recognize is that Allah and Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (saw) are the only ones who could order us to live our lives a particular way and in saying this, I must ask, how do you feel about those who speak about reforming Islam? Are there such things as a moderate Muslim and if so, who is a moderate Muslim? Don’t take the questions I ask or anybody else asks to heart, remember what the Prophet said about asking questions, for they are the cure for ignorance. And Allah knows best
  12. Viking, I understand that those two lads in Arabia may have (or may have not) experienced injustice by receiving the punishment, however, to delay or put aside for the meantime, one of the commandments of Allah, the Most-Great, should NEVER been done. Even if there is no legit Muslims country in the world today, could you really stand in front of Allah on the Last Day and say, "Ya Rabb, in my time, there were corrupt leaders and no (legit) Muslim country therefore a man amongst us subjected that we put Your commandment to the side, have mercy on us for You are indeed the Most Merciful”…could you really say that? No, you wont be able to. I don’t understand why so many people get confused by examples such as this. Many examples within the Seerah of the Prophet (saw), there were examples of the Mushrikeen trying to compromise with the Prophet (saw) in matters that have to do with religion such as the time the Muskriks came to the Prophet (saw) and asked him “worship our Gods for one day and we shall worship your God for one day” and so on and so forth. But Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (saw), never compromised with them in matters of religion because it is not him whom the religion nor the World belongs to but to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth. Remember when Allah said or the verse came down regarding this event, “…if we had not kept you (of Muhammad) firm, you would have nearly incline to them but a bit” so the scholars of Islam have said regarding this ayaat that inclining to the Kafirs a bit is a means of defeat. So many examples I can give you from the top of my head but the point is, I have read and visited Tairk Ramadan’s site and I have also read a few articles of his and once, I remember, I read an article of his and he (subhan’Allah) was bashing the scholars of Islam for the fatwas in which they give and he called them, “selfish means of expression” (Allah knows best) but it is not my job to bash him but I leave the matter to Allah to decide however, many students of knowledge have said, “STAY AWAY FROM HIM” and Allah knows best.
  13. ^^^^That is the reality on the situation of our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan but many of us don’t understand that. Don’t the Americans realize that history is just repeating itself all over again and they shall fall (as a nation) just like those before them. Inshallah, it is our duty to keep our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Somalia and the rest of the Muslim World in our duo’s. May Allah grant us victory

Subhan'Allah, I recently heard a sheik talking briefly about the reasons why we witness some many churches being put up for sale and for the most part, being converted into the Houses of Allah. He said, "our youth are committed to the House of Allah and run to fill the lines therein but in their case (the Christians) their youth have stop coming to their churches and they now lack the support (and dedication) of the coming generation..." (I don’t know if you fully understood what I just wrote) but after you reflect on it, a person realizes that victory is coming and the Muslims need to be patient (inshallah). And Allah knows best
  15. SUBHAN'ALLAH I thank Allah for His many blessings and I seek refuge with Him from the evils of myself and as for this thread, no comment.

Initially I thought to myself, these are words of a ____________(if you must know the last word, finish it yourself). However after thinking to myself and understanding the current day situation, the only conclusion I could make is, this (the problem in our Motherland) is happening to us because of OUR own sin. Allah is the Just and if we don’t change for the better as a people, than we will fail as those nations before us because Allah stands in no need of us, but we stand in great need of Him. As for Islam dying, NAY...you will die (and I will die) and Islam will rise. And Allah knows best
  17. Another slap in the face of the Believers and this will continue until we unite together and stand strong. But what do I know right.....? and Allah knows best
  18. Subhan'Allah, none of us should feel like an untouchable because our death could be waiting for us at the end of the hall. Which reminds me of the dou in which we ask Allah to make our last deeds the best of our deeds so that we may die pleasing Him inshallah. Thanks for the reminder sis and may Allah reward you for your efforts, aameen.

Obviously, I missed quite a bit Shame on you for going out the night before  , but I cant be one to talk cause perhaps, I did the same thing (but for the record, I didn’t stay out as late as you of course ) In regards to the morning session(s), I have to be honest so…its only fair that I mention, I had basketball playoff game at 9:30 am that I couldn’t miss due to a promise I made to my teammates (I know, I know, I should walk away from the dunya when it preventing me from my akhira, but a promise is a promise right? Besides, one of the characteristics of a hypocrite is that he breaks a promise when he makes one, so I couldn’t break this one ) But anyways, alhamdulilah we lost our playoff game (but don’t tell any of my teammates that I said that cause I wasn’t giving my 100% due to the fact that I was afraid we may win and I would have to stay even longer. But as soon as the final horn went, I was out the door faster than you can say, “what time does the Situation Room come on?” ) Due to the ball game, I missed the session on “Accusation” but alhamdulilah I got most of the notes and I knew the incident quite well but again, shame on you for staying out too late the night before…(just joking) but I hope your feeling a lot better tho. Now its time I share a little secret but don’t tell anyone ok? (especially my boys if you ever run into them ). When the shiek started speaking about the last days of the Prophet (saw) life, I felt like I was there. It really hit me for a second that we (the companions) were about to lose our messenger for good and so “the water in my eyes” started to form. The sheik spoke about the incident when the Prophet (saw) informed the wife of Jafar (ra) of his death and that led me to tighten my mujahid scarf even tighter, anticipating an all out “eman rush” (if you know what I mean). And so it happened, the same conclusion when the words of the Quran touch my heart directly or when I commit myself to the worship of Allah during Ramadan or when I sincerely stand in prayer during the last hours of the night. The same conclusion, the same out-come, the same result when the heart of man connects with its Lord. I realize that I am a slave of Allah and the Last Day awaits me on the other side, so I let the “eman rush” flow with ease. But that was than and now is now, (its my way of trying to say, Im a man lol) and fighters don’t cry. We stand on the front line, no emotion, no confusion, just straight focus and commitment to the Cause. I trust you (and the thousands of Sol that will read this) to not pass on my little secret. And Allah knows best
  20. Breakfast? I start my day by jumping in the shower and rushing through the door. Breakfast doesnt even cross my mind UNLESS of course during fajr salat my stomach roars and in that case, I got to send some food down the pipe
  21. Originally posted by JUSTICE: ^^ You making it sound as if muslims can do anything about it. If muslims were stronger, no one would have tried to do anything against us. Your right. If we united and stood as one strong structure, than we would be able to earn the respect that we deserve. Back to the face veil, Ameen, Aisha (aliha salam) wore the viel cause she already lived in a reigion were women were permitted to wear the face veil until this day. They wore it before Islam, which we could say is part of the culture. Actually, they the women of Arabia did not wear the veil that would cover their entire face before Islam (where did you get that from, I don’t know) and the proof for this is the incident regarding the scandal of Aisha and when the Muslim army accidentally left her in the behind and the Sahaaba who was trailing the army found her sitting alone in the desert. He recognized her due to the fact that he had seen her before the verse regarding hijab was revealed (as she stated when she narrated the story) which proves that women before Islam did not cover their entire face (and Allah knows best) Cause if it was part of the deen, we would have seen all Muslim women wearing it. There are different schools of thought regarding this and different scholars have different opinions but we know Islam doesn’t burden a person beyond their scope and Allah knows best regarding the correct opinion. Why are we trying to live the Saudi way?? its one of the most absured, rediculous way of living, where women have no respect and treated as second class citizens. If you wana wear veil or wahtever then go to saudia arabia and try their way of living, leave the west for the people who want to indulge in the land of democracy. , no comment and Allah knows best
  22. Subhan'Allah it seems that everyday when I awake, they seem to find another way to attack Islam. Now we got to the stage where they are passing laws and standing strong when its a matter of dress code. Who has the right to tell me (actually forget me but) who has the right to tell my sister (in Islam) how to dress? None Justice, covering yourself completely may seem odd to you and different but go study the Seerah of the Prophet (saw) and focus on the women of that time (who were stronger in faith than any of you) and you will notice that Aisha (ra) covered herself completely, so in reality wearing a face veil in NOT an odd act though it may seem to you. Peacenow, how could you say... “good move for the ministers” when it is clear they are fighting against the commandments of Allah. Like one man said, "trails will come one after the other and as more of them reach you, tell the people, its either you are on the side of the line or you are with us", which will it be? and Allah knows best
  23. Mash'Allah Cambarro, that was very well said and writen. There are alot of lessons that can be extracted from your post so may Allah reward you and us and guide us all to the straight path, ameen. And Allah knows best
  24. Assalam alaikum I suppose since the seminar is now over, I can reflect on the class with better understanding. Anyways...I once heard a man say, "it takes a real man to admit his mistakes" which leads me to say, I wanna take back some of those negatives comments that Ive mentioned above and thank Allah for the opportunity to learn about our Prophet (saw). This passed weekend was amazing and all Im left to say is, I need an encore. Let’s gather all those students again with the exception of maybe 148 sisters (just joking ) and do it all over again. Well since I probably won’t get that wish granted, Im left with one more option and that is, patience until next time. Where I can come into a class, take my seat and put my Mujahid scarf over my head and direct my focus towards the teacher. May Allah (alone) be worshipped and glorified and exalted until the Last Day and may He grant us the highest of levels in Junnah, ameen. And Allah knows best
  25. What am I gonna hear next, a man married four all at the same time (but I gotta to say, mashAllah)? I know the ratio of women to men is probably 3:1 or something like that and as the Hour comes closer that ratio will only grown, however, I must say...it must be "be very difficult" being a man living in this period of history where everywhere we go, we're outnumbered. and Allah know best
