  1. Asalamu Alaykum, I've just been notified that NBC reporter Peter Arnett, who also happens to be my favorite reporter has been FIRED by NBC president NEAL Shapiro(I think he is yuhud). The reason to this is because he was on Iraqi run television and he made a statement that the U.S and Coalition forces were taken aback by the resistance of the Iraqis. The reason I like him is because he is the only reporter that tells the news like it is, and he doesn't sugar-coat the pain of the opperessed victims. Obviously just like I perceived before, Bush controls the American News so that his own political agenda can sway public opinion. Peter Arnett was strongly opposed to the war, as alot of Americans are. He reported what the NEWS should be: Objective, not subjective. The price he paid for is he lost his job, but his voice wasn't silenced. Freedom of speech is a straight up SHAM, labeled in the constitution to give people peace of mind and that is not fair!
  2. Asalamu Alaykum, Nafta thanks for bringing up a good topic for discussion. Hijab or no Hijab? The reason for Hijab is not only to veil your figure from men, but to let your inner beauty be known. Allah gave muslim women orders that the hijab is obliged upon them. There are a lot of girls that decide to not wear the hijab because they say that they'll wear it when their old. However, let us not forget that death doesn't discriminate against age. If you wear a hijab, don't assume you're wearing just a piece of fabric, but let it radiate through your character. A man that perfers a woman who is not following the path of Allah, or the orders of Allah is not worth chasing. Don't ever think that because of your hijab that you aren't going to find a man, belief in Allah, and you will prosper in everything.Plus, the guys don't initially approach the sister with the hijab because they respect her too much perhaps. However, the hijab doesn't automatically make you a good muslim, but the deeds of your heart do and the taqwa show in the face
  3. ASALAMU ALAYKUM, Sis... you must be a philosopher...nice, meaningful sayings.
  4. Asalamu Alaykum, I appreciate the replies I've received. I just wanted to let it be known that Allah answers every dua from his servants, we just might not get it the way we want it, but Allah knows what we truly need. If you feel that you haven't received a dua answered yet, look around, and count the number of blessings you have around, and remember with patience comes help, and hardship comes ease. You all have my dua.

Asalamu Alaykum, Asalamu Alaykum, Our heart cries for Phalestine(I refuse to call it Isreal) and our heart cries for Masjid Al-Aqsa. Allah will repay the murderers and terriorists call zionists. Inshallah, the majority of the world is with the Brave people of Phalestine. Phalestine will never kneel down, because in Islam we only kneel down to Allah. May Allah take us to Jannah! Phalestine will rise from this brutal situation. May Allah help all oppressed people get the justice they deserve, Amiin. "When you have to truth, you have Islam."
  6. Asalamu Alaykum, I would like to thank Jidaaway for sharing the pictures of the oppressed people of Phalestine. Inshallah, our prayers our with the brave men and women of Phalestine who are martyred, who refuse to to kneel down to the cowardingly zionists(they need to go back to where ever they came from!). We Somalis feel their pain, as well as the whole muslim ummah, our distance might be far but our heart is near. May Allah take us to Jannah, and may the oppessors pay for what they have been doing to innocent souls for so long. I ask for forgiveness, and you have my forgiveness, and lets pray for justice.
  7. Asalamu Alaykum, I ask allah to make me a strong person, my duas are granted-I get all the servings of difficulties that make me strong. I ask allah for courage,my duas are accepted-I encounter all the dangers that cause me to have courage. I ask allah to make me rich, alhamdulilah my duas are answered- allah gives me wisdom, and gives me a good heart to show kindness towards others, I am rich. All praises are to allah.
  8. Asalamu Alaykum, There are three types of jihad that are all against evil. The jihad of action, where you pysically stop the tyrant. The jihad of words, where you speak against evil, and lastly the jihad of the heart, where you feel bad in your heart, that being the weakest form. So, the question is my brothers and sisters in Islam... is how can we take action? Let us follow islam the way Allah wants us to follow it, and we shall overcome all hardships. Inshallah.
  9. Asalumu Alaykum, "May roses grow where the martyrs blood was spilled."
  10. Asalamu Alaykum, I wanted to say that in Islam, we help ourselves first before we help non-believers. Allah said, let not the hate of others deviate you from the right path. Remember when prophet Muhammed(s.a.w)was stoned by the kufar, he didn't curse them, but prayed for them to see the light and for Allah to guide them. Plus, a lot of jews are converting to Islam.Lets not curse them, but since we have the truth, let us ask Allah to guide them.
  11. Asalamu Alayam, Dear brothers and sisters I want to say that we are so lucky to have this great religion called Islam. Allah said that the believing man, and the believing woman are superior than the non-believers. There was a time in history that non-believing women dressed like muslim women, unlike today. The hijab is fard, meaning it is obligatory upon the muslim women to wear it, and who doesn't is not practicing Islam fully. Men are supposed to dress modestly as well.Hijab is not just a piece of fabric, but who wears it must act upon it. That doesn't mean that you wear it just for impressing others, but for the fear and pleasure of Allah. Also, if a woman wear a hijab she must also wear loose fitting clothes that hide her adornments, and that she doesn't stand with man she isn't related to, laughing with them, for that is haram. My dear sisters, I know that this society we live in today sets standards for women for her to be accepted in society, and solely being based on her looks, and non-believers might shout names at you, and stare at you in disgust, but know that you are better than them because your heart is alive. But why can't non-believing women especially can't stand a veiled muslim sister? Ok, next time do this little experiment, when you are standing with a bunch of people and a beautiful woman walks by,everyone looks right. Well next time save yourself from this sin, but instead look at the people, you will see that even when the interest of the men faded from the debutante, the women are still looking. Why? because to the women she is a treat to them for men.BUT... when a veiled sister walks by you'll see nice girls shouting obcenities, because the veiled girl is a direct challenge to their whole womanhood. The veiled sister is doing everything the non-vieled woman is doing and getting a lot more respect from man. I heard a young girl say, the most feared in society is an articulate, successful sister with hijab, and there are a lot of sisters that haven't sold Allah's signs for a paltry price, and still are doing well in this dunya.
