  1. the ignorance is spreading... I've seen Somali youth who refer to themselves as "SOMALIAN" ticks me off
  2. what he "deserves".... I like that. Does that apply to you ladies too...that you should get what you deserve and not what you want?

  4. I had a converstaion with an old Canadian guy a few yrs ago about where I'm from...Seemed (key word) to be a well established literate guy... and he was talking about taking a safari and seeing wild animals and said something like "...but I'm sure when you were there you used to see them all the time". I didn't even miss a beat..."Oh yeah! you gotta be careful on your way to school, you can get picked off be a lion"... Hoping he'd see the humour in the commment (which he didn't) "is it really that bad?" he asked, "Yeah" I was on a roll "you can't sleep at night with out checking for snakes and scorpions". I left him with a "make sure you SEE them boil the water from the well...have fun".
  5. what's wrong with 2 am??? As a matter of fact the pics look better at night with all the lights and the city behind. An excellent "mise-en-scene".
  6. It was Ramadhan so time was a problem...I couldn't to too many places because there's afur soon (I'm not getting up early when I'm on vacation) besides I had too many relatives to see. So the night before I left it dawned on me that I hadn't seen anything so I hijacked a cousin (more like bribed him with some marduufs) to take me around...so off we went to Tower bridge at 2am...just as I'm posing to get a nice "city view" picture taken, scotland yards finest pull up. at that point I was expecting a simple "You can't take pics at this time, bugger off".... but NOOOOO... background check were run and I had to explain like 28 and a half times (while trying to resist the urge to ask "you think we're going to blow the thing up?") what we were doing on the bridge... Apart from that "homeland security" incident london was pretty good... p.s. The currency conversion from Can$ to Sterling pounds is just straight-up disgusting.

  8. does that tactic still work?
  9. Dubai is HOT.... The plane arrived in Dubai and the Captain goes "...the local time is 12:35 am and the temperature is 38 degrees..." I'm thinking slip of the tongue he meant 28 degrees...besides it's past midnight....I get out side the air-conditioned terminal and BAM!!!! I walk right into this invisible wall of heat, had to adjust my breathing quick before I passed out... once you get a hang of that then it's a beautiful place... you’ve been missed man...hope you enjoyed your tour...btw..while you were away some vicious "man eaters" took over the site.... and they are on a mission of hunting men and eating them alive… jso watch your back man... Thank's bro good to be back...BUT I'm not playing that game any more...peace, love and live and let live.
  10. You can't expect kids in the "1st" world to learn proper cultural traits if you won't spend time with them. Between 7 hrs in school, 3 hrs on a play ground, 4 hrs in front of the TV and 9 hrs sleeping where are they supposed to learn the essentials, Diin, Culture and manners. Since the young mind is a sponge for everything around it, I blame the parents for not being there to teach their kids what they need to know.
  11. So I finally got the chance to travel after 8 yrs of Canadian living. LONDON, DUBAI and NAIROBI... (Wow I need to get out more). All Very different, Very beautiful (except Eastliegh) and Talk about 4 (including Toronto) extremely different weather zones. Soory I didn't get a chance to look up any of the Local Nomads ( too busy doing "tourist stuff") Inshallah next time I'm out and about (soon) I'll looking in on some my peeps and see if y'all match the mental pictures
  12. I appreciate all the support. And I'll pray for all the Muslim people in this time of intixaan. Lets pray for the people of Fallujah and Iraq as a whole and the people in Somalia. And also the Muslim youth in North America and Europe. Again, Thank you all.
  13. Brothers and Sisters, Thank you for the support and the Dua's. Alxamdulillah I had the chance to be with Hooyo before her time was up. The greatest of all angels Jibraeel (AS) made this duaa: "Destruction be to that person who has one or both of his parents alive and (through failure to serve them) is not allowed to enter Jannah." The greatest of all Prophets, Muhammad (Sallallaahu Ãlayhi Wasallam) replied "Ameen" to this Du’aa. Concerning the mother the Hadith states: "Jannah lies under the feet of the mother." Concerning the father the hadith states: "Allah’s pleasure lies in the father’s pleasure and Allah’s displeasure lies in the father’s displeasure." Whilst these doors of Jannah remain open for us, let us make the best of serving our parents for we know not when their deaths will occur and thus close these doors of Jannah forever. TREAT YOUR PARENTS AS YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR CHILDREN TO TREAT YOU.

You girls need to stop trying to "b!tchify" your men. I use the word "b!tchify" cause I think it's more appropriate than feminize. But then again your name says it all - you lost your way. UD, u have been missed. Aeryn, I missed you too, sis.
  15. As you wish. you're dismissed. good luck with your Metro-sexual search. Peace out.

  17. Like Garab said "Wareer Badanaa" tartiib tartiib sida lagu socdo mar dhow waxaa soo qormayo "THE END". Faarax waxaa la arkey dheg udurantahay, markaas aa timaha loo dabey....hadana dozen long stem aa loo wadaa. You want to give Faarax something to show appreciation... do something useful for him. Go to his place and do his laundry or cook him some hilib. if he's one of those westernized guys then get him an oil change for his car or buy him a tie....
  18. Bronchitis ???? Now you're equating me to a disease? I know for fact you had a big stup!d smile on your face when you saw I was back. You don't have to confirm or deny that, that was your own special moment. no need to get overly defensive, when they said "A good defence is the best offence" this is NOT what they had in mind.

  20. DA, you and I keep appearing at the same time. Some people might get the wrong idea. That's how rumours start. Front if you want, you know you missed me.

  22. If you (the man) are going back for a legit reason she HAS TO GO with you... if she has a good reasons for not wanting to then those can be taken into consideration in the dicussions. If there are no reasons for her to refuse (other than her not wanting to be too far from the Mall), then you (the man) have the option to go on you own and maybe trade her in for a local Macaneey who knows how to get up at 5am to make sure you wake up to the captivating aroma of Canjeero and ber (MIGHT end up being the best choice you ever made...or not - either way, Live and Learn).
  23. Good to see you guys... ****good to see you ladies rolling your eyes in the background too*** Sxb qaska iyo qaylada waa iska dhaafey... I spent the past few months up in the Himalayas kickin' it with some monks.... it's amazing how the thin air up there and no CNN or hip hop can help you get in touch with your spiritual side. Peace and much love to all. ****now that everyone's sporting a new name might take some time to figure out who's who******
  24. Garab, rumours of my demise are greatly exaggerated. I see our lovely sisters here have nagged you into a fever....feebaro kulahaa??!!??
  25. on your way to Mathare??? Wazimu watafutana.... Birds of a feather....as it were.
