Deeq A. Posted January 15, 2018 MOGADISHU– Somalia’s minister for Posts, Telecommunication & Technology, Eng. Abdi Anshur, has issued a stern warning to private telecommunication firms that they will not use other country code rather than 252. This comes after Somaliland’s minister for posts said that plans underway to introduce new country code. Hon. Eng. Abdi Anshur has said that any firm which tries to introduce a new country code then it would face its negative consequences. The minister added that it would not be possible but if that happens then Somalia will take actions. Somaliland’s minister for posts, Hon. Abdiwali Abdilahi Suufi made the remarks during confirmation hearing at the parliament that short term plans of the ministry is to work the introducing of country code for Somaliland.
