Yesterday Al-Shabaab took over Laanta Buura in Shabeelha Hoose, which is few dozen kilometrs ftom were this ceremony is taking place., there is war going on in Puntland, yet they are talking about commandos. Malister, please use this so called " Danab commandos", to protect the President.

 

Someone told few years ago that just beofore the disbursement of the salary every charlatan general in Mogadishu assembles couple of hundreds of men for the camera , so the stooge Prime minister could see them. That corrupt general will collect and pocket the salary himself few more months before he was caught.

US commandos partnered with Somalis in anti-militant raid

 

(CNN)U.S. special operations forces and Somali commandos captured an undisclosed number of high-value Al-Shabaab figures during a joint nighttime raid on one of the terror group's camps, a Somali government spokesman said Wednesday.

When al-Shabab militants stormed the Somali parliament building on May 24, Gaashaan soldiers were quickly sent from their base at the Mogadishu airport to reinforce African Union troops. According to witnesses, the Gaashaan team fought the gunmen at the main gates and a key staircase, and helped to clear the building room by room.

When the fighting was over, eight attackers and a total of 10 Somali and AU soldiers lay dead, but the country’s legislature remained in government hands.

It was a promising sign that the Somali government, long dependent on the AU mission AMISOM for security, may be developing an armed force capable of fighting Islamist insurgents on its own.
