^^ He was 'chatting her up' and saying that the Spanish and Russians will bribe the refs in this world cup to help them win the right to stage the one in 2018. She, of course, recorded the conversation. :D

Spain and Russia have reacted angrily to Lord Triesman's claims that they were acting in collusion to bribe referees at next month's World Cup, by calling for Fifa to take "appropriate measures".

England’s hopes of hosting the 2018 World Cup were thrown into turmoil yesterday when Triesman resigned as chairman of the FA after revelations that he had accused rival bidders of corruption during a conversation with a former aide. In the conversation, which was recorded without his knowledge,
Triesman alleged that Spain and Russia, England’s two main challengers to host the money-spinning tournament, were acting in collusion.

The FA and England's bid team have attempted to distance themselves from Triesman's claims, which were recorded without his knowledge during a conversation with Melissa Jacobs, 37, whom he employed as an aide when he was a minister at the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.

The remarks, which Triesman said last night were not intended to be taken seriously, have unsurprisingly caused offence in both countries. Aleksey Sorokin, the chief of Russia's World Cup bid, has described the allegations as "absurd". "It is a sign that we are going in the right direction, that the quality of our bid leaves no other alternative for our competitors but to bring up these absurd allegations," he said.

When asked if they would take up the matter with Fifa, Sorokin said: "We haven't had that discussion, we hope that Fifa will take appropriate measures itself without our motions."

In Spain, where the head of the country’s bid, Angel Maria Villar Llona, is also chairman of Fifa’s referees committee, Jorge Perez Arias, the secretary general of the of the Spanish Football Federation, has labelled the claims as “ridiculous”.

“The idea Spain is trying to bribe World Cup referees is, of course, ridiculous
. We like to compete and participate fairly and try always to do the best we can,” Arias said.

“Fortunately we’ve been qualifying for the final phases of the Euro and World Cup competitions for several years now. We were able to arm a good team that had the fortune and skill to win Euro 2008 and we’re going to South Africa wanting to do the best possible.

“It’s as simple as that for us. As far as 2018 goes, we’re trying to progress our bid to host the competition with Portugal. If we win that would be wonderful and if another country is chosen, we’d be happy as well because all the candidates are good ones.”

Guys you can't judge a team based on a friendly match plus Cape Verde has so many players from the Portuguese league and one from Osasuna in La Liga called Dady so for them it was a derby the same way Portugal failed to beat Angola when they met in the last world cup in Germany.

How many of you know that Patrick Vieira, Evra's parents were from Cape Verde and Nani was born there and he could've playeed for them and speaking of which here is a list of players who could represent Cape Verde.

Eliseu Pereira dos Santos - S.S. Lazio

Nani - Manchester United

Ricardo Faty - A.S. Roma

Jacques Faty - FC Sochaux-Montbéliard

Manuel Fernandes - Valencia CF

Gelson Fernandes - Saint-Étienne

Henrik Larsson - Retired, now Manager for Landskrona BoIS

Rolando - FC Porto

Bobbie Friberg da Cruz - Kongsvinger

David Mendes da Silva - AZ Alkmaar

Valmiro Lopes Rocha - RCD Espanyol

Nélson Marcos - Real Betis

Miguel Monteiro - Valencia CF

Celestino - Belenenses

Helton Dos Reis - AS Saint-Étienne

Silvestre Varela - FC Porto

Freddy dos Santos - Vålerenga

for a small Island this is a massive talent...Amazing.
