lool. this headline is funny. I got this on my twitter today.

 

 

On today’s Star Tribune op-ed page, former senator Norm Coleman took a one-sentence point — we need to figure out how people get so disaffected here that joining a terrorist organization seems like a logical choice — and expanded it to several paragraphs that offered no significant roadmap for doing so.

While discussing the issues of world power, the Somali Philosopher Dr. Cumar Raabe( Allah ha u Naxariistee), said " Maraykanku Waa Badow Doolar iyo Bunduq Haysta". Roughly means " The typical American is an ignorant with dollar and shotgun", or as they say in the wild west , it is the butter and the gun that built America. At the same time many of you might have seen movies made about the " ugly American", disrespecting indigenous cultures and customs when he travels abroad. yet regardless of how people dislike the ugly American or hold certain contempt for his behavior , people very where respect them and fear them because of who they are and what they stand for.

 

Now imagine the " ugly Somali" who has neither the butter or the gun, yet behaving badly throughout the world. He will not be tolerated or given a pass like the American, instead he will exposed and dealt harshly.

 

We don't have Radio, television or other modern programming to inform our people or even guide them how to navigate these new countries they are settling. Every other community whether they Indians, chines or Arabs, follow the foot steps of those who proceeded them in terms adapting to the new environment. Most of the Somali community leaders are dinosaurs or older people who can;t answer the modern needs of the new generation.

 

Our own West Edmonton Mall was put on high alert after Al-shabaab released a video to threatening for attack. Every thing is related to the political situation of the country. unless the country stabilizes, Somalis youth will be the victims of multiple foreign ideologies.
