The Somali wild *** is suffering from three main threats: hunting, loss of habitat and competition for resources. Its domain is a drought-stricken war zone, its flesh is eaten in the belief that it cures hepatitis and it has to complete with domestic livestock for food and water. Urgent action is needed if the breed is to be saved from extinction.

 

MAIN FEATURES:

 

Arguably the most beautiful of all asses. Blue-grey body, lighter underneath. Pale legs with distinct black stripes.Dark upright mane and dark tail tassel. Fine stripe down back, but no stripe across the shoulders. Very large ears.

This sounds absurd, that of all the dameer in Somalia, it's concentrated in las Anod or that it's in any danger of extinction. Or do have different breeds.

Alpha Blondy It is something to do with the fact Donkeys were used to survive the harsh deserts of those ancient

lands the same way the Arabs respect camels for it was crucial to their survival.

They mean Sool region. When one arrives in Las Anod you will see many Somali Wild Donkeys on the sides of the

road.

Looool at u guys, no doubt we are known fardaha nugaal but that's not what I was getting at. One would just think all the donkeys in xamar or even a city name after the animal would have more then LA but I'll just leave it there. Sadly according to wiki there are less then a 1000 in the wild.
