THE POEM

I knelt to pray but not for long,

I had too much to do.

I had to hurry and get to work

For bills would soon be due.

So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,

And jumped up off my knees.

My Muslim duty was now done

My soul could rest at ease.

All da y long I had no time

To spread a word of cheer.

No time to speak of Allah to friends,

They'd laugh at me I'd fear.

No time, no time, too much to do,

That was my constant cry,

No time to give to souls in need

But at last the time, the time to die.

I went before the Lord,

I came, I stood with downcast eyes.

For in his hands God held a book;

It was the book of life.

God looked into his book and said

Your name I cannot find.

I once was going to write it down...

But never found the time"

Plz, fellow muslim brothers and sisters, plz find the time to do ur prayer or other muslim duties and do them in a non-hurried way so Allah will know that you actually took the time to do all that He asks of you so that He can do all that you ask of him , insha allah.

May ALLAH have mercy on us and have a Blessed Ramadan!

Muslim Duties

Fasting

The fourth pillar of Islaam

Is fasting which we do

Once a year in Ramadaan

To make us stronger too

Right from when the day begins

We start to fast you see

And when the sun has set completely

That's when we can eat

Ramadaan is such a great time!

More Qur'aan we read

And Allaah gives us more rewards!

For doing each good deed

The gates of Paradise are opened

During Ramadaan!

It's a time when Muslims try

To strengthen their Imaan

Look forward then to Ramadaan

For one month it will last

And Allaah will give huge rewards

For every single fast!

The Five Pillars of Islam

Allah is One and like no one,

He has no partner, nor a son,

He is Kind and Just and Wise,

And has no form, shape or size.

His final Messenger to all of us,

Did so much without a fuss,

Muhammad is his blessed name,

As mercy to the worlds he came.

Five times a day we make Salah,

That's when we bow down to Allah,

We ask for guidance when we pray,

And this we do every single day.

We have to share with those in need,

And not give in to thoughts of greed,

Zakah then helps us in this way,

Lest we should err and go astray.

In the month of Ramadan we must fast,

From the first day to the last,

When food and drink we put aside,

By fasting rules we then abide.

And all those who can afford,

Seek the pleasure of their Lord,

They perform their Hajj you know,

When to Makkah the pilgrims go.

Salat

When the time has come to pray

Put your little toys away

Then go wash like you're told to

It's time for your wudoo!

Then come calmly to Salaah

And concentrate before Allaah

We stand before our Lord to pray

He hears what you say

We praise Allaah and ask Him to

Keep us on His Path that's true

We want to try to do things right

And pray our best each day and night

Dear young Muslim! Guard your prayer

Great reward for you is there!

Hajj

For Allah, my heart went there

Where I turn my face in Prayer

It's a duty, this I know

So to Makkah I did go

For Allaah I packed my gear

Then to His House I came near

For my journey I was ready

Allaah made me strong and steady

I walked around the Ka'bah wall

And teardrops from my eyes did fall

Yearning was I for this day

In Allaah's House to pray!

Truly my heart, Allaah brought

I thank Him for His support!

With His Mercy I arrived

Then home I went, purified!
