Somali teen faces capital murder for-hire-plot

When Mohamed tries to dredge up information from his early childhood, he can't remember much. His Somalian family left the poverty and violence in their country when he was still in the womb. The family spent the next few years in Kenya, Mohamed's birthplace, then flew to New York and on to Houston.

2 more charged in baseball bat beating at gas station.

Two more men have been charged in the bloody beating of a customer at a downtown St. Paul gas station last month by several men with baseball bats.


Ibrahim M. Abdullahi, 22, and Zakaria A. Yusuf, 21, both of St. Paul, were arrested Thursday evening without incident and charged Friday with one count each of second-degree assault.


Last week, Ahmed Farah Hirsi, 21, was charged with second-degree assault for his role in the attack on 39-year-old Edwin Daniel.

Arrest made in MSU dorm robbery

MANKATO, MINNESOTA — An officer responding to a driving complaint in a dorm parking lot early Sunday morning found himself in the right place when a robbery was reported at the same dorm five minutes later.


That quick response and what a commander describes as “good police work” led to the arrest of seven men later Sunday. One of the men arrested is suspected of being involved in other campus-area crimes.

Toronto PD Iooking for "Iabo sheydaamin" wanted for separate gun crimes.

Toronto Police have released photos of two suspects wanted for separate gun crimes.


Abshir Olow, 23, of Toronto, is wanted in connection to a shooting on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, on Ardwick Boulevard.


He's described as 6'2", 180 lbs., brown eyes, and hair possibly worn in corn rows.


Police believe he may be in Calgary, and warn that he is considered to be armed and dangerous.


In a separate case, police are on the hunt for 26-year-old Ibrahim Khiar, of Toronto.

Drug investigation Ieads to 3 arrests in Rochester.

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Rochester Police have announced three arrests in a long term drug investigation.


Authorities have been watching these individuals closely for some time and they were finally arrested on Wednesday.


Abdikareen Abdi, 30, of northeast Rochester, Shuayd Ali, 32, of southwest Rochester and Bashir Kulmie, 33, of southeast Rochester are behind bars.

A Farah Einstein get's himself arrested three times in four days for the samething.


Bloomington, Minnesota. An Eagan man kept authorities very busy this past week after he was arrested by Bloomington police three times in four days.


Police said booking photos of 19-year-old Samatar Osman may look similar, but they were taken on three separate days after three separate arrests.

Two classy QuruxIeeyiin sentenced in UK

A WOMAN who repeatedly beat a 29-year-old over the head with a vodka bottle during a robbery has been jailed.


Shukri Warsame, 24, approached the woman on the platform at New Cross Gate station on November 20, 2009, and asked her for a cigarette. The two accomplices, Saida Mohamed, 20, of Gunnersbury, and a 15-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, joined in the attack, punching and kicking the victim until they managed to prise away her mobile phone.

California Man Charged with Car Theft, Fleeing Burnsville Police

Burnsville, Minnesota
. A California man has been charged with stealing a car and fleeing a police officer after an incident last weekend in Burnsville.


Abdiwahab Barkadle Sheikh Mohamed, 24, of San Diego faces a felony count of car theft, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine, and a felony count of fleeing a peace officer, which has a maximum penalty of three years in prison a $5,000 fine.
