As for the work experience - depends where one wants to work or what type of career they be interested in finding more about. if its the former, i always encourage my pupils to find work in a place where they would be able to apply for part time job after the work experience whilst they continue with their education - but if it is the later - then firms that specialises in their chosen careers is best to apply and preferable three to six months in advance.
