^^ You sound familiar, was your maiden name Samurai? smile.gif

If the people of Sanaag, excluding El-Afweyn, Gar’adag and parts of Erigabo districts, do not wish to partake, why keep knocking on their door, unless of course there is disillusionment of sort at work.

Simple rationale, no?

Ceerigaabo is a cross-section of Sanaag, is it not? If none of the people in Ceerigaabo itself have been forced to register themselves against their wish, what makes you think the people in places like Badhan will? No-one is going to be dragged out of their homes, photographed, finger-printed and have their particulars taken unwillingly, are they? What are the chances of someone forced to register themselves returning to vote next year anyway? Give all the people of Sanaag a chance and they'll decide whether they'll register themselves or not. They certainly deserve better than few shadowy bribed old farts choosing their leaders.

There can't be other explanation for the resistance of voter registration - using intimidation and threat of violence - apart from denying the voters their chance to express their democratic right.

^ be it erigavo, badhan, laas qoray, dhahar, jidali or buraan, its clear that these people don't want ur daymn registration. I don't get why somaliland keeps troubling itself with where is not wanted. its clear to everyone that Sl can do whatever it wants with its four tuulos and erigavo neighborhood but dont cross that line when you know very well that doing so will result in regional infighting and the breaking of a tribal agreements that make that region as peaceful as it is. what does sl have to gain by putting jawans were they are not wanted only to disturb the peace in that aria. you know, social groups are like children. molested children sometimes grow up to hate all humans and inflict on others the same or even worse treatment to those around. so it is with the israelis towards arabs and slanders towards other somalis. They also say, hate only distroys the hater in the end. save urselfs people.

LOL

You are being very simplistic. A counter to your argument would be, what if there are people in Eastern Sanaag that want to be part of the development and democracy in Somaliland?

No body is forcing any indivitual to go to the registration office and register... equally no one should stand the way of those who want to go to the registration office and register themselves.

NASSIR

Since when Garadag became a district in Sanaag.

Sanag's official districts prior to the tribal/civil war are recorded as Five which reflect and stand for the region's population centers. Four of these are/were the territories of Makhirians. Simple and True!
