High time for defated clan militia networks to give up

Recommended Posts

Should the supporters of the Al-Shabaab, clan courts, Ahmed Diriye group or as they are know the looters inc, give up the fake armed struggle?

Even for the lives of the people they are "fighting for"?

Or will they continue to bleed untill not one of them is left.

My sympathies to the barinwashed child soldiers, and our poor civilains being used as human shields and excuse for failed military and political clan centric projects.

Look at the example of Angola the armed factions gave up and now the country is booming.

Its time for the delusional Somali's to realise, the war is over, there is governemnt, come and play politics.

The time for this "let's all get along" talk was 15 months ago, when the speaker of the TFP signed a peace treaty with the UIC.

It's actually even beyond too late.

* Shabbab has gotten its own support and powerbase now, they don't need the UIC and so the UIC can no longer stop them even if they wanted to

* Ahmad Diriye is dead, killed in an Ethiopian prison. His clan will never forgive them or the TFG

* The opposition political leadership is safe in Eritrea and can coordinate weapons and money for the resistance indefinately, while the TFG leadership based in Baidoa is looking more and more tenuous.

The TFG screwed up. They fumbed the ball.

Armchair,

Why don't you pull up one of your maps so I can see where QansaxDheere is? The town is said to come under Bay region but don't know how close. Thanks.

Amxaaro leaves, peace comes inshallah. Before that, people can't put up with occupation, robbery by clan militias passing as government, jail, and rape. Of course, all these facts on the ground in Muqdisho are of no concern to you. Your cries for Ethiopian Artillery to kill and maim Muqdisho kids so you could feel avenged were accepted, enjoy their misery while it lasts.

Qansah Dere is a fair ways from Baidoa, but it's important as it's the administrative seat of that district.

Qansah Dere falling into Mukhtar Robow's hands puts both Baidoa and Bardaale within striking distance.

The strategy of the UIC in the Battle of Baidoa was to capture Bardaale, cutting off the highway to Ethiopia from supplies, then encircling Baidoa from all directions. That's why, aside from the main thrust towards Baidoa, a second force attacked and took Dinsoor and Qansah Dere, where the TFG/Ethiopian force met them en-route to Bardaale. That critical battle, outside of Baidoa and Qansah Dere, which the Ethiopian army won, was the deciding battle of the war.

Thanks for the map. It is not that far by Nomadic standards. Just a night or two night's walk may be LOL. I might be wrong about the distance.

Lets not delude ourselfs lads.

1. Somalia has a governemnt, its getting stronger by the day, its in Mogadishu right now.

This governemnt has convened a peace conference, never attacked a single group in Somalia.

2. The opposition groups have been on the attack, have paraded women and children, killed many civilians and assasination was their slogan, they even used suicide bombs unheard of in Somalia.

3. All these groups start wailing about the people the day after they attack and loose. A simple pattern of threats, attacks and then crocodile tears about the "people".

4. The Al-Shabaab are popular today as Aydeed's militias were back in the day, people used clan for the former as an excuse and religion is used for the former. Thus its all hot air.

Its time to think about your own limitations and the people.

Keep raising money and attacking governemnt troops and allies, and you will keep crying.

^^^Every generation will produce a crop of good leaders. Somalia is not dead, and one should get out of this self made doom that some people are placing themselves in.

The republic is back after 17 years and it will be good for all.
