Muse sought political refuge in a man whose citizens are being kidnapped just outside the capital city.

Abiy and Muse both lost large swathes of the land they supposedly rule.

And this is airline that Sland get shares from

The airline is not wholly owned by Ethiopia with two of the largest shareholders, majority stakeholders, being !sraelites. It is managed and run by an !sraeli company.

It is very successful airlines, but not something interchangeable with your land sea

It is 'very successful' because millions of Soomaalida are flying with it. I have always refused to fly this Xabashi airline as a principle. Never did it once, albeit it being a direct flight to Toronto straight from Adisababa.

Soomaaliya waa dalka kaliya diyaarad qaran lahayn. Liibiya, Yeman, Afgaanistaan, Burundi, Suuriya iyo dalalka kale caalamka - dal walba diyaarad qaran leeyahay. Not Soomaaliya, waa yaab yaabkeeda.

All these airlines from Xabashada, Kiikuuyada, Imaaraadka, Qadar, Turkiga, Ugaandha, Jabuuti dalkeena waa iska imaadaan, bilaa kantarool. Worse is Xabashiland that goes straight to Soomaali cities without first visiting the country's capital. To them, Soomaaliya waa iska gobol gaar ah.

This is not sustainable oo dhaqaalihii ummadda Soomaaliyeed shisheeye iska aruursanaayo. Soomaalida, being a hugely diaspora community, fly higher proportion than than all these neighbouring countries' citizens.

Dowladda shirkadaha waa weyn - sida Jubba iyo Daallo - wey ku qasbi kartaa midoobaan and create a single flagship national airline, taking a public share as well.

  • Thanks 1

A lot of the European carriers are entirely in private hands. I know British Airways belongs to a mostly Spanish company called IAG.

No Somali traveller would fly with an airline that makes a million different stops.

The Ethiopians can't pay the interest on the  billions of dollars they already owe. No one will give a bankrupt entity anymore loans. The endless internal strive is having a serious impact on Ethiopia's economy.

Loans are given if the lender feels confident you have the means and the will to pay it back. Ethiopia is slowly seen as a failed state and a bomb waiting to explode. Even China, which has heavily invested already, is closing factories to minimize damage.

Abiy miscalculated.
