B]Yes, you are right. A a year you were in Badioa and thousands of Somali troops with donated Ethiopian uniforms arrived to "train the Somali government". A year ago the arrival of Ethiopian troops in Somalia was a "motivational prank" and you said that you would never support any Ethiopian invasion. On year later, here you are bombaring us with news about the clean up of Muqdisho by Ethiopian and Somali Trojan forces. Of course the fact is that democracy, peace, stability and security has been returned to Muqdisho by the galliant forces with the donated Ethiopian uniforms and the anti terror alliance. Now that is a fact, read it below for yourselves[/b] :

quote:Mogadishu sliding back into anarchy

Mogadishu sliding back into anarchy

Women and children injured by stray bullets and mortars during fighting in the Somali capital Mogadishu are being turned back at military checkpoints as they try to reach hospitals, the United Nations children's agency said yesterday.

Describing the humanitarian situation in the city as the worst since 1991 - the last time Somalia had an effective government - Unicef's representative for the country said the restrictions meant "people are being left behind in the streets to die". The roadblocks are manned by government and Ethiopian troops, who are battling to contain a growing insurgency.

Article continues

"The lack of respect for basic humanitarian principles from all sides is horrific," said Christian Balslev-Olesen. "It's violence, harassment ... terror against the civilian population."

The conflict has already forced 600,000 people, more than half Mogadishu's population, to flee the city since February. More than a third of those fled in the past five weeks as fighting escalated.

Hopes of a ceasefire are dim. Somalia's transitional government has made little effort to reach out to political opponents or the guerrilla fighters, who in turn have vowed to fight until the Ethiopian occupation ends. The insurgency is broad-based, comprising remnants of the Somali Council of Islamic Courts (SCIC), chased out of Mogadishu by Ethiopian forces last December, as well as militias controlled by warlords opposed to the government.

Ethiopia and the United States, which backed the move to oust the SCIC citing alleged links to al-Qaida, say a large international peacekeeping mission is the answer. But no countries appear willing to add to the 1,600 Ugandan peacekeepers confined to a small area of Mogadishu.

The abuses by government forces and the insurgents fit the pattern of impunity that has plagued Somalia for 16 years, and UN officials and diplomats admit they have little leverage over either party. Ethiopia, however, should be a different matter.

Speaking to the Guardian a few weeks ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Addis Abada denied its troops were guilty of abuses. "Our conduct of war is in line with international law," said Wahide Beleye, spokesman for the ministry. "We don't target civilians."

But UN officials insist that reports of indiscriminate shelling and heavy-handed house-to-house raids are credible.

"Ethiopia has a functioning government that should be accountable," said a senior UN official responsible for Somalia, who cannot be named for fear of compromising his agency's work. "We tried talking to Ethiopia, even at ambassador level, but we get nowhere. It seems that they, like the other parties, can get away with anything in this dirty war."

Besides the blocks on medical access, Unicef said that both government-allied militias and insurgents were recruiting children to fight. It also noted an unprecedented amount of sexual violence against women, particularly at checkpoints.

Do let us know when the " clean up" of Muqdisho enters its " third phase".

Cimrigaaga raagey geel dhalaa aas ku tusaa! What a befitting saying.

Duke, The warlord- Maxamed Dheere- and "killer" turned police chief- Qeybdid" - that you are currently glorifying were the same people who you last year were blasting for calling your lovely madaxweyne names.

Xaggee lagugu soo hagaaga?

How on earth could you support Abdi Qeybdid who evidently (there is video evidence) murdered innocent civilians in 1991?

Warka maad cadeeysid oo tiraahdid qabiil X oo la degaalsan qabiilka aan ka dhashay ayaa la laaynayaa?

This kind of posts should be removed because every sane somali can read the tribal factor; simply put this article and the rest of your paste and copy posts has the following thesis:

Qabiilka la yiraahdo x waa kuwa biliqada dadka ku haayo, sidaasi darteedna waa la laayey.

If the tables were turned could this blatant tribalism be allowed on this forum?

The same goes when you are commenting Kismayo and Hargeisa. You are disguising tribalism as "dawlad".

Nobody is going mad here. I am just pointing some things that you said. This time lasy year give or take some months you claimed that Ethiopians troops weren't in Somalia and it was all a "motivational prank". Some of you other comrades claimed that it was Somalis with donated uniforms from Adiss Ababa, whilst you went as far as claiming that you would "never" support an Ethiopian invasion. After this you switched stories to say that the Ethiopians would leave in a matter of weeks! Almost a year later Muqdisho is in complete and utter ruins; and here you claiming for the hundreth time that there is a " clean up" in Muqdisho is on it's feet. We wait to see what you have for us next year(inshallah)! But I don't blame you, you are just following the script!

^^^GJ, you are making no sense. You made a false statement as is the case for most of you groups who blindly dance to the tune set up for you by the defeated groups.

A year ago there was the parading of children in and around Mogadishu.

There was ana attack on Baidoa a few weeks afater that.

A few days ater the clowns ran away to their new whole in Asamara.

A few months after that they started the bombing campaigns in heavily populated areas.

Each time they were the aggressor each time people like you started to encourage them and then after the defeat count the xost of the civilians.

In less than a full year their militia who attacked wre defeated, they clan looters who started the bombings have been routed and a great deal of their resources are now in government hands,.

They are no longer in Mogadishu but sing from their coptic hide out in Eritrea which has no border with Somalia.

Of course to you nothing has happened in this year.

Odey, your point is not at all clear. The TFG did not attack anyone it was attacked, those who attacked it in the outskirts of Baidoa and inside Mogadishu are and have been dealt with.

The governemnt has teeth and it will sink them into anyone who thinks they are above the law.

Gen Qaybdeed and the Mogadishu mayor are working within the law and thus what they did or said in the past matters not.
