General Duke Posted July 7, 2009 Godane’s five day ultimatum as well as the military build up in Mogadishu indicates that there might be a massive offensive on the way. Does Al Shabaab have the capability to take a well fortified area such as Villa Somalia & the port?

Does Al Shabaab have the capability to take a well fortified area such as Villa Somalia & the port? If they were capable of taking Villa Somalia, The Port and the Air-port, do you think they would be reduced to giving empty ultimatums and crying foul about the expected arrival of more AU troops? It is a desperate call, besides, don't we all know what happened the last the gave an ultimatum?
Abtigiis Posted July 7, 2009 Baalaxoofto weeye waxoodu. In fact, the Alshabab's are not good in fightings. They sure terrorise with bombings, but Ahlu-Sunna will tell you what it is like to fight these guys.

What on earth are you on about, They have most of the city and the south and have only lost the central regions. They proved many of us wrong including myself. They are formidable ighters. And today they are not far from Villa Somalia indeed a few street blocks.
Abtigiis Posted July 7, 2009 You make them formidable fighters with your own imagination so that they do what you want them to do: Finish Sharif. And all this only because you have to be proven right!! No higher goals at all! They controlled much more than that when you wre cheering for Yey. They were near Baidoa. And had all of Mogdisho. The AL Shabaab fought Yusuf and his government, they fought indeed from the bushes and they were sending mortars into the city daily, but they did not control a single district that’s a fact no matter how much you cry out in pain. As for Sharif, we have been proven he was a hollow shell of a man, full of fake rhetoric and no substance, Mr Hotel is no longer the issue. Just watching as the game unfolds. I am not interested in either party at this moment.

Which proves you didn't care about Somalia all this time. Indeed, you don't care about the carnage in Mogdisho. You are neutral, as long as your uncle is not going to any dividend. All your rants here nowadays is to salvage some pride for the old fart. To say: look, he is the only one who called for Ethiopia. There is no other purpose for you in all this latest killings. The clock stopped when Yey left for you. Injury time consolotaion goal ayaad daydayeysaa!

Somalia is more than Mogadishu, and the fact is that most of the republic is quite and the areas under occupation of the mad men will get better over time insha Allah. The game between Al Shabaab & the hotel group is a game they set in motion, our warnings and analysis were played down or even laughed at. That’s why this dreadful game, this nightmare, this man mad tragedy that is Mogadishu will end soon and if they draw with a result they [Al Shabaab & clan clowns] all end up dead or exiled would be the best result for all Somali’s. Paragon Posted July 7, 2009 They make noises and ambushes, that's all. Remember how long ago it was when they said they are less than a mile away from Villa Somalia? Months ago. These are boys with no brains. And they can't do jack shyt let alone get near the perimeters of Villa Somalia's compound. Bluffmasters.

Haatu Posted July 7, 2009 let them threat all they want. they CANNOT overrun AMISOM. they are nowhere near as well trained as the ugandans and brundians. they don't even have the proper equipment to fight there tanks.
