Naden Posted February 22, 2006 Here's another link (hope it works): http://www.arabnews.com/?page=4§ion=0&article=41466&d=19&m=3&y=2004&pix=world.jpg&category=World This bill was introduced in 2004 and widely accepted by the House of Representatives. Its goal was to monitor any criticism of Israel   . Not sure if it's become a law since then. This is not surprising given that people from the Simon Wiesenthal center have been keeping an eye on just about any meeting/debate involving 3 or more people that might even come close to discussing anything Jewish/Israel related. Can you imagine arabs/muslims organizing themselves to keep an eye on just about any utterance that may affect them?
MR ORGILAQE Posted February 22, 2006 and the west has the audacity to claim freedom of speech on the Cartoons when they are not even allowed to discuss current events that are widely accepted around the world as unjust. No discussions about the fact that there is a UN resolution against Israel which it refuses to abide by which requires it to withdraw from all teritorries it captured in 1967 with the help of US. However Iran is expected to follow the rule of international law, when it's arch enemy is heavily armed with nuclear weapons. What hypocracy!

Can you? P.S. There's no record R H.R. 3077 ever passed the Senate and became law. If it did, it was probably ammended to death.
STOIC Posted February 22, 2006 This is McCarthyite at work if they get the government behind them. They want to control what goes in the University classrooms as if this an elementary school. The target of this kind of bill are people who mostly speak for the human rights in the Arab world (specifically Palestine.)There is this one specific organization started by the likes of Daniel Pipe called the Campus-watch.Org.This organization has many times spied or even asked for the firing of Edward Said or Jeff Helper of Israel against Demolition. Is there such a right as not to be criticised? PS Sorry am too lazy to Spell check today...
J.Lee Posted February 22, 2006 If criticizing Israel comes under the heading of or leads to acts of terrorism (which I believe is the implied assumption here) then they can use certain clauses of the Patriot Act as means of extracting information or at least a form of "lawful" monitoring. So what exactly would be the point of passing this bill? I'm just curious.
Naden Posted February 22, 2006 No I can't, unfortunately. Originally posted by Castro: I can't. Can you? P.S. There's no record R H.R. 3077 ever passed the Senate and became law. If it did, it was probably ammended to death. [/qb]
BonaFied_CriTic Posted February 22, 2006 Jews are like bacteria walaahi, unwanted nuisance and hard to exterminate – If Muslims were to issue that Bill, there would have been an outrage from Israel – Don’t they understand hypocrisy is something to admire –

BonaFied_CriTic Posted February 22, 2006 Seems like Jews aren't the only nuisance - Next time I will be more general -
Naden Posted February 22, 2006 Oh please, stuff that whining  . Muslims would never issue a bill, they wouldn't lobby for a by-law to muzzle a couple of pets down the street. Jews have their sh*t on lockdown, complete from politics to media to entertainment, check out the opposition to placing the movie Paradise Now under Palestine in the Oscar race: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4715168.stm. Israel denies it but I'm sure a few lobbyists in Hollywood are pushing for it. Let's can the rhetoric and get our affairs in order. Castro Posted February 22, 2006 ^ Bonefied_Critic used to be Hittlerette so that might have something to do with her sentiments about exterminations. And they say a name does not a woman make?

Castro Posted February 22, 2006 ^ No, it can continue in an informative and civilized manner. You can teach and learn in the process. It doesn't have to be a cat or cock fight all the time, does it?
BonaFied_CriTic Posted February 22, 2006 The "civilized" disturbed a nerve - But you are right - And it must be understood that it isn't my fault some people leave themselves open for target -
