Always knew you were not the sharpest tool in the shed. 😁

You have the audacity and gall to come in here and try to spin this unfortunate blunder by Muuse Handaraab.

Newsflash: China is a veto wielding security council member. Kiss your hopeless Ictiraaf aspirations goodbye.

This is beyond what the Pirates can comprehend or understand -  As MP Indho would say "this is the era of star wars". :D

This relationship between Taiwan and Somaliland has been going on for the past couple of years and is now at a stage where it needs to move to the next level. The plan is to transform the region and make Somaliland an exemplar for development and progress.

China cannot do anything to Somaliland. We have no relationship with that disease manufacturing of a country.

They do buy out other African countries to cut ties with Taiwan. If they want us to cut ties with Taiwan, they better comes with the goods and a deal too good to refuse. :D

In any case, there are huge geopolitical changes from the fall out of the Corona Virus (China Virus as Trump would say) to counter and contain China. Somaliland is aligning itself with those winds. :D

From 2014 to 2016, Djibouti’s external public debt-to-GDP ratio ballooned from 50% to 85% with most of that debt owed to China. Today, that figure has skyrocketed to more than 100%.

Lesson learned,

Look on the bright side Somalia houses all manor of the rainbow coalition, and its a beacon of well something.

Made in Taiwan has a ring to it. Glad you have been to China though

Taiwan was one of the first countries to invest in China as it openned its economy up. They own majority of the manufacturing inside China. Go figure.

As of recently Tiawan has been busy turning Veitnam into a manufacturing hub that can compete China on cheap products.

The idea is to turn Berbera the new Shanghai of Africa where small scale manufacturing can be done at much lower cost using cheap Ethiopian labour.

That will require cheap electricity and fuel costs. Which is one of the first pillars that this agreement will address... by investing in renewal energy sources like storage battery dams, solar and wind energy to produce sufficient around the clock electricity that is cheap and renewable.

Somaliland has the perfect location for pumped storage electricity generation. The coastal Sanaag near Maydh is close to the sea and also close to high elivated land (2km high). By building a dam up the hill and pumping the sea water during the day using Wind Energy/Solar pumps. And releasing that water during the night to generate electricity when the Sun is not available. That is in the realm of possibility.

I would not worry about debt to GDP or other ratio or even size of the debt.

Either through war or reset, it will all be written off soon. Otherwise Ghelleh is smart enough. Has 4 ports. He can give one totally to the chinese for potash or food exports.

Or threaten the French to pack and leave (sometimes the french forget they are not the rulers anymore and they are not even no. 2 or 3) and get some debt relief from west and use it for east.

The British, Japanese and Germans would pay anything to be no.3 or 4 in Djibouti.

This may prove to be so beneficial to Somaliland.

Some no name islands around the world have made a killing by recognizing and having diplomatic relations with Taiwan for limited years.

All Somaliland has to do is allow the president of Taiwan a stop over when travelling to other places far away.

Especially in Computer Technology Taiwan may even be equal or better than China.

Could Taiwan build military airbase next to China's in horn of Africa?

That will be a disaster. Don't play with Indhoyar, they are bloody sensitive and vengful animals. I would not surprise if Puntland is writing a diplomatic letters to China warning them about this danger :) :)

The two countries have exchanged ambassadors and the two offices in Hargeisa and Taipei are fully operational now.

Now, lets get to work and make this a reality.
