A Rising Star

Recommended Posts

Well known Somali sportsman and coach Jaama Mahamoud Adan (Kara'een) and his team won the Oslo Bislett Games.

Kara'een was telling the BBC the other day that he had some young talents that will shake the world of athletics in the coming few years. This was a time to prove that and he has done it.

Well done to Kara'een and the team. more

Great achievement indeed, we are proud of him and the likes smile.gif

There maybe more like him, so they need the encouragement to come out and show their talents be it sports or anything else.

Aawey, ma jiro miyaa gudiga dhiiragalinta iyo maamuuska, waa tabar la'aanta waxyaalaha ay wadamada kale nooga hor mareen, no appreciation, no encouragement, no support for the rising stars, it means alot to them if they receieve welcome and encouragement, and at the same time more will come out from hiding.

^Rash's younger bro. He's got a good prospect.

I see Karaaciin has finally come to th fore to coach talented youngsters. Good thing to see talented Somali runners once again.

Karaaciin was the lot of C. Bille, soo ma ahayn horta?

Waryaaraheen. I'm very slow you know that? I only noticed the name when Isseh stated it. Jaamac Karaciin is a family member :D . He has been training the young Sudanese for a number of years now and would bring them to a certain northern city in the UK for training up and down those hills.

His team include a world junior champ and an Asian games champ.

Is this Karaciin guy's team all Somalis? If so, that's great! Always good to see Somali people in the news for good things rather than bad.

Isseh,

Cabdi Bille was the younger boys that followed Jamac Kara'eens footsteps. Jamac is remembered for his multi talents, he competed not only in the running but also in the long jump and javelin among many others. He was a one man team representing Somalia in many competitions at the same time. He is a true legend.

^You are right. Actually Bile's lot was the next lot following Karaaciin. There was another runner from Banaadir area too, who later, it was said, disappeared into the qurbaha.
