JB, i think you are mixing up a few things here.

 

You are trying to define a political identity. You are somali because you are from somalia and possibly your ethnicity is somali. if you want to name some new fan-dangled political identity, go for it. for all i care you can call yourself a Hargesa-ian or Burcian or what ever else 'ian' that takes your fancy - personally i suggest somalilanderian . but from somalia = somali -no 'enders' nor 'ians'.
