NOMADS BEWARE!-VIRUS ALLERT

Recommended Posts

There is a defect in Windows NT, 2000, XP, and 2003 computers. Think of it as a broken window on your computer. Anyone can crawl into your computer from the network without you knowing it and without your helping them by reading email or visiting a web site. They are free to do whatever they want...read your email, delete your files, copy your passwords, steal your identity. People have written programs, called worms, that travel the Internet hopping from one computer to another through the same broken windows. These are troublesome but it is important to remember the worm is only doing what anyone else can do...walk right in and take over.

Microsoft has released a patch to fix the broken Window. Fixing that broken window is what this web is all about. But that isn't the end of the story. Some of you have worms that have already crawled in through the broken window. They need to be removed as they are disrupting the network. In addition, there are several other broken windows in Windows, though not as big or obvious as this one, that may be used in the future by bad guys and their programs.

Here are the website for update and virus removal:

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.html

Remember to know which virus is attacking you before you try to solve it!.

Happy Surfing

Listen, the Microsoft platform itself is defective; no amount of patches will protect you. You apply a patch today, an even deadlier worm will be written and unleashed. There are tens thousands "protective" codes in the Microsoft platform; these codes which was written to protect Windows from being "opened" are what is making it unstable, prone to easy attacks and manipulations. Do yourselves a favor and migrate to Linux; it's way easier and much stabler than Windows. You can get it for free or a fraction of what Windows costs. Don't listen to the crap that Linux isn't reasy; it's more than ready, I will prove it to you in a new thread soon (with screenshots). Linux the last 2 years has transformed formidably; if you haven't been following its news, then you were lost in the Microsoft bushes.

Yeah, there are plenty of wild viruses out there. But, there are good steps that you can take to protect your computer from their traps.

1: Update your computer regulary.

2: Get a Anti-Virus software like Norton.

3: Set the automatic live update on

4: Scan your computer fully at least once a week.

I think you will be ok from these viruses if you follow the steps i listed above and always be alert.
