  3. "A good wife always knows her place" That's a good one. Know what you have to do, and he will know what he has to do. I like the list, very inspiring

Roobleh, How is Qatar these days??? And is the big day coming??? the bride is located to the groom's left so she will be closer to his heart, I guess. You should know that, don't you watch Egyptian drama, they always talk about weddings.
  6. there was a time when I used to wax the hair on my arms, but I heard that its a sign of beauty in somali culture, so I don't touch that area no more.
  7. Lily I was gona buy the pink dress from Dorothy..........Nice choice, and good tips girls.
  8. I have this wireless thing , but never got round the security bit... Good news you posted this I will have to do it
  9. Any story that comes out from that country sound funny, especially when it comes to women. am not surprised though, I have heared worse stories.
  10. What??? Stop eating that's my answer to you?? Fast for one month and eat green food all the time.
  11. I watched the program three weeks ago, it was saturday night. I was actually waiting for the programe for weeks , cause it used to appear on the ads all the time. They are two soamli sisters one of them called Zahra and Sumia. That was a nerve racking progarme, cause they were losing against the Iraqi couple. Actually the Iraqi couple banked most of the money, but they lost towards the end. The maximum amount of money they could win in this programe is 1 million DH. The sisters had 200,000 DH
  12. ^^ You making it sound as if muslims can do anything about it. If muslims were stronger, no one would have tried to do anything against us. Back to the face veil, Ameen, Aisha (aliha salam) wore the viel cause she already lived in a reigion were women were permitted to wear the face veil until this day. They wore it before Islam, which we could say is part of the culture. Cause if it was part of the deen, we would have seen all muslim women wearing it. Alhamdullah we don't have to, but for the sisters who do, well I think that they are brave to do so. wearing the veil wont prove that you are more religious, its your actions more than your dress code that says more about you. Why are we trying to live the saudi way?? its one of the most absured, rediculous way of living, where women have no respect and treated as second class citizens. If you wana wear veil or wahtever then go to saudia arabia and try their way of living, leave the west for the people who want to indulge in the land of democracy.
  13. You don't have to leave your religion to be like others and join the crowd. You could be the muslim, the hardworker, the believer, the friend, the classmate. You could only make it hard for yourself by choosing to be different in an odd way. wearing the face veil is one of these odd acts.
  14. ^^^Its good to know the reason behind this, cause I really thought you were up to something. I agree with you though, Saudi culture or way of life is full weird practices
  15. ^^^ this is going to far. You are not supposed to eat pork cause its haram, we all know that, but not touch the pork, then this is going toooo far. You can't avoid it and debating it wont solve it. Touching the pork would be part of your job if you are a cachier and the pork is already covered.
  16. ^^^ it does Cambaro, but it will always go back to qabil stuff
  17. Why don't you try to meet other muslims, and break the circle of just having somali friends. Not saying somali's are all the same, but it all goes to square one with somalis ( wa quladee?!@^%) especially women. You said you came from khaleej, you must know arabic. Why don't you try arabic speakers, they are plenty and will have respect for you.
  18. talking about the cabaya that is tucked in the jeans, oooh , such a discusting scene. My younger sister used to do that cause her other somali friends were doing the same, but Alhamdullah she stopped after a while.
  19. Even if you had kids in the west, the thought of bringing up kids in this environment just is not the ideal thing to do.
  20. don't you people watch TV, don't you see women who preach. There is this program on the Egyptian satellite channel where a woman emam ansewrs women quetions as in Fiqh-Al-Maraa, so what happenned in Morroco is not new its been going on for years.
  21. its a good sign, nothing wrong with having woman as emams, they can perform all the duties of male emams except leading prayers.
  22. Don't you people get bored talking about the same old thing. Hijab is hijab, take it or leave it, which what I suggest all of you do. Islam is bigger than the hijab, why limit our thoughts about how a woman should dress?? Back to the main thing, this police officer seem to be on another palnet, what is wrong with shaking hands...... its not like he is gona eat her or something. Beside, shaking hands with others who are not your relatives is not forbidden, as I think. **Why everyone is trying to live in Suadi Arabia??? Following thier odd rules
  23. I have studied this in school in history, there was this chapter about Islamic civilization, and how Muslims had part in discovering new things that are used in our time.
  24. salam Rose I think your post is funny really. How did you thougt about this? Maybe, you and I think the same. Cause no one is using their real image, except Ibtisam who done so before. These images that we are using might reflect our true image. Mine looks exactly like my nose and mouth, just with darker skin.
