  1. ^lmao @ people like me. I don't have to realize anything, I am merely pointing out what I think is the obvious lay of the land in America.

    NFL playoffs

There used to be many of us back in the days but I dunno where they disappeared to.

Nah, I ain't about to throw my cards in on that yet. I been burned before. I am just a football fan who can't wait to watch post season this year!
  4. Reeyo, another emotional tirade that adds nothing to the case. Seriously, the loss of life is as important to you as it is to me but again when looking at the bigger picture your solution does not do anything to decrease the amount of people who when they want will find access to guns and do what they want without leaving a trail for the cops to follow. The American culture does breed violence, our children do learn that its cool to kill, our children do have access to the internet where they can learn how to build a bomb or wire up an incinerator device, some people out there do have psychological conditions. It is a multitude of things that culminated to mass murder so stop assuming your one dimensional solution will solve a multidimensional problem Those rights that you wrote out are unalienable rights of americans. They are the rights that the US was founded on and those rights are fiercely important to Americans. Look at polls asking americans if they want to ban guns and then consider what it is you are proposing. Guns won't be banned in America any time soon and the sooner you come to terms with it the better.

^Broncos already clinched playoffs so I would say Ravens, Green Bay and perhaps Giants. 49ers game with Patriots should be a good preview

^ Is that your predications for superbowl or who will make it post season? I can't believe you are picking giants over falcons, whats your rationale?

With Playoff around the corner and only 4 teams named (Denver, Houston, New England and Atlanta) what are your predications for the remaining spots?
  9. I got a weird Q, whats with somali guys and cross dressing??
  10. ^ You work for AP news or something. How did you get a jump on the story lol. Twitter says blast centered at a club in ushirika and outside a mosque. This is heartbreaking and should make the elections all the more tense in Kenya.

    The Hobbit!

We agreed to disagree. The theologists among us believed that of the two tales that pi told the one that was most fantastic equaled religion while the logical (read cannibal) one equaled reason. The atheist just believed it proved Darwin's theory of survival of the fittest so its no suprise we didn't come to a consensus.

Complicated? Hopefully not. You watched life of pi? My friends and i argued over that movies hidden meaning for two days.

    The Hobbit!

I enjoy his works but i dont go gaga over him Holocaust wasn't really brought main stream by movies, it was a full fledged PR war. If you like movies about social issues try the international genre/foreign genre.

    The Hobbit!

I don't think anyone goes to the movies to be enlightened so i doubt it will do much but let me know if its worth a trip to the theatre.

I got fooled into thinking man with an iron fist was taratinos only to find out it was his film company and rza directed it i am not sure abt django though, what with the slavery connotation and his bad acting

    The Hobbit!

Peter Jackson is a diff breed the man envisioned LOR when he was young. He went and scouted all the scenes and knew how he wanted to do after reading the book. He deserves all the fame and fortune cause he believed in something and didnt back down even when no one believed in him at first. A vision is all it takes and a little creativity lol

Post prandial effect or you just were tired? There was too much to keep up with to fall asleep. Weren't you trying to link back the storyline?
  21. Hello Naxar. Now you know thats not what i said so why don't we keep it in the context it was said. This is not going to be an all or none fight and the sooner people realize it the better. When i want to go shooting i want to be able to do that, just like i can depend on the right for due process and right to petition and right of religion. What makes this a debatable right and what separates the other freedoms you enjoy as being safe once you start fiddling with this one? Like i said this is not going to go into all or nothing so for the sake of the safety of schools, malls and movie theatres lets remove emotional baggage from bills of rights arena. Talk about measures at state levels or federal (if you must ) on isolating the cracks in the system but don't blankly decide to dismember the bill of rights!

    The Hobbit!

Its was long but definately not boring. Not sure what Peter Jackson was trying to do but he took long to unfold the story and then closed it right when it got interesting. My friend who has never seen LOR was leaning on the seat infront of her as if she wanted to enter the 3D world. She is now hooked and will watch LOR trilogy. The hobbit was more hype than it was worth but watching it in 3D made up for it somewhat.
  23. Lol some people in here are parroting NYT comments. I for one was glued to the TV when i saw kids and snow on the ground. I was thinking of my nephews and nieces in school and ashamedly breathed a sigh of relief when i saw it was CT. I pray for all those affected. The Right to bear arms is a constituional right for any American and can't be recended. So why don't we stop asking for that to occur. Wouldn't it make more sense for there to be proper vetting of who owns them instead? I don't think we can hope to solve the gun delimma by getting emotional and demand everyone to give up their guns. I would like to keep my right to go shoot skeets on weekends when i like thank you very much! So try some other tact if you wish to have everyone be on board/bi-partisan.
