Abu Hurairah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) kissed his grandson Al-Hasan bin `Ali (May Allah bepleased with them) in the presence of Al-Aqra` bin Habis. Thereupon he remarked: "I have ten children and I have never kissed any one of them.'' Messenger of Allah (PBUH) looked at him and said, "He who does not show mercy to others will not be shown mercy".[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].But as someone mentioned earlier, forgiveness is key. It's liberating believe me.

I only watched last night's episode. Quote of the nite : "I've never met a mean African before" lol. OMG that cracked me up, in a sad way. Walee tan waa mid waalan. Ilaahiyow ha naceebeen.

I couldn't agree more--FGM is a traumatic experience and mostly not talked about. I just don't buy her story of wanting to eradicate FGM. I'm not sure if she elaborated on how she plans on getting the work done back home.
What really bothers me is her racist attitude towards the African-Americans in the show. How embarrassing. Some of my bestfriends are AA and I would hate for them to think that we're all racists. Maybe she's airing our dirty laundry. And maybe we need to reexamine our own biases & prejudices, especially to African-American community.

In a couple of weeks, my work out buddy will be visiting to stay for a month. We jog.
Maybe one day soon, I'll do a marathon. *sigh*
