That could be right as there are many Super Pacs with unlimited funds and deep pocket friends. Karl Rove Super Pac has raised 300 millions and spent 200 millions. People waited hours yesterday to vote in Miami-Dade county.

^Thanks to Citizens United, money talks and this election when it is said and done would have costed 1 billion dollars. Last Day before the big day, your predictions folks

The changing state of US ethnicity-Minority Becomes Majority This is why republicans wants to disfranchise many minorities and young people. There are no longer enough angry white men.

It is the breakdown of nucleus family that is the source of many problems-something that is happening among Somalis as fathers aimlessly wander around and mothers are burdened with raising kids and struggling to work. When basic of unit of society becomes undone, everything follows.

N.O.R.F;885485 wrote: What are the main differences? Most things really starting with taxes, healthcare, education, immigration, entitlement programs, and civil rights Romney wants to keep Bush taxes and if it's possible cut more taxes for what he calls 'job creators' euphemism for the super rich. He wants to do this without identifying how to raise revenues in order to pay down deficit while funding necessary programs that are helping the elderly, the poor and minorities. Romney wants to reverse Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) even though it is not that from his own healthcare law in Massachusetts. It's difficult to overturn any law passed by the Congress but Romney can severely undermine by defunding it or changing regulations hence changing the intent of the law. Students and former students including yours truly are burdened with student loans. Th republicans have no plan in helping and avoiding the next crisis which is affecting millions of Americans. And there's the issue of immigration. Romney wants 11 million illegals to essentially be deported along with American born children. These people have lived from few years to few decades, have contributed to the tax base, and are part of economy. They are part of the American fabric. It's unwise and immoral to pursue such policy. Romney wants to gut all entitlement programs including Medicaid and Medicare through deep cuts and individual voucher program where elders will be required to shop health plans. And finally Romney is now beholden and supportive of republican-led states where minorities, elders and young people are being disfranchised with new election laws. They are doing anything they can and with trick in the book to limit the political power of non-republicans and in some ways non-whites.

XX....It's not even 'the tribe in power', it's the elite within that tribe and the tribe eventually pays for the actions of that small elite when it comes war comes knocking at their door. You are right Siyad Barre syndrome is in every so called Somali leader except none of them can be Siyaad since they don't have the Somalia Siyad took over jn 1969. True no one wants to be victim!

Those who are calling the government dumb-jadiid before it takes off have no desire for progress but let's not forget Somalis have concern with what goes on in Xamar. Ignoring those concerns will have serious consequences. On sidenote, the only thing many people agree on this forum is their hatred for AS but nothing else in common, just platitudes about Somalia rising again.

oba hiloowlow;885691 wrote: sxb im talking about few people in the diaspora what can they possibly do for the country ninyahow. I assure they are not few and they can do serious damage. Funny thing, Duke would have been saying these exact statements against anyone that was opposing Abdulahi Yusuf. XX...A country can't be run by one group and at the same not every group can included. The meaning of Government have to be defined to people. The president, prime-minister and ministers are political leaders, they are not really the government perse.

Oba...The 'Haters' are Somalis and their problems I assure are yours as well. If any Somali had ability to do ANYTHING without others, they would have done so already.

If your thinking is 'we will manage without them', we are doomed!
