  1. Just for the record. Most TFG supporters, especially the ones here in SOL support the TFG because of its incumbent ability to result in the creation of a, perhaps mroe acceptable, national government. If this national government becomes installed, whatever that might entail for A/Y or Geedi (demise or whatever), we will most certainly support it. But I still would like to be appointed to the new finance minister so a little nepotism in the new administration couldnt hurt right?
  2. Hooraay. Now all the ICU mujahdids will become pro-american and open a Starbucks venue in Bakaraha all of a sudden. So much for fighting christian pigs lol
  3. I think we can learn lot from Israel in terms of attracting diaspora ppl back to Somalia.
  4. ^^ Wake up buddy. I barely now my clan or subclan or whatever myself because I was raised in the diaspora and dont have any incumbent clan mentality; that doesnt make me blind and ignorant to the fact that the Clan Factor still rules in Somalia. Yes, it did work miracles in Puntland and yes, it also worked miracles in Somaliland. You try to bypass the importance of understanding and handling the clan issue in Somalia in a good way and you might as well stay in your comfortable Columbus Ohio appartment and leave the case to ppl who can handle it.
  5. LOL Ebyan, I second that the "Welcome to the 21st century" sure was amusing. Someones been watching too many western movies and have lost grip of whats going on at the ground in the devastated anarchich southern Somalia. A place were peace have become a commodity that certain groups raced to capitalize on big time by setting up a useless "administration" under the umbrella of the holy religion. The ICU group was like the crooked guys over at Enron, only thing is that the ICU gang wasnt the smartest guys in the room. Better luck next time...oops I forgot, there wont be any next time. The fat lady that was supposed to entertain us is in lock!
  6. ^^ Hey humanitarian aid worker. Where were you for the last decade? Oh I get it, you recently signed up for SOL. Welcome on board!
  7. Hussein faint Aidid is no messiah Somalia will never be Iraq Baghdad Mogadishu will not become Soon to reality you will succumb
  8. Aniguu waxaan qabaa inu X.Caydiid meesha hool weyn oo sir ah ka wado ugu danbeyntiina waxaa loo magacaabi doona raysalwasaare lol. CIAs top man right here!
  9. At the same time as Aydiid wants Ethio troops out of Somalia, he is asking for more AU troops to enter the country. As the new spokesman for the opposition in Asmara, I wonder if they (mucaaradka) have changed their earlier position of not having any external force in the country at all. Those guys are getting more confused by the hours these days.
  10. ^^ lol shame kulaha. Dude, shame is having a non-functioning motherland where outdated food and hazardous medicine is sold to ordinary ppl. Shame is having a country that has been literally off the radar for more than 16 years and only being known for being the only nation were anarchy is still prevailing. Some ppl really cant see the big picture. Dadkaan caqliga inuu ka zuulay ayaa mooda waayo waxay iska dhaadhiciyeen in ay somalinimo tahay in la iska-fadhiyo xaarka 17-sano dalka yaalay o horumar iyo aqoonsi caalami ah ka reebayay - by any means necessary. Markaas ayeey weli ku indha-adagyihiin in ay dadka dowlada raacsan ku tilmaaman qabiiliste. Caqu dad wareersan o mar kalena isku dhax qasan.
  11. ^^ The ICU didn't posess enough strenght and objectiveness to accomplish the heaviest tasks that they were confronted with on their quest for ruling the Somali Republic. This isnt that surprising considering the fact that the idea of Islamic Courts was "invented", funded and organized by local businessmen who wanted to make benefit of the system as a lawmaker for seurity and to prevent customers from breaching contracts. However creative and efficient it might have been for the business community and residents of the war-torn area, the system would not prove to be a viable option for building a nations core institutions in a short time, due to the poor development of the system. They were mostly an administration handing out warnings and laws that were abided by some but neglected by many. An administration only is not what a country that has been in anarchy for 16 years needs. I might consider voting for an ICU party in case they get their act together and embark on the political road instead of crying on Al-Jazeera all the time without any tangible gameplan except IEDs and accusations against the TFG. Here's a BBC article on the subject concerning the closing of Cirtoogte: The biggest worry is the weapons which are still in the hands of clan-based militia and ordinary Somalis. Piles of AK-47 rifles and ammunition are still on sale at the Irtokte weapons market. Sa'id Mo'alin Kulow, a businessman at the market, says supplies of weapons from Yemen and Eritrea are still being smuggled into the bazaar despite the Islamic courts taking control. "But previously Ethiopia was among the suppliers," he says Link

  14. ^^ Oh I see, it's a press release from a secret basement somewhere in the UK at the local somali jaaliyad. Congrats to the post as the new spokesman for this fictional organization. I'm gonna start my own Anime club soon, maybe we can merge our clubs? I draw the cartoons and you make the speeches for them, fair deal innit?
  15. ^^ Calm down buddy. It's just custom to provide references to articles or texts that one is intending to be the basis for a discussion on a forum.
  16. ^^ Alright but first I'd like you to provide the source for your heroic message.
  17. It's very simple Bokero. The TFG administration has in a short time laid the necessary foundation for the full emergence of a stabile, peaceful and democratic nation in Somalia. This task will not be finished until the transitional period is over and a national government installed. In order to understand the seemingly dubious appointments of former warlords into the TFG administration, one has to take into account the overall status quo that has prevailed and nourished inside Somalia for the last decade or so and understand that these actions are in fact well-planned and smart tactics to bring the worst enemies of state (or statehood)closer to the table and subsequently tame them into ordinary officials that can then be used or exploited for various reasons; in TFGs case its mainly security for the time being. Another, perhaps more important reason that these former warlords are being welcomed by the TFG is for the improvement of the reconciliation efforts, a formula that has been proven successful for these matters; look at the recent developments in Northern Ireland for instance. I'm sure that after this transitional period is over and the objectives in terms of security and order is restored a more competent administrations with a suitable background for nationbuilding will emerge. Since your not a supporter of the ICU and hopefully not a qabilist as well, I'm sure you will be more content with the work of the TFG after you see the fruits of its labor from the subsequent administrations, after the transitional period. The twaddle about colonization and whatnot is just mere demonizing remarks from the resistence, so called awr-kacsi, and will prove to be nothing but comical in the near future.
  18. ^^ - Islamic Courts Union - Popular Resistance Movement in the Land of the Two Migrations - Youth Mujahideen Movement of Somalia Hmm wonder what they will call themselves next week.
  19. Looks like its confirmed already. My source is a high level UN official so most likely its correct.
  20. ^^ Somalis don't eat fish for reasons widely unknown, could be a genetical thing. In anyways that would make fishing a great export industry, especially luxury seafood like crab, hummer and caviar could be easily introduced to western markets.
  21. Duke, make sure to email me when this Island that these gentlemen are rambling about is their new base or something is cleared off its illegal merchants. The place might be suitable for a beachfront real estate development lol.
  22. Things are exponentially returning back to normalcy and order again. Thanks for sharing these news Duke.
  23. Look out for these headlines in the days to come. The Economist was also a running an article on this last week or so where they were playing with the thought of Tony replacing Wolfowitz. My sources tell me that this will be the case so most probably Tony will be taking chair and I welcome it since he will most likely drive the debt-amnesty campaign for african countries further.
  24. 4- Axmed Maxamed Cigaal oo loo magacaabay Safiirka Soomaaliya u fadhiya dalka Imaaraadka Carabta. If this guy is the one that lives in Sweden I'm sure he will do a very good job. Ambitious and competent guy thats well recognized in the somali community here in Sthlm. But I'm not sure if it's him or not. Whatever the case might be I wish all the ambassadors good luck and hope they will live up to their posts as role models of the new Somali Republic.
