  1. Ibti- and here I thought I was doing PR for the Troll C. P.s Starting a fight is much better than participating in one.
  2. No I am not. That’s what you implied by this faraax appreciation thread and especially you equating good somali men with men who are simply fulfillng the given part of their responsabilities. Since your tired of hearing all of that; why don’t you offer practical solution to what seems like a chronic problem that’s has besieged the community? Anyhow- do tell me how is this thread- that aims to appreciate few-men who fullfill what should be give/basic-to-be-expected out of a son, brother, husband and father going to change anything? More importantly Somali women come out of their responsabilities and more; but do we get a thread that appreciate their contribution to this dead-horse for a community? No, at best you get a tokinistic thread that talks about how beautiful they are and yes lets not forget complaining about somali men thread etc or depecting them as this weakling creatures who spend most of their time complaining about their partners as if their complains have no basis. Just because your tired of hearing it, doesn’t mean its not valid/with legitimacy. After all they’re expriencing it day in day out as they striggle in their day-to-day burden/responsabilities. kk- Yes bitter is not the correct word in this instance. I would say level headed. Now am not saying there is something wrong with a bit of positivism; ohh no. All am saying is we shouldnt gush and aww on the exception; this should be the norm. By opening a thread that appreciates the few who by your accounts are really not doing anything exceptional…is rewarding bad behaviour and grossly misplaced. Mpendwa- my knickers are well untangled thanag you ferry ferry much. Val Indeed.
  3. Dont back down dhee. *wants another fight.
  4. I like your peace talk CH. Am in. Juxa- i dont understand waa runteey dhee.
  5. As a newlywed your excused Val. All you see is roses now.
  6. Typical somali@ just read the Maaddeey thread over there ...Pointing as well were you?
  7. KK- Somali women have solid reasons to complain about Somali men. But I agree on your first statement; why continue the cycle and marry such loser and worse let him father your children? Like you, I have asked the same question to several ill-fated women and they’re response has been; show me the good ones, before he married me he was a decent one and promised me the moon and the star. But as soon as i married him; he did a 360 on me, got me pregnant on the first night etc. and whenever they complain of lack of good men- I always follow up with is the problem lack of good men or Somali men? The later in so true, but there is an abundance of good men out there but Somali women (silly women they are at times) are not ready to venture out and explore those possibility. They rather settle for aight guy/a farax project or worse an utter loser just because his Somali/easy option with less drama. Now it’s around this point that I say tough luck. But the problem still stands. Now am not saying all Somali men are bad. But the reality for the majority is different. And I for one think; holding the “Somali men” in a pedestal thing needs to stop and the mirrors need to be held firmly on their faces; and for them to face the harsh reality i.e. the majority of them are nothing but waste of sperms. Failed in most aspects of their responsibilities and are trailing way behind their counterparts. Now as for your= good Somali men with; he lets us have our ways even when you’re wrong, lets you sleep extra half an hour, help you take care of the children so you can have a night out and give you money, play with the children, respects and loves you etc….REALLY isn’t that given. Isn’t that what a man/husband/father ought to do anyway? Are we suppose to jump for joy because he recognizes his responsibilities. God help us all if that’s the case. We should only gush and reward when they do more than expected and not when their barely fulfilling their responsibilities.
  8. The world is better with a cup of tea. Juxa i agree.

  14. How double dare you Old man. Ed can so talk and more importantly his more approachable than his snobby/condescending brother who is far entrenched in the new labour web, hence making it painful to vote for him. His brother on the other hand has proven himself quite capable specially in his handling of the labour division and the climate change campaign. His simply the better of the two. p.s I had a huge crush on David once until I saw him walk. The dude walks like Mr Bean. I can vote for that. p.s.s no banana with Ed. have you voted yet?
  15. Just voted for the labour leadership election. Have you? Fingers crossed its Ed and not David for the numb 1 job. C&H- that’s such a gendered statement. Am actually offended by it. Old man nay nay nay- I haven’t received anything yet for the one just passed. Voh hamara hak hai.
