    I Totally agree......but a lot of ppl are going for the whole horse and carriage thing now...i've actually been to a wedding thats done that b4...so until i meet that special person, i'll start brainstorming new ideas for my grand entrance

    LOL, there were some moments in that story that just had me crackin' up.......Darman, u have this creative, sickishly sense of humor to you.....sometimes its just plain stupid!, but then there are times where its so stupid u cant help but crack a wide smile and laugh.........unfortunately this was one of those times

    OG, i never have "hated" anyone...just because i think some of the things u say are a little OFF, and i think ur weird sometimes,doesnt mean i hate u. Your analysis of my name wasn't right, i didnt disagree with you for the mere pleasure of it, i disagreed b/c it wasn't right.....GOSH, i dont know what to say about you, just cause someone disagree's with what ur sayin, or in my case, informs u that some of your "posts' are bizarre, ...dont assume that the person is out to get you :mad: .....lighten up and learn how to take some criticism sometimes

    yo we need to have May 18th in America too that's not fair....anywayz, have fun for us y'all...

    Cute_lilGirl, there are numorous cities that do actually celebrate somalilands independance day. In Atlanta, we actually celebrated it last year..........it was pretty good. I'm going to try and go to Columbus's celebration this year, cause i heard there's is better. Just go to a city with a lot of somali's, chances are they might just be having one.... :D

    LOL, well i honestly dont like my name to much, because i never really did make it up. My friend introduced me to this site and since she didnt really want to become a memeber( cause she's ethiopian), i told her i would join. She's the one who made up my nickname. She used Princess b/c that actually use to be a nickname guys around my neighborhood use to call me ( it was really somalian princess). She added the sexy part b/c she said Princess alone was taken. ...so no Og_Moti i dont see myself as sexy, and its not a way i want to be seen as either.

    I'm not gonna act all feminist here, (cause believe me..you will get at least 10 of those by the end of the day), but im gonna try to explain a few things to the best of my knowledge. I honestly dont think there was a problem with women back in the day taking care of their husbands like that, and even though the percentage has decreased, some women still do that! But times were different then. Men were the sole economic providers. High precentages of those jobs back then dealt with their physical abilties. Heck if my man, bent over backward to bring home a check that pays for our well-being,and i stayed home all day with the kids, the least i could do was take care of him when he gets home. Its only fair! But then industrialization comes about, and jobs that didnt require great strenghts of physical ability. Women realizing that they too could have the opportunity to be something ELSE, cause trust me, you cant expect to go about life telling people how to live their lives, and that is all to expect of themselves & anything otherwise would be out of the ordinary......True enough, there were women who were just happy with what society had in store for them, but then you have those( the more educated) who weren't satisfied....For me, i think its a wonderful thing to have your mind set on just taking care of your family( cause lord knows that brings about a lot of stress and responsibilties!!), but i have this desire to be more than that. Of course, every now and then i wouldn't mind taking care of my husband, and the house, but with the career choice i have in mind, that will make it very hard for me, which is why i hope to find a man that will understand that.....

    ..there is so much more i can say, but i wont ramble on

    I feel ya man. But it just seems like its getting harder cause your thinking about it to much. You know like they say..." when u want something so bad, it never happens"....if you have all these expectations your setting yourself up for disapointment. Just go with the flow, who knows, the girl your looking for could be the one u never expected..........like the one just around the corner :eek:
