  1. This is positive and very encouraging, anyone know how many are due to be deployed. We need a single monopoly over violence, a clear victor to end this madness once and for all.
  2. Bloody hell what an image. Allaha u naxariisto, but what happens in the next couple of weeks is critical for the future of Libya as a state. There are too many armed faction that need to be demobilised, too many interests at play. It could so easily veer off course and turn extremely bloody
  3. Mighty MO, FLyMO call him what you will, the mans a British legend now.

He fought back against microsoft and took the young generation with him. A big loss to the tech world. Yes a great man undoubtedly, but he fought back against Microsoft with the help of Bill Gates and largely thanks to an interest free perpetuity loan. The great strength of Jobs besides being a mercurial creative genius was his pragmatism. This at a time when Apple so easily could have gone under. Now I’m not suggesting Gates offered the $205 million out of good will, but rather he needed a competitor in the market or he himself faced being broken up in the face of stiff anti trust and competition laws, Microsoft was simply too big. Either way Jobs changed the way we see and interact with everyday devices. For me his greatest achievement would have to be the first generation iPhone. Still to this day mine is in good working order, stylistically it was leaps and bounds ahead, however it also revolutionised how we see and interact with what was a mundane everyday device with things like the appstore and itunes. 5. agreed it's all a wee bit wishy washy as to what they actually want to achieve. I think they need a more coherent plan as to what they can achieve with their limited resources. They also need to be realistic as you put it. I mean after yesterdays horror show how many families will allow their children to go back to that hell-hole in its current state at least
  6. Is this feasible. I wonder how many will get cold feet and pullout last minute. It seems like there is a lot of goodwill and these students seem genuinely motivated but do they fully comprehend the task they’ve set themselves. Good luck to them either way.

  18. Very rarely am I left with such a horrible lingering pain in my gut, a complete sense of hopelessness. But this famine and the innocent lives that will be lost is most distressing. This shows Somalia as its stands today, a country in name only, a space filled with pirates, religious lunatics and starving children. Somalia does indeed stand alone. If somaliaonline is anything to go by then the future of Somalis is indeed very bleak. we just cant catch a break can we.
  19. Ahhhh yes the legendary Arab forefather nonsense. Nice pics though;)
