  1. If you say you know some somali sisters who don't play hard to get including your self...i'm sure we do have some brothers in here who would like to get intouch with them.you asked where i got those ideas, experience my sister.
  2. To mujahid, first i would like to state that i'm an african & am proud of it.the fact that we share a religion with arabs doesn't mean that we are arabs, in the the same sense that we can't call zimbabwe a european nation, because they share the same religion.seconly i'm so sad that you made those ignorant remarks about black people.may i say to you that respect your self first if you want others to respect you therefore, don't call anyone a nigga & understand that when someone says that you're included as well.we have to understand that we are africans, sure we have soft hair and nice features, but that doesn't mean that we have to feel superior to other africans and claim to be arabs that's demeaning.we should be proud of our african heritage, that's why i wear my african shirt atleast once a month to show where i come from.being an african is beautiful my brother, like a friend of mine said, i am the light of life for iam black,i'm the origin of life for i'm african.proud to be an african,no hard feelings my somali brother just enlighting you.
  3. This is to all the ladies out there, please who are we kidding.. we all know that it's only now at your prime that you don't want a younger man but i bet you'd do anything to get a younger man at age 40 cause then we make you a live ha! so please lets not kidd each other.
  4. I'm the type of brother who likes when a woman plays hard to get, i'm confident so i'm not concerned..why do they act like that!i think why any woman, somali women in particular play hard to get is they feel powerful! they like that feeling.they love the idea of them being the dominant party.
  5. Why do we have animosity towards those of us who want to succeed? the sensible thing would've been to congratulate her, because that's what people do when they see their fellow countrymate trying to succeed, because they feel pride.we should be broud of the fact that she's one of us.regarldless of whether she's somali or not isn't the point.she's one of us who's striving to succeed therefore, she deserves our support not our critisism.i couldn't have said it better somaliprincess, besides models are some of the things that give a positive image of us,hey it's the only somali thing that you don't hear the word bloodshed after it.
  6. A somali lady that can't cook, oh my goodness! it's ok if you are an american but a female somali nomad.i don't mean to diss you sister, but that's not good.i guess it just means that those guys who put you on their list as potential xalimo are dissapointed.
  7. To make an excuse for our failures the african failures in particular we look for scape goats,so please once more we need to blame our own ignorance for our failures, not anyone else.. and then when the world came to rescue us from our barbaric and savage acts,we failed to recognize that.there's a clear line between religion and selfserving common iterest.i have to say all the views you presented here are motivated by religion.my dear somali sisters and brothers why are your opinions so religion centered???it's one thing to have religion morals but it's another to center that to all your opionions.
  8. i just recently became a member and i wanna tell you guys keep it coming.i am one of those guys who appreciates humor.i wanna add something to only in america....... only in america would a president try to avenge for his dad after ten years and say "that's the man who tried to kill my daddy" Bush talking of saddam when asked to justify why he would attack iraq.
  9. It's true lad that somalis in colleges or universities don't hang out, while other people hang out with their prespective groups.like the ethiopians in particular,i love them,i don't know if you notice, but when ethiopians recognize each other they don't shake hands or say hi, but they kiss on the cheeks to show affection to their fellow countrymates.i have seen this disunity between somalis for i'm student myself.it's getting beter though.one ignorant reason that i can think of is we still don't identify ourselves first and foremost as somalis, but unfortunately we identify our selves with "qabiil" so please when you see a fellow somali, take a moment to say hi and hopefully this will change someday.
  10. First i wanna thank those who responded, secondly i would like to make it clear that it's our own ignorance and power hungaryness that as a result we are displaced people today.not because the U.S.had something to do with it, let's get that clear.what we did to our country is 100% our fault.let's free our minds of this bondage of idea that says the U.S.wants to destroy every muslim country in the world.with the exception of Bush because he is a nut case.plus we have to take into consideration the fact that islam and christianity have allways been at a collision course since the begining of time.if you want to takl about war blame it on arabs cause they are the reason that live is difficult for every muslim today in a western country.it's because of them that before you were just an african and everyone loved you,and now you are a threat.i'm not sorry for being logical, the U.S.has given me everything therefore i'm an american,so should you.
  11. I want a post a question for the nomads here, because we are the young and the intelectually gifted that this country of ours has to offer.why do we want to side with arabs agains the western countries when infact it's the western countries, the u.s.in particular that helped us when we were starving. when infact no arab country would take us in it was the western countries that extended out their hand to us.and the arab countries woud deport you from their country, saudi in particular.don't misunderstand me i love islam, ofcourse i don't want to see anyone wronged.we are religion blinded,so it kills me to see all this love for arabs.i don't hate anyone don't minsunderstand me, but it's about time we got our priorities straight.we need to support the u.s.and we don't need to hate isreal cause, isreal was the first country to vote for somalia to be independant, at the u.n. when libya refused to do so in 1960.i say we need to get our priorities straight.so please this is not our battle,we have our country that needs work. ideas are welcome
  12. Me personally i would prefer someone from my own country, cause i want my children to speak my mother tongue.i want my kids to communicate with my mom and grandma, you can't put prize on that, however i watch my self not to be labeled a racist, so i say if i can not have what i desire, cause it's takes long time and it's difficult to find that someone, then so be it, so i say, if you find someone you realy connect,"isfahantaan" stop pursuing what you can't have, and start reaching what you have.in that case then race should be secondary.
  13. here's to slipping, you did what any man would've done, nevertheless you should've waited just little, she would have come around cause that's the nature of somali girls,it takes them a while. besides i don't know if you notice but in america people give priorities to their homegirls first.i just hope for your sake that the spanish chic lookes like j.lo, cause you just killed your hopes with the somali queens.
